Côte - St Martin's Lane

Good food! Good price! And excellent service...very busy but good atmosphere!

Cote is our Restaurant of Choice, every time we visit London. We love the excellent Menu Choice. This time we are in the middle of Veganuary. There is a good selection of Vegan Choices, however, there was no Vegan Cheese available as part of the Starter, and Cote needs to expand it's Dessert range to offer more than just Sorbet. The Main Course was Delicious!

This was a second visit for friends meeting for lunch. Our table was ready for two of the party who arrived early, and we enjoyed the 2 Course lunch menu. Friendly and efficient staff. I use my local Cote in Marlow and have the same standard of food and service as we found in the St Martin’s Lane branch. The only reason my review does not give 6 stars is the noise level, which is inevitable in a large, busy restaurant.

Pre- booked and went for a pre- theatre meal. Arrived early but staff were happy to accommodate us. This was great as we had been walking around London for a while and we were hungry and feet were in need of a rest☹️ Thank you to all the staff who made another Cote experience brilliant We love your restaurants and will be back! Loved my birthday dessert with candle x

First Cote experience for my mum and Terry. We are regular dinners at Cote Peterborough. Both loved it and were still talking about it this morning.

Hello, I’m afraid the experience today was very disappointed . I was taking my family out for a special lunch. I didn’t feel the welcome when we arrived was participating friendly. We waited a very long time for our drinks when we arrived. Three of us received drinks, but one of us waited a long time for their drink. We asked for bread when our starters arrived, but it never arrived. We asked after 20 mins and were told that that it was being baked. That’s fine, but nobody came to tell us this. Our starters were cold, so there was no point having the bread. When we asked for drinks after dinner, the wait was considerably long, compared to the other tables that were being served. I appreciate that the theatre customers arrived and it was busy, but I do believe that we were forgotten today. No one really looked after us today. It’s a shame as I’ve visited st Martin’s lane cote many times. The manager did remove the service charge, but that was because I mentioned how poor the service was. I’m afraid I wouldn’t recommend your restaurant and going forward, I will definitely visit another Cote location. Regards, Paul Toomey

Great meal and good service. Sadly we left some Airpods in the restaurant which were not retrieved.

Really great for pre-theatre dining. Fast service, great atmosphere, tasty food and friendly staff. We booked the day before and was told we would need to sit downstairs but on arrival was found a seat in the main restaurant which was kind of the hostess. Always love the food and service in Cote! Thank you :)

Cote have pre theatre dining nailed. Good food, good and prompt reasonably priced service. Super reliable and great all round.

We had a very nice lunch pre-Christmas - the food was delicious and the service was excellent, with attentive waiting staff. I’m looking forward to my next visit!

Very efficient service which was great as we were going to theatre. Waitress was very attentive & friendly. Food was nicely presented hot and very tasty.

The male toilets were an absolute disgrace - three urinals blocked off and urine all over the 'sit-down' and on the floor. The manageress was aware, and said they were waiting for repairs. This is an essential hygiene item and should be a top priority for the company - no excuse for not having dealt with this within an hour or so.

A great night. As a party of 9, you looked after us very well and the birthday dessert was a lovely surprise for my wife. Thank you!

Our second visit in two weeks to this restaurant chain as the food was lovely and good value for money.

Food quality was mainly good but not great. "Warm" salad starter was definitely not "warm", cod main course was overcooked and hard. Service was quite "curt" at times, no refresh of napkins, cutlery/serving spoons had to be requested. Nothing significantly wrong, just could have been a lot better.

Have you changed your calamari supplier? Batter too hard and crunchy and squid much thinner. The product before was excellent, this was not the same and disappointing. I hope this is just temporary.

Always a great value for money meal option, with a varied menu

It was so busy. The staff could not cope. Everything we asked for took so long . Our food arrived at different times. We certainly would not go back. a few days later we tried the real greek down the road and it was so much better. It was at that point that we realised that you can be at this price point on st martins lane and provide quality service,

The overall experience wasn’t as good as previous meals at Cote .. small paper napkins instead of linen ones, stale not fresh bread, dull chicken main course at least the creme brûlée was amazing ..

The perfect spot for Sunday Brunch. Friendly vibe, nice service and fabulous breakfast. This is our third Sunday here in a row- getting to be a (good) habit for 2020

Small family gathering from various parts of the country - some of whom were Côte virgins! Super atmosphere in restaurant and lady serving us brilliant (don't know her name but she recently broke her toe!). Food ok - some of it could have been hotter. We really liked it that we were not hassled to vacate our table. Fantastic time!

From the service to the food quality - we had a really lovely evening - and there were 9 of us

We were a party of 13 many of whom were first time Cote diners. The general view was first class food and service. We preordered as we were so many and this made getting our meals quickly without any fuss. Altogether an excellent experience.

Food excellent, very reasonably priced but need more places to hang coats. Make sure you book ... it gets very busy!!

We would not go to the theatre without first having supper at Cote. Very busy last night, but as ever service friendly and efficient. Like the idea of the one pre-theatre menu. Excellent selection.

Excellence, yet again, from Cote. Brilliant service, Responsive to our needs, Quick service, good humoured. Couldn't fault it. Wide range of menus which change regularly We now use Cote by preference for the West End, as despite the 17.00 to 20.00 pressures of shoppers & theatre goers, they have repeatedly delivered extraordinarily well. Highly recommended

Vegan option for starter was pitiful. Nothing. No soup option even though there was a vegetarian option. Only 1 main vegan option. No fixed price menu option for vegan. Only sorbet to end meal. Very lazy and woefully lacking for vegans. Wake up and start to offer healthy non meat and dairy options.

The value was excellent as always. The staff were very pleasant and most of the food was as good as normal. The beef stroganoff was, however ,bland. according to my wife who is not normally critical. There was a problem with our mains in terms of delivery time. We arrived at 1535 and had finished our starters by approx 1610. Our mains did not arrive until about 1640 and we had to leave by 1720 to catch an inter city train from Euston. Our daughter had ordered a dessert off the set menu and we had to ask for the bill before her dessert arrived in order to catch our train. Our waiter did apologise and offered us a coffee in recompense but we were pushed for time. Perhaps we should have allowed more time.

We had an early evening meal on New Year’s Eve . Food was great , service was excellent, very friendly and attentive staff .

Fantastic New Years Eve with a group of friends and family over from France. All in the group were very impressed by the standard of the food and the service was exemplary, compared to the previous night’s offerings in Chinatown. This restaurant experience made up for that and has thankfully given our guests the correct impression of what a great restaurant can provide in our home city. Massive thanks to all the staff who were working on this night, whom looked after us with care, attention and a real pride in how they performed their jobs. And all with smiles on their faces! A wonderful night out. Congratulations and keep up the good work!

A really nice atmosphere, we felt welcomed from the first moment we walked through the door and the food was amazing! Service-minded staff and overall a lovely restaurant!

New Year’s Eve post-theatre dinner. Good choice of courses and reasonable value for money. The atmosphere was very nice and the staff all excellent. Complimentary Prosecco for midnight was a very nice touch. All in all a good experience.
