Good place for pre theatre meal with delicious food available
Took an hour for the main course of pork tenderloin to arrive (on the prestige menu!) to arrive and it was so salty you could not eat it, particularly as there was so so little mash potato. I didn't complain - I just wanted to have a pleasant meal with my mum. Does anybody actually read these? If so, could you get back to me with your comments. Thanks
Never have a fault with this branch lovely staff and food
Best place to eat in London - choice, quality, service and value are all excellent
Lovely food and very good service. Great value for money
The meal was good and the service friendly. The only negative was the wine. I had a glass of red that cost nearly £10 and I would have been disappointed if I had paid half that amount for it in a supermarket. My wife was equally disappointed with her glass of Sauvignon Blanc which she said was too acidic.
Pre-theatre dinner. Even though the restaurant was very busy, the service was very quick. 3 of us chose the steak from the set menu which was cooked to perfection - my husband asked for blue and that's exactly what he got. The medium rare was also excellent - compliments to the chef - thank you.
Very speedy service from lovely waiter who was very attentive. Great food. Good value for money with the set menu.
Fabulous value, quality of food and lovely attentive staff! Excellent.
I am a very regular customer at Côte, which should speak for itself. After many years I have never been seriously disappointed as the standard is constantly good throughout the chain of branches. Today was an exception. The gazpacho was lukewarm and we then waited 45 minutes for the main course. When it arrived, my Poulet Grillé was tough and dry and the potatoes appeared to have been reheated. By contrast, my wife's Half Breton Chicken was underdone and pink on the bone. Diners on the adjacent table were experiencing similar problems. We did not wait around for desert or coffee. In mitigation, the waiter did apologise profusely and the bill was adjusted as a gesture of goodwill. I sincerely hope that this was a one off due to some problem in the kitchen and it would not put me off using this chain in future, as long as this is not a sign of things to come.
Great service. Food was excellent. Perfect place to go for quick meal before theatre
Normally love love love Côte, but a little disappointed tonight. In the greater scheme of things it was still good food and great value, but staff seriously overworked. 30 mins after booking we still hadn’t been able to order and you felt staff on the edge. Had to ask twice for napkins and wine. Once theatre crowd cleared it got better, and food always fantastic value. Just felt staff needed a bit more support so they could be a little less snappish. If you’ve never been before, this is still one of the best value places in town; but as a regular, not quite what it was.
All cote restaurants are of a high standard at a reasonable price.. The staff are unfailingly efficient and friendly, nothing seems to much trouble for them. The decor is nice and the seating comfortable, they all have high standards of cleanliness. I always try to find a cote restaurant wherever I go.
A good quick Pre show or after show meal. would visit Cote again
Terrific food as usual but the whole experience was made delightful by the attentive and polite waiter - an absolute joy and very helpful!
Very busy restaurant however service was quick and efficient, food as usual was very good.
Excellent food. But the service was not exactly friendly. The waiter was curt and abrupt. They need to be a little more customer friendly
We always enjoy a meal at Cote restaurants. Good value for money with quality food and the service is usually good too. No exception here. My only complaint would be the level of background noise. Perhaps more soft furnishings would help. But overall, great.
Pretty average food and drink offerings at the price. Will go elsewhere next time. Pre theatre option looks better value. Trading on location.
"I always enjoy Cote. Got the table I request and a glass of bubble pre birthday. Will be going there post birthday with my twin so I hope we get the same again".
Restaurant very noisy and hard to communicate with person dining with. Service efficient but hurried and felt like a conveyor belt. Sort of Macdonalds feel. I’ve been here many times before and not felt this
Enjoyed food , a bit noisy being Covent Garden, but staff all good and responsive to needs
Great service, attentive staff. The menu is versatile we have visited with a vegetarian friend she had no problem to find something on the menu that she liked.
Moules not hot otherwise food good. Toilets poor. Good toilets reflect good management. Service good and pleasant staff.
We love Cote. At this particular branch the food was good (salad nicoise and goats cheese salad ) but the two chicken dishes were dry. Noise levels were so high, we found it difficult to hold a conversation. Service was exemplary as usual.
Excellent food and very good, fast service. Busy and noisy but a great atmosphere
Food tasty and Service was good. Very busy early evening pre theatre. Water very helpful. On,y criticism wine could have been colder but when we asked for ice a new ice bucket with ice in rather than water was brought over. Very good value. Would recommend.
We were welcomed and taken to our table straightaway. The service was friendly. The food was slow coming but that suited us as we were catching up and chatting. We all enjoyed our meals and wine.
Incredibly noisy in the restaurant - bad acoustics Nicoise Salad was lacking in key ingredients. We did mention this and the staff were apologetic and reflected this in our bill
We always enjoy going to Cote St Marin's Lane before a West End show and it was nice to get the Delfont Mackintosh offer this time, a lovely kir royale. It was quite noise though, but the food was good and the service efficient
One of my favorite places in London.. Always very pleasant 👆
Another very enjoyable evening with friends, I can still taste the new goats cheese and walnut ravioli it’s truly delicious
Lovely food and drink. Prompt excellent friendly service good location
The service and the food were good, and as per expectations. Our waiter Thiago was caring and efficient. I know we eat at prime time, post and pre theatre,so the restaurant is very busy; but the care was top rated.
Excellent quality of food, friendly service, not rushed. Perfect location for theatre and good selection of menu options available
Never yet had a bad meal at Cote. That's still the case. Food good, service excellent, timings swift. Only complaint was the noise, but that's because restaurant so busy!
Excellent service. Waiter nice and chatty and very polite. Thank you
Lovely meal with superb service. Lots of choice and a good price.
You know what you are going to get and it is always great.
Seated quickly and served drinks. We had theatre tickets, and the staff made sure we were served and left with plenty if time. Food lovely we choose from the a la carte menu. Staff professional and friendly . We will return soon.
Excellent meal with exemplary service - as usual. We ate the pre-theatre menu. Côte restaurants are so reliable and good value for money.
We enjoyed a very tasty meal provided by lovely staff who were very attentive but not too intrusive. We were also provided with complimentary Kir Royals as we were celebrating my husband's 50th birthday, what a lovely treat!!
Service was very quick which suited us as we were going to the theatre. Restaurant is very noisy - don’t know if anything can be done about that as it is hard to have a conversation.
Very very busy and noisy. Food was good and is always consistent.
The food was as expected from Cote but what made our evening was the service. Absolutely lovely - our waitress was patient, friendly and helpful.
We were here hotties day of the year, service excellent, topped up with plenty of water. Food very good value. A bit noisy but was very busy .
We have always been to cote restaurants after a west end show but today we were disappointed. We wanted to order off one of the set menus and the dish that 3 of us wanted to order was not available which was disappointing. Also beginning the hottest day of the year, we were very hot as the air conditioning was not working. We later found out that it was working downstairs but we weren't given the option to sit down there.
Welcoming and charming service, good food as always and reasonable prices - Cote is always a good choice
Great manageress good food good service well priced ticks all the boxes for a pre theatre meal
Not the first time I have been here and will not be the last food service brilliant
