Côte Cirencester

We ate from the set menu and chose from the least expensive as it had a good choice for the three of us I had the Roquefort salad then Haddock fish cake and then creme caramel delicious. My friends had whitebait, chicken breast and the dark choc pot which they enjoyed very much. Great value for money, we met after work at 6.30pm. They are so relaxed, we enjoyed chatting and laughing all evening then realising it was going up to 11pm we said our goodbyes, happy and suitably full of good food.

Guess we can be called regulars! Always enjoy our visits to Cote in Cirencester. Just love it there.

We ordered lamb rump and were subsequently told it was not available. We had to ask for a menu to reorder as the waiter seemed to think we could reorder from memory! We do expect to be told something is unavailable before we order. On our previous visit we were told the smoked salmon was unavailable some time after we ordered. A shame as the food is good and this lets down an otherwise excellent restaurant.

Such a lovely place to eat. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We go there every year when we are at the Cotswolds lakes.

Food was nice but only came in to have the lobster specials starter or main to be told that both were out of stock!

The restaurant was very busy even at 18.30hrs. The staff were rushing to keep up with demand which they did with aplomb. The food was very good, hot and tasty. It would be hard to improve for this type of restaurant.

Always feel the lack of ‘fabric’ in your restaurant decor increases the noice level to too much on occasions. However, very good value for money, service excellent and food delicious.

Always a lovely buzzy atmosphere, pleasant staff and delicious food. Sat outside in the courtyard which was lovely - you could have been on holiday !

As always there was a good atmosphere, as the restaurant was very busy. Our waiter was very helpful and explained some of the dishes to us. When ordered we didn't have to wait long for our food. My friend and I both had the lobster starter which we were both disappointed with, there wasn't a lot of meat & it was chewy! However, the seabass & swordfish were delicious.

Most enjoyable. Chateau briand was brilliant, succulent and very tasty. A first for us. Belly of pork always a favourite and chocolate mousse forever, always!

An excellent meal outside in the small courtyard to the rear of the restaurant. We opted for the premium set meal which is great value at £15.95 for two courses, and £18.95 for three. Professional friendly service from the excellent staff. Another very good meal at Cote.

The first time I’ve ever been disappointed. Such a shame always had the best food here. I had a steak with pepper sauce. I can honestly say it was totally tasteless, my husband however had a lovely meal and was very happy. I did mention it to the staff when they asked. It was dealt with very quickly I was offered an alternative. I declined and we did get some money off our bill. It was an Anniversary meal so was a disappointing part of our evening. However this will not put me off going again. One more try

I always like eating at Cote. Food is great and the service is very professional but in a relaxed way. Nothing is too much trouble. I particularly like their set menus, perfectly priced so it makes a breakfast or a lunch even nicer.

Although we chose food that attracted us the actual eating experience was slightly dIsapointing. The fish stew was largely mussels not balanced with sufficient other fish and the delicacy of the flavours was overcome by the heat of the sauce. But this is an observation not a complaint. The service from our Romanian waiter was friendly and attentive justifying an extra tip.

Good service and value, but no point in having an early evening menu if you don’t have 2 dishes available.

I simply wanted a very quiet, enjoyable and even selfish meal all by myself for once, and Cote kindly provided the right setting, ingredients and experience. I may even repeat it all over again!

I really dislike the fact that an optional service charge of 12.5% is added to the bill. If I decide to leave a tip because I had exceptional service, I will leave it on the table.
