Food was good, however the level of service was very poor. We waited over 30 minutes for our drinks initial drinks order. Not enough waiting staff for a busy Saturday evening.

We were attending a Matinee @ the ColiseumTheatre So booked a table for two as I know from experience this branch of cote gets extremely busy. Upon arrival we received a warm and friendly welcome and were shown to our table. Our waiter was excellent, and brought the complementary filtered water to our table as always was most welcome. Once again Cote have with this months set menu, and have now added a premium set menu for a little extra cost. There are so many delicious dishes it is very difficult to make a choice. The food was beautifully presented, and served immediately after cooking. The food, and service were excellent, however this branch of cote is very busy and gets extremely noisy so it is not a branch for a relaxed quiet meal.

I booked a table for 3. When I arrived I was seated immediately. The food was delicious, prices reasonable and staff very attentive. It was quite busy but overall there was a good atmosphere. Happy to come back!

Delightful friendly waitress; lovely food; good table. A relaxed and enjoyable meal. I often use this restaurant and always find it good value for money.

Excellent pre-theatre supper, delicious food, first class service. I have always had a good experience at Cote, and strongly recommend it to friends. The prices are very reasonable for a very high standard.

Very loud, rushed, food poorly presented would not go back!! Service was poor, staff didn't seem to know what they were doing, very disappointing as the Cote in Brighton is amazing

Good food, good wine and friendly service. Slight delay in taking our food order but not a big issue overall. We were offered a table inches from the busy entrance which we thought was a bit unfair as we had booked in advance but the waiter did not hesitate to find us another when we declined.

Very busy which was a disadvantage as staff were run off their feet. Our meals were very dry as had probably been sitting under a heater for a while as they turned up five minutes after ordering.

The food was of the consistently good standard and the staff were very efficient. The insistent music thrumming away in the background was distracting and unnecessary as the bustle of the busy restaurant created a pleasant atmosphere (only marred by the wretched music).

Delicious food - pork belly and duck confit - and lovely, welcoming staff. Efficient too - despite packed pre-theatre crowd. Highly recommended - this sort of quality is rare in the West End.

The food was excellent; cannot fault the abundance of delicious flavours. The service however was ridiculous as the place is too crowded and the servers were dashing around and late in bringing water, side plates etc. to our table. I would recommend going at a time less busy. Certainly good value for the money; exceptional for London.

Booked Cote St. Martin’s Lane for a group of 4 just before going to the theatre. Another person came at the last minute... and they were very accommodating. I chose 2 courses from the pre-theatre menu. Good quality food for a very reasonable price. Staff lovely and attentive despite a very busy service. Would recommend highly.

Good food, nice atmosphere, service is really good but the staff are busy so we waited a while between starter & main course but we weren’t in a hurry so that was fine.

The restaurant is always very noisy because of the tiled floor and you cannot hold a conversation. More staff are needed between 5.30 and 7.15 as people come out of a matinee show and want a meal, others want a pre evening show meal and the staff cannot cope.

I don't know how your staff manage to get meals out in a reasonable time, and with a smile, when the restaurant is heaving. My only crtism on this occasion was I didn't care too much for the Artichoke Risotto. But that was my choice, and my friends steak was cooked to perfection. Always good value for the special menus.

Service very slow - looked like not enough staff. Had we been rushing for the theatre, it would not have been a good experience as tried many times to catch the eye of a waiter... Don't wish to get anyone into trouble, but our waiter sneezed twice while at our table, albeit when we were paying the bill. He would have continued to serve food and drink so this practice is very unhygenic. Staff should be reminded that when such a natural act overcome them, they should have a hankerchief on their person. Failing that, grab the first napkin you can get a hold of. Not impressed!

The food we had for our starters and main courses was excellent, but we were unable to get the waitress' attention to order a dessert until it was too late (we were on our way to the theatre). That was a huge disappointment as we were really looking forward to Cote's famous creme caramel. It was not quite clear that they were very short staffed and very thinly stretched - the first time I have experienced that at Cote.

The staff were very helpful as my daughter has an eating medical dissorder requiring exclusion of certain foods . We were served promptly as we were going to the theatre . Everything was hot . The waitress was very attentive . The overall experience was good .

It is a very noisy restaurant, as there are n soft furnishings –tablecloths, curtains, carpet – to absorb the sound, but the food was good and the service was efficient, with one exception: I ordered lemon tea and was served first with tea with milk, then with lemongrass and ginger infusion, and finally with tea and slices of lemon. Not a big deal but a waste of the waitress's time and energy and of the pots of tea.

Booked pre theatre supper. Restaurant packed including downstairs. Waited 45 mins for starter. 10 minutes left to eat main course. No time for pudding. Food excellent and staff excellent but not a pleasant experience as kitchen clearly could not keep up with the volume of customers at this time in St Martins Lane. I took 3 guests and it was uncomfortable.

The food was really good, especially the steak (my friend enjoyed it a lot!). Please make sure that the staff knows what dishes are lactose free (the waiter had to run to the kitchen every time to confirm every single dish). Once we finally choose the dishes, and my friend who should not eat any milk finally ordered a steak, she got it with... butter on the top. Also the staff had a problem with the bill, which had to be amended. To be fair - they were all very nice and friendly. It just felt like they need more training and experience. And you should be more careful with the allergies/food intolerances. Best, Kinga

We had a brilliant meal at the St Martins Lane branch of Cote on Sat 18th August. The food was amazing and the staff couldn't do more for us. It was a really warm day and we were grateful the staff put us near the air conditioning!

Good food at fair price. Efficient and pleasant service with a smile. A little cramped, especially with a large lady at an adjacent table who found it necessary to lean over my side of her table and occupy the space between us. Being busy there is a tendency to rush the service.

We enjoyed the customary relaxed atmosphere, predictably good food and friendly service. This was a Monday evening reservation, so although we left it late to book out table, we had no problem. Book earlier for busy Fridays,

The Covent Garden branch of Cote is one of our favourite restaurants and we always have a good experience there. On this occasion, everything was as good as it gets. Fine food, good wine and great, friendly service. We also welcomed the offer to be seated at our favourite table where we enjoyed a complimetary kir royale. We opted to dine from a combination of the two set menus which offer excellent value if you are seated before 7pm.

This is our go to restaurant when visiting London theatres. We had the set three course meal which, as always, was well presented and with plenty of choice at a very good price for London. The staff are welcoming and attentive without being obtrusive and a lovely buzz in the restaurant makes for a very pleasant meal. I would recommend that you book for pre and after theatre as it is very busy and we saw many people turned away who did not have a reservation. Highly recommended - you will not be disappointed.

St Martin`s Lane where I most go to dine with my friends and my husband because it is very organized and quite elegant environment. With this experience I took my friends who has come from abroad at 9th of August,18 for dinner and unfortunately it was worst time I ever spent in Cote Covent Garden. It was really bad from tables, to service, and timing. I was so embarrassed to my friend , had to keep saying that "there is something unusual today" which it was actually I don't know maybe the manager of restaurant has been changed or he was off Really don't know, The table is not arranged properly, there was always something missing we had to keep asking, we are ignored no one serviced to us for ages in each course, including between main and starter It was the same for the table next to us, they were complaining as well
