Fast and friendly service. Good quality food, affordable prices. 3 mins to the theatre.

We decided to go with the prestige set menu which was fine, but not as good as the previous occasion with the pre theatre steak and chips. The warm beetroot salad was cold. We will stick to our usual in future.

An appalling experience. We are regulars at Côte St Christopher’s, Barbican and RFH and all provide a great experience even when we are rushing to get to a concert or show. In this Côte we were frozen by the air con and told there was nothing that could be done. We received the wrong food for which we had to wait a long time and we left in a rush only to find that we had been overcharged. There were far too few people serving and the girl we had was bad tempered.

Lovely new winter menus and friendly staff. You can always rely on the food being good. It's a very popular spot for pre-theatre dining and sometimes feels a little overcrowded and noisy.

Excellent food served by friendly but efficient staff. We arrived at 7.00pm which is the busiest time but were soon seated and enjoying our meal.

Fantastic efficient and friendly brasserie close to the theatres, coliseum for us. You do need to book if you want a pre theatre meal, we saw loads of people turned away because they hadn't and restaurant was full. Still as efficient and friendly as ever despite how busy they were. We will be back...

Continues to be excellent. I lunch here 3 or 4 times a year with some ex-colleagues (all retired now). Service is efficient / friendly, and the food continues to be very good (best rib-eye steaks in any "chain" restaurant in London). Wine good quality at reasonable cost. Long may it continue.

Table ready on arrival, pleasant greeting, food good (very hot soup, well done!) and service efficient and friendly, all in spite of it being hectic.

Food was good and staff pleasant however they do need to listen to customers and take notice of sequencing of courses, we ordered a dessert, calvados and coffee- up came there coffee, then the calvados then we had to ask for the dessert- not sure what that was about! Yes, it was rectified and coffee renewed after desert was served but still an unnecessary situation, if they were unsure of the order why didn’t they ask us? All very silly, just need to listen to customers and check if they are unsure of orders or haven’t heard correctly.

The standard of food is lower than at my local branches in Wimbledon and Kingston although the menu is the same. Obviously the penalty of eating in central London where they don’t need to try. The warm beetroot salad had one tiny lettuce leaf plonked on top. Would be much better presentation to have a bed of mixed leaves. My autumn ravioli was quite dry and although I like my pasta al dente this was definitely undercooked. Also would be nice if the lady on reception could muster a smile.

Only 4 stars because the waitress was slow and was getting things wrong. We were waiting ages for courses and I finally got the lady at the front desk to let me pay the bill. The waitress handed a bill to the wrong table and there were things wrong on it. Then another table waited so long for dessert that they complained, gave up and left. She was smiley and trying hard but needs more training I think.
