Good food, prompt and friendly service and excellent value for money for the set menu. In the Autumn Salad, the salad leaves could have looked fresher and the serving of dates was mean. Highly recommended for lunch and pre-theatre dining.

Although the restaurant was busy (and quite noisy) we found the service to be very good. The food was to a high standard too, as usual

Seated very quickly and the usual "complimentary" water supplied. Order taken within 5 minutes and food delivered within 10 minutes. As ever, the food was hot and full of flavour - delicious. Staff were helpful but not intrusive - loving a bit of Cote!

I visit Cote regularly and like the food a lot, it's good and not massively expensive. The service was ok but not brilliant but it was busy with pre-theatre.

This is a great place for a pre-show dinner. The menu has lots of choice and service is prompt and helpful. Steak frites is always a good choice but I was tempted by the salmon fish cake with spinach and a poached egg, too. Prices are very reasonable forCentral London. Thank you, Côte!

Although they were very busy, we were served quite quickly throughout. The food was good and pre theatre menu very good value, especially for where it is. It’s always our first choice when we need a pre theatre meal.

We had a really nice meal, we were sat downstairs and there was only 1 waiter and he was rushed off his feet. He was great the service was brilliant but he needed a hand for sure! Lovely food, great prices. thanks for a lovely meal

I ordered onion soup, which was only tepid. This was followed by a chicken dish which, was 'dry as a bone'. A thoroughly disappointing meal, for my guest and myself. The worst I've had in Cote. The service was good.

We love this branch of Cote. It has a great atmosphere, loud and buzzing! The service is excellent from start to finish. The staff is friendly, polite and professional. We asked to move to another table away from the door and it was no problem for the wonderful young lady on reception, even though the restaurant was filling up fast. Our meal was superb, very tasty and the veg was cooked to perfection. Service was very smooth from one course to the next, without feeling rushed. It was another great visit to Cote and certainly won't be the last!

The service was not up to their usual standards. It was slow and they provided water but no glasses and then brought the wrong dessert and took ages to bring the correct one. However, when we brought this to their attention at the end of the evening, the manageress was most apologetic and took appropriate action. The food itself was excellent though. We would go back...on the basis that it was just a blip.

Cote is a busy restaurant. The menu is designed for diners who are stopping in for a bite to eat before theatre or an evening event. The staff are friendly and efficient. We eat here on a regular basis.

Cote in St. Martin's Lane was perfect. Despite being very busy, staff were attentive, without being overbearing and each course was served 'just right's and motto rushed. More importantly, the meal itself was excellent and reasonably priced. A perfect pre-theatre venue.

Good bistro-style food, reasonably priced and good service. Centrally located near Trafalgar Square and Covent Garden, not too crowded though, and a good location for an evening business meal.

Cote is always reliably good but yesterday it excelled itself. The pork belly was meltingly delicious and thanks to a free bottle of very drinkable Merlot the bill for two was ridiculously small.

We had the pre-theatre menu, and both our starters and mains were delicious. My daughter is a vegetarian, and they have a menu just for vegetarians. The service was very good.

I found the restaurant very noisy and as I had specifically asked for a quiet table I asked the manager to move us to the back where it was much quieter. As always the set lunch is good value.

Cote has fantastic food at such good value - as always! However this brand is always so so busy, meaning service is slow and they had run out of five red wines on the list (and there was only about 15 choices!)

We love Cote restaurants for their reliability on range and quality. Since our last visit to this branch, we thought it had improved on all fronts. The staff are excellent, the food and range of choice is of course the same as any other Cote, but the quality here is now very good (and the over-cooked poached egg was quickly replaced with a perfect one).

We arrived at 4pm and were shown to a table immediately. Our order was taken and we were served very helpfully and politely. The food was as ordered and couldn't be faulted. We left around 5.15pm with enough time to arrive for our cinema seats at 6.00pm.

Service painfully slow. Took 2.5 hours to have a starter a main and pay the bill. We felt totally forgotten about. We were left for 20 minutes with the dessert menus -- we would have ordered pudding and coffee if anyone came to take our order. Had to ask to pay twice and then waiter walked off for another 5 minutes when we had cards ready to pay. No thank you or anything when we paid. Very poor service.

We got what we expected in what is essentially a fast-turnover, but good quality, eaterie in Central London. Tasty food, competently served quickly. Plates and some of the food could have been hotter. The place was very busy, but service was efficient and attentive. Good.

Friendly restaurant with good food. We all ordered different things, I was on the pre theatre cheaper menu and was very happy with egg bacon salad, coq au vin and sorbet (14.95) My friends all ordered from main menu and although we were told the mussels were finished we saw someone get them an hour later. Main courses all very good. The wine we wanted was unavailable later on but they were very busy and we were offered another slightly more expensive bottle.

Great food, staff brilliant...but why did the veggie breakfast come with one piece of toast and the Full English come with more...for the same price...
