Cote in chislehust never fails , great food and service this lunchtime.

Our time at Chislehurst was very good. We did like the food and the service was very good

Staff were very attentive. The goats cheese starter was amazing. Loved the new sunset cocktail though the glass was a little small . The only disappointment was the chocolate mousse which was too heavy and solid .

Staff were really lovely, friendly and helpful. One lady was particularly helpful with my daughter who has a severe nut allergy. We did notify the restaurant of this when making our online booking. We originally ordered from the kids menu for my DD but it turned out to have the potential for but traces. Then after trying to order other choices it turned out everything she wanted to eat from it had the potential for traces of nuts so the lady arranged with the kitchen to do a special order for her. So extra 7th star for that! Don’t know if this affected our order but the service was very slow, albeit we were a party of 10 for lunch and the restaurant was busy. Some of the kids in our party only ordered mains, which by the time we had ordered and others had starters, they had waited 1 hour 20mins before they got to eat. So deduct a star for that. The adult steaks were rather tough and well done even though requested medium rare. The vegetarian in our party was initially delighted there was a specific vegetarian menu with a wide range of choice but almost all of it had mushrooms in it which she is doesn’t eat to so she ended up just having a range of side salads and frites, so deduct a star for that. Overall, it was a pleasant and positive experience although as with most things some room for improvement re: dealing with hungry kids, and having some non-mushroom based food on the veggie menu!

Amazing poached eggs cooked to perfection and fab fresh orange juice.

I had to collect the lunch menu myself. Had to ask twice for water The chicken was dry. Watercress curled, must have been sitting under a warming light for sometime. Burnt smoke from the kitchen Did not enjoy my meal Won’t be back

The food is delicious, tasty, well seasoned and deliciously prepared. For a restaurant which is part of a chain the standards are really high.

All the things we like about Cote were present and correct but all three of our party were served steaks which could at best be described as very chewy.

Lovely meal. Good value. Nnice atmosphere. Food delicious. Unfortunately one of our guests had the french onion soup and the bowl was chipped and she ended up swallowing the broken piece. No discount was offered to her when paying her bill.

We visited Cote on Saturday lunchtime at 1pm . It was incredibly busy but there were lots of staff who were doing their best looking after diners . The food was excellent even though there was a bit of a wait . It was quite noisy but atmospheric too .

Fantastic rib,eye steak, lovely merlot ( complimentary), amazing chocolate fondant dessert!

We went on a typical Saturday evening. The service was excellent and the time taken to deliver each course was just right. That is quite an achievement when the staff are so busy. We had the February specials, scallops and chicken, which were imaginatively garnished and tasty

The service was great.......however the food was average and we waited a long time.

They had been really busy so we had a bit of a wait for our food but when it arrived it was worth it. I had duck which was tasty and tender and my husband had pork belly with a lovely crispy crackling.

A lovely, well prepared and delicious lunch only marred by the long wait to get served (approximately 35min from arriving) and the long wait for the meal. I appreciate that the restaurant was busy, but a little better organisation from management may have avoided this. Having said that, the trainee waiter was most helpful, polite and kind.

3 of the 4 main meals were very good but the Guinea Hen Ballotine was very disappointing. It was presented as a roulade cut into 3 pieces, 2 of which were filled with mushroom stuffing, quite tasty but with very little meat. The centre piece was full of scraggy meat, served pink, and had no flavour and was not cooked through. Nothing like Guinea fowl I have had in the past. If we hadn't been with friends I would have sent it back as it was truly disappointing and not what we expect at Cote.

Really good as usual last night - loved the sea bass. I am at Cote again today in St Christopher’s Place! Jx Unfortunately noise level not good last night as sitting beside two extremely noisy ladies! Regards Jenny

Both the food and the service were exemplary, the restaurant was busy, but a high standard was maintained throughout the evening
