Good food. A bit noisy, but bearable. Slow to bring the wine and the bill, but it was busy. Up to normal Cote Brasserie standard.

Great location and nice staff. Food to normal Cote good standards. Restaurant service under pressure at peak times, so be prepared to wait. Only French wine on the menu.......?

Nice food, pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff on this visit (have been several times before). But I had to ask for the main dish to be reheated as it was not hot when served.

We were kept waiting rather a long time when we first sat down at the table - for which a waitress apologised - and the wrong dessert was served to my husband, but apart from that, the service was good (on a very busy day) and the food on the set Christmas menu was excellent for the price charged.

The restaurant was very busy but our waiter was helpful, friendly and attentive. Food very good and reasonable for a London. They have a separate vegetarian menu which is a bonus for my husband to have a choice and especially great for a French restaurant.

Very busy pre Christmas and pre theatre in this restaurant yet service was excellent and the food great. Faultless experience. All staff were on the ball and they were obviously a great team. This is how a restaurant should be run.

A miserable wet day cheered up by a warm welcome at the desk and an attentive waiter throughout our meal. As usual, the food was most enjoyable. Recommended.

The set menu is always good value and interesting too. We enjoyed the Lamb Parmentier, a sort of superior Shepherd's Pie served with a hearty portion of carrots. The starter of Smoked Mackerel Rillettes was very tasty, as were the Smoked Pork slices and we would also recommend the Mushroom Brioche. The food is lovely, the staff are charming and helpful, but the only drawback is that when the restaurant is busy, it is SO NOISY!

Great restaurant & good service. I wouldn't say that there was a spectacular atmosphere, but it worked well for a meal between old friends. Would definitely go again.

Having booked a table three days before, I was surprised to be told when I arrived at the given time that I would have to wait until a table was available. Having said that, when I informed staff that I was not accustomed to such a response, a table was quickly found and prepared. Some dishes were excellent, others acceptable. The waiter was attentive and agreeable. I would prefer to leave my own tip in relation to the quality of service rather than have a service charge imposed.

The service was very slow. Our order wasn't put through, so after a long wait the waiter came over and took the order again. It was a bit more expensive than we would normally pay.

An excellent meal with friendly and efficient staff. However, when full, ambient noise levels in this venue become very high. Could anything be done to reduce this? P.S. Your 'pain perdu' dessert is superb (rating 6!)

Same quality food that I have enjoyed in other Côte Brasserie venues so that was a real plus. However, lots of choices confusion by the staff of the table and getting the order right. Very busy and not such a good atmosphere as normal!

Covent garden Cote Brasserie is in a great location for theatres, cinema and shopping. The food is always top quality and good value. We had the Christmas lunch menu, three courses for £22.95. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent - efficient yet very friendly.

Good location. Nice atmosphere. Unfortunately one main course was incorrect and my friend waited a while for a replacement. I left for a train and understand the manager came out and took the meal off of our bill but it was annoying for my friend. Otherwise good food and a good evening.

Friendly, attentive staff even though packed out! Delicious, freshly cooked food: my salmon was delicious, my friend's steak was pink as she ordered, the sweets: Pain Perdue and Creme Caramel were yummy. Couldn't - not that we wanted to - fault it!

A lovely post theatre evening meal. There was a slight issue with the bill but this was quickly rectified and we got some money knocked off the bill for this even though we didn't ask for, or expect this.

Really disappointed. We have eaten at many Côte’s and given the highest points but St Martin’s Lane was bad - service, wrong order. Booked for 1000 hrs - no skimmed milk, no orange juice - at that time in the day surely they had not been soooo busy to have run out. Will not visit this location again.

Helpful, welcoming staff. Great food very reasonably priced. Pre theatre menu very good, no delay in service. Recommend mushrooms on brioche, apple & blue cheese salad for starters & baked Camembert for mains.

Excellent fixed price meal. However I am hard of hearing like millions of older people and wear hearing aids and the noise level was so horrendous that conversation was impossible. My companion who has good hearing also struggled. You really need to install some acoustic sound deadening. The RNID ( Action on Hearing Loss) can advise on this.

Cote offers fantastic food and service. The restaurant was very busy so be prepared for that. I have marked the rest down as we were seated by the door and it was very cold as people kept coming in asking for tables even though they were full. Perhaps a board outside stating this would help

Terrible service. We had a theatre show to get to and allowed 90 minutes for dinner. But the food took forever to come. When it did half the order wasn't there. Then we decided to try to have a desert and again it took forever to arrive and so we ended up paying and leaving without it so as to not miss the show. When we told the staff they didn't seem to care that we had paid for desert we hadn't received. 90 minutes to have one course of steak and chips? Appalling. We won't be going back.

Good quality French cuisine at a reasonable price. The risotto vert was very nice, service was fine but we found it rather noisy and difficult to hold a conversation. Tables are placed quite close together.

Excellent as usual! Good value nice glass of wine and lovely waitress - working very hard. BUT......Still madly cold with that door opening and closing which should be sorted by now! There's got to be a way!! Especially minus 1 today! We were seated well away from it but still freezing! Still - we'll be back no doubt!

A very rude lady at front of house who tried to seat us downstairs by the loos was not a good start. The food was good but overall experience marred by the poor welcome.
