Food was cold... service was slow as they was busy. Wouldn’t rush back

Always a great welcome at Chislehurst, want to thank Megan and the team for making us and our guests feel so comfortable, interaction with 7 of us, 5 adults and 2 children under 5, is not always easy!

Nice space between the tables. Food, as always at a Cote was good, well presented and served on hot plates. Taking the order was very slow and it was not busy at the time.

It was perhaps the best meal we have ever had at any Cote, and was almost matched by the service. What my read as implied criticism (almost) isn't really anything of the kind, because it was a Monday with enough punters present to look like a Saturday. We look forward to returning next Monday.

A good value meal, served by pleasant staff. My husband and I had both chosen chicken for our main course (one of the chicken dishes was the weekend special) but there was no chicken at all, which was disappointing. However, we chose alternatives and our meals were well cooked and enjoyable.

Food and service are always great, that’s why we keep on coming back! Keep it up.

Building works and continuous hammering/banging. Not the setting you expect from Cote.

A very busy Friday evening but the service was still super. Our server Ettore was friendly and attentive. The meal was delicious as always.

We had to wait over an hour for our starters and then had to chase them, then my friends calamari was not cooked properly so we had to send in back. In the end we waited so long for our mains we cancelled them. Definitely gone down hill at the Chiselhurst branch.

Lovely meal, food was cooked to perfection, felt sorry for staff as they were rushing all over the place, the truth of the matter is there is not enough staff working on a busy Friday/weekend service, note to management, have more staff to oversee restaurant on these busy times. It may cost you more in wages but diners would certainly appreciate this.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere at a very reasonable cost. Best early evening menu available anywhere.

Good food nice staff but I don’t like a service charge being applied to the bill.

Staff were very attentive and extremely pleasant. Only problem was the lack of Pork Belly on the menu - this is a recurring problem on our last two visits

Two good courses from the set lunch menu. Good value and pleasant ambience, a late lunch is a time when you can actually hear yourself speak, as usually It is so noisy in the back of the restaurant. Will be returning soon. Thanks Angela Hughes

As we have always found with Cote , the food and service were both excellent.

I usually give Cotes good reviews but having gone there today for lunch (early birthday lunch) The guy on front of house was not at all friendly did not engage with us at all, I asked if it would be alright to sit on a different table (pl entry empty) his attitude was whatever, I did say sarcastically thanks for your attitude. Our meal was fine and the waitress was okay but again not the friendly service we have had in the past, Hope Cotes aren’t going downhill.

Great evening with excellent service. Food as always is consistently good.

No tables available for an hour even though there was availability online - was plenty of tables free inside. Only table free was outside, but too many wasps. Should remove the plants to stop attracting themes

Very short staffed and long waiting time for order to be taken. Once ordered food arrived in a timely manner and was good however drinks didn't arrive and we had to ask twice. Only two servers and one manager on a busy Saturday morning, not really very good. Don't know whether this is an unusual situation or whether generally short staffed but I do feel we should have been notified on arrival of the fact and given the opportunity to stay or go elsewhere. Lots of tables not cleared from previous diners and lots of frustrated guests not being able to get any service and no explanations.

Went for brunch at 10.15 today (Saturday) and only two waiting staff and one manager for the whole restaurant! A long wait to have order taken, staff clearly unhappy as were other diners. Fortunately the wait for food once ordered wasn't as long and was good. Our hot drinks didn't come and we had to remind poor server twice. I don't know if it was an unusual situation or generally short staffed but wonder whether we should have been told on arrival that service would be slow giving us the option to stay or go elsewhere.

As always, excellent food, service and value for money. Why cook when you can Cote? Especially cote a cote (side by side) as my hearing isn’t very good and sitting opposite each other makes it difficult. Ged. Balmer. 😊😊😊

Cote food is always something of a treat and this was no exception. The lunch set menu was interesting and quite varied and we enjoyed the house wine. The service was impeccable. The only point to make (and it isn't a criticism as such) is that in the last three years there has been no change in the dessert offer. I love the creme caramel but isnt it time for some new dessert dishes?

Lovely food as usual although they forgot one of our starters for which we received no apology and the gluten free main course came up completely wrong.

Our steaks were cooked to perfection and the waiting staff were excellent. A thoroughly enjoyable anniversary dinner.

Good experience from beginning to end! Efficient service, excellent food and value for money. Very good choice on the menu. Our waitress made us feel welcome and was attentive without being intrusive. We will definitely come again.
