Excellent service, good, reasonably priced food, but difficult to have a conversation as it was very noisy.
Food was very good, staff friendly and service super quick.
Very busy Friday night service - we were a party of 6 celebrating a 21st birthday. We had contacted the restaurant in advance to advice of the special evening. When we arrived we were unsure of who our waiter was as we were served by more than one person. When were served properly it was by a wonderful lady with glasses who could not do more for us, she was amazing! When our food came we were served by a very abrupt, rude gentleman who spoke to the man holding the plate tray very aggressively in front of us, we thought this was completely unnecessary and extremely unprofessional, made us feel very awkward. When our waitress came back she was upset that we had been served from someone else, there was a very big awkward atmosphere between all of the staff which made for an awkward evening such a shame as it was for such a special occasion. Will not be returning.
I ate from the fixed price menu. The goat's cheese starter was excellent. I then had the pork tenderloin. It was very good. The portion size was excellent. Overall that menu is very good value for money.
We were warmly welcomed and well looked-after. The Complimentary KirRoyales - for my Guest’s Birthday - were much appreciated. Thank you. The main course was also pleasant - but served far too hot, which initially impaired the flavour and it was necessary to wait before continuing. Overall, it was an enjoyable evening.
We had an excellent meal, served by a charming waitress.
Best meal I have had at this Cote. Great value for money. Creme Caramel was sensational!!
Pre theatre meal for 4. We all had the prestige menu. Food was all excellent. Wine perfect and service superb
Cote as always never fails to deliver , excellent food, service and value , see you again soon !
Once again we had a nice time at Cote, service and food excellent
On taking our seat we were offered the menus, but only the Prestige set lunch menu was offered at £19.95, along with the a la carte. I had to specifically ask for the basic set lunch/pre theatre menu at £15.50 for 3 courses. The couple on the next table also asked for this. It seems that that particular menu isn’t offered as a matter of course. Many people wouldn’t necessarily know that there was a cheaper option. My starter of mushrooms on brioche contained only 4 tiny slithers of mushroom. The sauce was delicious though. The main course and the dessert were very good too.
Always happy to eat at Cote ,the food is good and excellent value The service is quick and efficient .A good experience
I’m a very frequent visitor to Cote and usually have the delicious Steak Frites. Last night my friend and I ordered SF but neither was good. We both ate about half of it but sadly it became inedible - stringy, difficult to cut and very chewy. Not the best experience. This is so unusual for Cote - I’ve always had exemplary service and excellent food. I have to say the service was very slow last night too - definitely not Cote standard. However, I’m sure I will return!!!
Great service and though a busy period the restaurant was very accommodating in changing our booking time (for a party of six) to cater for a tired youngster. We had a celiac in our party and this was handled very well. Excellent food and friendly service. Well done st Martin’s Lane.
fantastic value for money a good alround attmospher fab wine
As always, an excellent, satisfying and fair-priced meal. One tiny quibble this time - the Rib-Eye Steak (flavour delicious, cooked to perfection)_ was, as a piece of meat, a bit of a mess - basically a two-piece portion, the two pieces joined together by the slimmest of membranes: and - whilst an element of fat is always good to enhance flavour - there really was an AWFUL lot of fat on this one... In it's own way very palatable but just too much of it...That said, I still had a very enjoyable meal and everything else was perfect... (The Coupe Noire is ridiculously childish - but wholly scrumptious ...) One last point - and it's a permanent grumble, particularly in the St.Martin's Cote - the noise is unbearable.... Couldn't you put some acoustic baffles in or something???
The ideal place to have something quick to eat before a theatre nearby.
The perfect restaurant for pre-theatre dining! Lovely buzzy atmosphere, fantastic staff and great food served hot and tasty, all in a fast timeframe. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Very nice good, excellent service, very nice atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Visited many times now in a book group. And we keep coming back because everything is just perfect! The food. The wine. The service. The staff. The restaurant. The price. Everything! We look forward to seeing you guys again soon.
Excellent service, lovely food. This was not the first time we came to this restaurant for dinner and as always they staff and food exceed our expectations. Thank you!
Friendly greeting good service excellent food good value for money will recommend to our friends
Excellent food and great service. A very enjoyable experience. Will visit again.
Wonderful afternoon spent with very dear friends. Reunion and x2 birthdays. The staff went out of their way to make it very special. Thank you all so much.
Excellent value for money as always. Shame the Breton Fish Stew is off the menu.
Fantastic, but needs more garlic for the real Parisienne brasserie experience. Great Chinon wine perfectly matches the food.
Fantastic service and great food. We will definitely be coming back
A great choice for lunch Definitely best to book.Ask for a table at the front as it's noisy at the back
Perfect atmosphere. Perfect food. And perfect service. Thanks for the attention to detail.
Very good standard of good value food, and excellent friendly service.
pleasant meal at a good price in nice convenient surroundings
Excellent service and very good food. I had a most enjoyable time there.
Food was good, service excellent and good value for money
We were in London to visit an exhibition. We booked ahead as we know this Cote gets busy at lunchtime with pre theatre diners. The food was lovely, and added to our enjoyment of a good day out in London.
Delicious food, friendly service and a good atmosphere - and also great value!
Excellent service, food and atmosphere. Another terrific meal as expected.
Everything excellent - busy but service was still excellent, and a very buzzy, happy atmosphere!
Love the buzz of this place all so good will be back
Really enjoyable meal, sensibly priced and congenital surroundings. Helpful staff
Disappointing. Food was mediocare and lacking flavour. Presentation poor.
Restaurant was very busy but the service and food was still great
We were a party of eleven, booking for a celebration, and we were asked to complete a pre-order. This was fairly straightforward. When we got to the restaurant, there was no-one to greet us but we were seated in the end. The staff were helpful enough but hardly welcoming or friendly. When we sat down we ordered wine for the table, though two people ordered beer. When the wine arrived (uncorked before it reached the table), one bottle was corked and had to be sent back. The beer never arrived. Despite our having pre-ordered, the starters took more than 45 minutes to arrive. When we asked about it the staff didn't seem to know what was going on. The staters were decent when they arrived. It was a similar story with the main course and pudding - the food was good, but it took an age to arrive. The prices were reasonable enough, though not exceptional. To be asked to pay a service charge was presumptuous, to say the least. Overall it was a disappointing experience. My advice is not to go to the restaurant for a group meal; if you do, don't bother pre-ordering.
Always good. Great value menus. Attentive staff. Prompt service. Centrally located
Had a lovely evening. Gorgeous food and wine. Excellent service and great atmosphere. Always consistently good. Thank you team Cote!
Service and food was all great despite it being a full restaurant - we had a great afternoon thank you.
The service was fast, friendly and efficient, and all 4 of us agreed that the food was very good as usual.
Fantastic lunch time two course deal. Steak frites was great!
Three friends and I enjoyed our meal - the waitress was particulrly helpful.
All pretty good. Service excellent. Minor problem dealt with well
As always a well presented meal well served Have eaten in several restaurants in the Covent garden area but still come back to cote for value and taste
