Slow to initially serve, initial welcome unfriendly. Not sure if server was told we had been placed at a table. Special request of a booth not fulfilled (we have two small children) even though booths were available. Elements of food order forgotten and had to be chased. Also noticed many cigarette buts at the front of restaurant by door to access kitchen and chefs outside smoking which was not great.
Food came very quickly and was delicious but once again the service was slightly lacking. After we'd finished eating it took them a long time to clear our plates and even longer to ask us if we wanted the bill.
Enjoyed our visit to Cote on New Years Eve - a warm welcome when we arrived and although it was busy the waiting staff did a great job looking after us. Nothing was too much trouble, food was great and service was excellent....
Another very enjoyable visit with good food and great atmosphere
Lovely breakfast Eggs Royale excellent fairly busy so best to book
Nice Food Reasonable Prices Excellent Service. Most Enjoyable New Years Eve Dinner
Went to Cote last new year and vowed we wouldn’t go again as we had a dreadful time - overbooked and understaffed. But we have so many good meals here during the year we decided to chat to one of the managers about it and we were assured all would be different this year. It was. Service excellent and friendly. Food very, very good. All in all a great night. Very impressed.
excellent evening apart from disappointing crepes for dessert -they were cold and bland even though they had Grand Marnier on them and were served in a slightly unusual way ! Not worth the effort Cote ! They would have been better if they had been served folded with more orange juice and hot melted butter and Grand Marnier just added at the end and not served with ice cream or cream underneath -that could have come in a small side dish /pot .
Lovely meal ,great staff, but the table we had for 6 by the kitchen door was unacceptable, this table should not be used! I booked to celebrate New Years Eve with friends some time ago ,it wasn’t a last minute thing so to be put on this table by the restaurant and kitchen door and shuved in a corner with on one side staff swinging the kitchen door back and forth and on the other side dinners opening and shutting the main door on a very busy New Year’s Eve spoilt the evening, after all when your spending £300 you should be enjoying yourself .So do paying dinners a favour and take this table out of service please!!
Another good meal, but would have preferred a choice from the a la carte menu as well as the set News year eve menu. Staff as friendly as ever, with great service.
Whilst we understood that it was busy, we had to repeat our order to a very distracted waiter 3 times, waited 40 minutes for our food which was wrong, had to then wait a further 10 minutes for the wine we originally ordered. The food and wine, when it came was very good, but service on the whole was frantic and inefficient. Asked for the bill which never came so we had to go to the front till to pay. Not the experience we usually have here as regulars. Disappointing.
Not quite up to the usual standard. Table was not set properly - items of cutlery missing. One course arrived for two people - the remaining 9 left waiting. Some courses arrived lukewarm - disappointing for NYE. We had already submitted our orders so no excuses as to what the kitchen might be expecting. Quite poor really.
Lovely food The waiter although was a busy eve(NYE) We were left unattended mist of the eve just a fleeting is your meal ok No offer of coffee or more drinks The young couple next to us had to ask for their olives etc then their desert came when still eating their main Just attention to detail needed Couldn’t fault the food
Overall very enjoyable. Staff friendly and efficient. I would recommend.
The atmosphere is why we keep coming back. But the food is great too.
Always love dining out at Cote Brasserie, absolutely fantastic !
An early evening New Years Eve Dinner - great value, delicious food and prompt efficient service. Cote always delivers!
Nice food with good portion size and good efficient service.
A wonderful meal, our favourite place to eat. Great service. Thank you.
Disappointed that there was no French Onion soup available, cann't believe they had run out by 7pm. Otherwise service was okay.
A perfect visit for a perfect breakfast. It wasn't too busy so service and timings were excellent.
Food was great but we had to wait a while for our plates to be taken away once we'd finished our food (20+ mins)
Great food and service as usual. Attentive and willing to go out of their way to help.
Would recommend. It was good food, good service, good price
Really enjoyable experience never been before but will be back as the food was great. Happy new year 🌲🍾
There were only two meal deal options available off the combined menu as the restaurant had been busy and had run out of ingredients. We weren't allowed to combine any other meals off the main menu which seemed ridicous as there was so little to choose from. Very disappointing.
Lovely Birthday Lunch today at Cote Brasserie in Cirencester . Shame that we ordered 4 steaks but the waitress only ordered 3 ! Sent 3 meals back while we waited for no 4 , eventually served 45 mins later 😡food was gorgeous though and at least they only charged us for the drinks , will think twice before re-booking 😱
Fabulous as always!! Thank you so much. Will recommend friends
Lovely meal with my sister and husband and mum, thank you
Great late Sunday lunch with family. Lovely food and excellent service.
Wonderful service as always. Delicious food and wine enjoyed by everyone. Great atmosphere.
Excellant food together with service at cirencester tonight for my husbands birthday ......just lovely ....highly recommended
Everything was fine. It does get noisy in the main part of the restaurant, so I asked to sit near the entrance where it is quieter.
really enjoyed the food however our table was right by the front door so it was cold , also it was next to the door to the kitchen therefore it was really noisy and very busy which spoilt the occasion
As always, the, brand delivers. Reliable Good staff and food.
Lovely evening celebration our birthdays all 9 of us thoroughly enjoyed ourselves
Great evening......I had to wait for my Rose....but apart from that, wonderful.
As usual, my wife and I enjoyed visiting Cote in Cirencester for Sunday breakfast. Food good, service good - can't ask for more!
Excellent food and good service, only marred by a12.5% discretionary service charge being added to the bill. The service charge was not paid.
This evening the food was extremely good. Each course was fresh and delicious from the endive and walnut cheese starter, the SeaBass and the Chocolate Roulade. All perfect. Happy start to Christmas.
Helpful staff and our table was available even though we arrived early. A longish wait between starters and main but we were chatting so not a problem. we would return
Welcoming, cosy, brilliant staff excellent bistro food, constantly good, feels special.
Christmas Eve breakfast was great (we had the good value Formule package) but the restaurant was very "unfestive" - not a bauble, strand of tinsel or glittery twig in sight. Very depressing and not at all an ambiance to get us into the Christmas mood. Probably explains why at 12.25pm on Christmas Eve the restaurant wasn't even a quarter full. Diners probably went elsewhere to get some Christmas spirit. Staff were good although the bill was incorrect and we were over-charged by almost £10 - thankfully I spotted it before leaving. Great food etc but best avoided at Christmas if you wanted to get in the Christmas mood.
Lovely evening, food delicious, nice surroundings and great staff. Definitely returning
Excellent food and menu great service wine good but pricey
Lovely food and staff definitely would recommend for a lovely cosy meal
A long relaxing Christmas lunch with a friend in Cirencester.
Lovely breakfast however everything arrived at once eg coffee, fruit juice, cooked breakfast and toast. We would have preferred the coffee first then the breakfast. However it was all lovely.
Really enjoyed the whole meal - excellent. Would highly recommend.
Had a very enjoyable evening the place was really busy and buzzing the service was a bit slow compared to previous times ( 10 mins before we got a drink) the food was good but a bit cool but enjoyed the evening with friends, will be back because we love it there.
