Very challenging times - very sympathetic to tricky working conditions for staff and overall difficulties in keeping the business going. Very loyal customers so we want to support. However, this was a pretty poor dining experience - so unusual for Cote Chis. - restaurant half empty (understood) but service so rushed - we ordered aperitif but were chased three times to order food before drinks arrived. In the end we ordered and wine arrived before cocktails which meant starters arrived while we still drank cocktails - if no table turn (there wasn’t) why the rush? - skimping food - I always order crab starter. This was not crab. May have been mixed with tuna. Understand margin pressure - cut portion size not quality. - poor cooking - ordered Reblochon burger and special haddock. Both spectacularly dry. I say honestly I am easy to please but this fish was a special - no excuse for the fish presented. Burger had a sliver of cheese and husband had to order extra bacon. - chased three times to order dessert - we had been there 40 mins! Again - understand if busy but it was not. - cheese came with stale bread. Requested new bread fine. Rare treat in this world to have babysitter and leave working from home world - we were home in 1.5 hours. We love Cote - this wasn’t the normal standard. Totally understand the new pressures but these lapses were avoidable.

Extremely noisy! Pawns in fish pie rubbery and tasteless (king-size always are), and cheese almost indiscernible. Apple tart with icecream relly delicious.

I was so happy to see that Cotê had reopened. We have missed the food! We were not disappointed at all. The staff were really lovely as always. My husband didn't have a mask with him. This was not a problem, the manager (I think) offered one from a pack. The food was great, the atmosphere was lovely and the staff were attentive. Welcome back Cotê, we will be back very soon.

Good food & good service at a fair price. Particularly impressed that the cheese had been allowed to breathe & wasn't served cold as in other places. Personally, I object to a service charge as this is added to items that include government taxes, the drinks for example.

Considering the Covid situation, the service was great, especially the consideration given to my wheat intolerance. The food, as always was delicious, fresh, well presented & delivered beautifully. Our wine choices were at optimum temperature & thoroughly enjoyed, alongside Kir Royale! Good ambience. Our only gripes, the table could have been cleaner (full of crumbs) & no small plates given with our shared starters.

Had breakfast at Cote this morning our first time to a restaurant since March. I have to say they are doing a fantastic job, we felt very comfortable the breakfast was delicious, I really enjoyed the whole experience
