Booked a table well in advance and requested a round table for a family birthday celebration for my 82 year old mother. We were sat on a long table by the door. Very disappointing as we went from being roasted by the over door heating to arctic blast when people arrived on a busy Saturday night. The waiter was pleasant enough but we felt rushed, my husbands main course was completely forgotten and my potato gratin was cold. When it came for paying the bill it was near on impossible to get anyone to assist, we then had to wait further for the cake box to be returned for the birthday cake. Sadly a poor evening left me disappointed for my family and my mother on her special occasion. Will think hard before returning here.

Good food, good service in a restaurant that has a good atmosphere. The only thing that needs to be put right is the invitation with an offer. It comes with two buttons to press. The button saying ‘book a table’ is at the top of the page. Depending on the device being used, the ‘redeem offer’ button is at the bottom of page and not visible. By clicking on ‘book a table’ (which is the natural thing to do) you arrive at the restaurant without being offered the free bottle of wine.

Great ambience delicious food waiters who went the exctra mile. All in all a lovely evening.

Nice environment. A few things- I was cold inside; I found my food overwhelmingly buttery and greasy and had to wait some time for service at the table.

Great lunch with excellent staff and good atmosphere at the restaurant. I think this is the best in Chislehurst with great menu at reasonable prices. I will definitely be going back.

Faultless as usual, new cocktail of the month was very refreshing, and new menu excellent. Our server Anna was, as ever, helpful efficient and friendly.

We had to wait for a long time for the waiter to give us the breakfast menu and to offer some water. However this was unusual as normally the service is very efficient. When our breakfast arrived it was cooked perfectly as it always is .

My husband and I both ordered from the February special menu. We had scallops for starters which were so delicious, best we’ve ever had ! My husband had the peppered steak for main and I had swordfish, both tasted amazing.

We always have a lovely meal at Cotes. The option of you gluten free menu is absolutely great as I am a coeliac. The food is always well prepared. However it would be nice to have a few new dishes on the menu, as we are regulars and have tasted most dishes on the menu Thank you to, to the great staff. Always good service

Very good meal and excellent service. The only fault was that I asked for a quiet table. We were placed in the middle, which was very noisy. There were other side tables vacant, and we asked to move but were told they were booked. They were still vacant when we left at 4.30. However, we will come again. Regards Mike Coster

We were overall very happy - the food was lovely and our main waiter was great. What almost soured the experience a tad was the long wait from order until service (about 40 minutes) - yes, there was one starter, but overall this seems somewhat excessive. Upon enquiring we were told it's busy in the kitchen, but the restaurant was at best at 60% capacity which left me somewhat worried. That said, when the food arrived we were all delighted!

Second time there this week and it's just as good as ever. Simple food well cooked and we'll priced, accompanied by very good service. It's why we return time and time again as a family.

Nine of my family had a lovely meal last night. All meals were lovely, except one. My son's duck breast was nearly all inedible, as it was so tough to eat. He left it all. His cousins duck breast was totally different and he ate the whole meal. I did mention it to the manager, and she said that she would tell the chef, but I was not expecting to pay for it. It was however charged for. My fillet steak was perfectly cooked and very tasty indeed.

I turned up after I made a reservation online to find there was only a set menu available which was not made clear at any point when booking the evening meal. Meaning at 8:30 at night I had to make plans and travel to another restaurant, (on valentines night) meaning I couldn’t eat until 9 o’clock. I have been here in the past and had a fabulous time but this has let the restaurant down and my views on the place have changed.

We came as a large group, for a birthday lunch. Have eaten here, many times. Food, as always was delicious, fresh & virtually faultless. All our requests were met, a little slowly at times. If I was to be picky, our wine choice could have been colder! We enjoyed our complimentary Blood Orange Martini's & a special desert for our birthday lady, was a lovely gesture. Will be back soon 😊
