While the food was very good we were very disappointed with our service. After 20 minutes we had to go looking for a member of staff as we had not been spoken to, offered water or drinks. Tables around us coming in after us were getting prompt friendly service. The waitress seemed to be deliberately avoiding us and ensuring there was no eye contact. We had a similar delay waiting to pay the bill once we had been given it.

As a very frequent customer to Cote we have always considered the meals to be good value. However on our last visit, entertaining overseas guests as a group of five, we were very surprised to be charged £2.25 for a small additional scoop of ice cream with a dessert.

We were made very welcome with our 6 month old baby and the staff were very good to her making us feel at ease. The food was as always excellently cooked and served with dietary requirements happily catered for. The menu was a little more limited than I have seen it in the past but there was still plenty of choice. The price is quite expensive especially once one is not using the specials menu.

We keep coming back! Service as friendly and professional as ever!

Excellent. Lovely crunchy cottage pie, delicious muscles in wine sauce, fruity smooth merlot.

Although we were sad not to see the Breton Fish Stew on the menu, the sea bream was superb.

We chose Cote for our anniversary meal as we have had a great meal there before.

We visit Cote at least once a month and this was the most disappointing visit so far due to my wife's veal sirloin on the specials being almost inedible. Not acceptable for a £20 main course. It had an unusual taste was under cooked, tough and the jus was unpleasant. We complained and it was dealt with satisfactorily however after a disappointing meal, our bill was then incorrect. Not a good evening all round!

i Have visited Cotes three times in the last month as it has been My birthday and anniversary overall the atmosphere is good however the food as been below average with one visit in particular being poor as the ribeye steak was well under cooked and tough, so disappointing esp as celebrating

Waiter forgot to place food order, we had a long wait. Also coffee order was incorrect.

Not as much fish in the linguini as usual. Otherwise very good.

Nice early dinner Waiting staff were very flexible. And accommodating Food was yummy as usual

Always enjoy a visit to Cote, good service and enjoyable food, just a little noisy on this occasion though that shows it is well used.

The lady who served us was so polite, very knowledgable about the menu and helped us make a great wine choice. Food was fabulous, the steak perfectly cooked. We really enjoyed ourselves. Thanks.

Food was great and the staff were very friendly and just attentive enough without being too much. It was our anniversary and they were thoughtful enough to write a card and gave us a box of chocolates. Also my eldest daughter is vegetarian and it was fantastic to see such a varied veggie menu instead of the obligatory mushroom or risotto meal. Would definitely go again and recommend x

The lamb was beautifully cooked tasty and tender but there were a lot of blood vessels in the middle which slightly spoiled it.

My daughter had arranged for a bottle of fizz to be served before we started our meal, luckily I was in on the kind thought, it was my husbands 85th Birthday, it was fortunate that I knew, so I went to ask if they had forgotten, of course they had, I was appalled that this might have happened. So was my daughter, when told, this is not good enough,the food was excellent,

I had booked via the offer for complimentary martini cocktail. When we arrived I pointed this out to the waitress but rather than say of course I will get these for you she said that we could only have them if I booked through this offer. Clearly I was aware of the offer. Why else would I highlight it! I just found it unnecessary and would have preferred a more positive proactive welcome. Thanks to our waiter Nick who was excellent and redeemed their customer service. I also do not like the optional service charge being automatically added to the bill. Otherwise good food, drinks and atmosphere.

Another very enjoyable lunch The tables are well spaced and the range of choice was good. The service was discreet and efficient. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Not as good an experience to what we’ve been used to over the last 4 years. I’ll think again before booking to go there again

This was our first breakfast at Cote - had several lunches before (the creme caramel is truly exceptional!) and it was delicious! My partner went for the full English and I had the French breakfast- perfect if you like black pudding as the centrepiece is an excellent blood sausage perfectly seasoned. We loved it and think Cote is now going to be our go-to breakfast outing in town

Excellent food and service as always. The consistency of the food quality brings us back time and again coupled with the lovely atmosphere and surroundings. There is a real buzz about the place.

Delicious duck, friendly helpful staff, bit on the pricey side for lunch, portions bit small, but overall we enjoyed it.

Food was delicious and service excellent. However I booked and specifically asked for a quiet table. Cote in Cirencester is always a very noisy room. I was put next to a large noisy group with children, and then another noisy group was put on our other side. There were plenty for empty tables. We should have asked to move but sometimes that upsets the flow of the meal.

Lovely wedding anniversary meal with my wife. Well done Cote, as always.
