Côte Cheltenham

Two of the main courses were not great - hake and one of the steak frites. Starters were all good. The service was really good.

The food was very good however there was a nasty experience when the waiter was removing our starter crockery from the table. My glass of water and red wine was broken spreying red wine over my gold silk blouse and white Camisole. We were moved to another table, however we had to request the replacement two glasses of wine and a beer as these were either broken or possible had glass shards in them and taken away. This embarrassment could have been unnecessary if we had been told at the time that replacements would be offered at the time of the incident, but was not. Then when the bill came we were unable to remove the 12.5% gratuity automatically added to the bill, the waiter had to remove it for us, again being a tad embarrassing.

As always, staff very pleasant. We were seated and served quickly. The food was lovely as always. A great ambience generally. A first visit for my friend and she is looking forward to our next one as much as I am 😊. Keep up the good work!

Friendly staff and excellent food at an exceptionally good price which you would be hard pressed to beat elsewhere. Look forward to returning next month.

The Pissiladiere had a distinctly 'past its prime' feel. Mentioned this and it was removed from bill. Otherwise excellent. There appeared to be fewer staff on than usual, although those who were, were excellent.

The food was well presented and full of flavour - and was helped down with a free bottle of Cote de Rhone. Service was good.

Lovely meal for my husband's birthday. Both the fillet steak and the duck cooked to perfection. Always a delight to eat here - the food and service are consistently good. Excellent value for money.

Good menu, well cooked. Service was efficient & friendly, no long waits. Great value for money. We like being able to eat late in the evening.

I love the way you do your steak tartare. The waiting staff are always friendly. We will come back very soon to montpellier or any of your other restaurants.

The original email,was for 2 and a complimentary glass of kir royals,this was requested as we sat at the table,further 2 request for these drinks made.Then the bill presented the charge for the free offer had been charged,we then had to request that the bill be adjusted. This spoilt an otherwise a pleasant evening

Really excellent food, great service and lovely atmosphere. Seafood linguine fantastic value. The puddings are hard to choose between but you wont be disappointed. Cote is definitely a cut above the rest.

Great value and good food! Nice atmosphere, lovely and warm. THE EARLY EVENING MENU IS VERY GOOD VALUE A D WELL WORTH DOING. UPSTAIRS IS GREAT.

Cote in Cheltenham offers a Nice setting; good service; and excellent food every time. Reasonably varied menu and a range of prices. Happy to recommend.

First class staff at all levels supported by a talented chef. I always recommend this restaurant to anyone . We had a really pleasant evening yesterday evening

Waited a while for drinks in fact we had to ask and they arrived after our starters ! Food very nice meat was a bit dry! However our comments were noted

The staff were pleasant and service was quite fast. 3 of us ordered the ribeye steak was tough and very very fatty (more than a usual ribeye). I would question if it was in fact rib eye steak. I reserved a table for 5 but it was right next to the bar and was not a good location as very noisy with staff making coffee right next to us.

As usual the standard of food was high and the service was very good. We waited no longer than 5-10 minutes between courses even though the resteraunt was fairly busy during the festival.

All I can say is this restaurant is superb and by far and away our favourite restaurant in Cheltenham. Visit this restaurant superb service and awesome food

We had the lunch menu which for three courses for £12.95 was excellent value. All the courses we had,and there were 6 of us eating, were lovely. Really tasty and no complaints from anyone.

We really enjoyed our meal. The charcuterie board was excellent and I had the duck as a main course, which was delicious - perfectly cooked.

Excellent, friendly and polite service. Good selection of dishes on the menu and good choice for our vegetarian friend. A lovely long and enjoyable lunch.

As usual food and ambiance great but I had a complimentary 4 Kiri royals only to be told we should choose from the al la carte menu this was not mentioned anywhere on the original offer, and if was th e print was too small to read therefore I would like to see it if Cotes is correct.

Food was lovely, service was good apart from the vegetables that were delivered in dishes and popped onto the table with the hand of the server covering the veg. Not very hygienic. I noticed this happened on other tables as well so would appear to be the norm.

Food and service excellent.The change of menus every month is one of the reasons we try to visit Cotes at least once per month regularly.

As always, great value for money. The staff were polite and friendly, we were served promptly, the food was delicious and the wine was also good value. The first course was good, then we both chose the Haddock Parmentier which we've had before. It was piping hot, delicious and contained a very generous amount of haddock. When we asked for a glass of port to finish off the meal, we were told it was on the house because we were celebrating our 37th wedding anniversary! Now that's what I call service! Brilliant.

We picked Cote Brasserie for my friends birthday treat. Yes, we found the service very good, food was lovely and the overall experience was to our complete satisfaction.

Good service & excellent food. I was having a day out with my daughter & we couldn't fault the restaurant or the staff. Congratulations to the chef who produced the perfect medium/rare fillet steak. We had a most enjoyable experience

The food was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. My only criticism is that they now put a service charge of 12.5% on to your bill and although I know it says that the staff get it I would always prefer that it was my choice to pay a tip and how much.

As always the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Two of our party of six had a mix up with their orders but this was put right very quickly and a goodwill adjustment was made to the bill.

Wonderful welcome from the staff as we arrived. My Savoy ham and celeriac remolade starter was fabulous. My main course was the haddock parmentiere which was very tasty however it was a little over baked and so drier than it could have been (hence the 5 rather than 6). But overall a really delicious meal and a most enjoyable visit.

Good welcome by friendly and attentive staff. The menus were explained well. Service was crisp and attentive. Overall a pleasing experience with a feeling of good value.

Our booking was a last minute thing & very late on. The staff were very attentive and the food was fantastic. We would eat there again.

Lovely food as always at cote and helpful friendly staff. Small thing but it was a shame they had run out of plaice and would have been good to know before we looked at menu.

The welcome, service and quality of the food were all first class. Recommended for a great dining experience - hard to beat in Cheltenham or elsewhere.

The food was lovely but the service was a little slow unfortunately. I also told the staff twice about my father's dairy allergy but I didn't feel much notice was taken of it unlike the last time we came as a family which was part of the reason we came back to celebrate my mothers birthday.

Always enjoy the food here and the atmosphere is always buzzing. Tonight however the service let the whole experience down. A different waiter who when we asked for tap water turned his nose up. I'm sorry but we are still customers. We are both drivers and if water is our preference then we shouldn't be treated differently than those ordering wine.

My wife & I enjoyed lunch at Cote Cheltenham today. As always, Cote offers a good meal with great service in a pleasant environment &, to our mind, represents real value. We look forward to our next visit.

Delicious food, very good service, nice clean surroundings. Didn't have to wait long for the food . Always consistently good food and friendly service .

Saturday evening in Cheltenham would tax any restaurant, particularly if the customers included a hen party. However, the staff were up to it and the usual high quality meal was delivered as we expected, though the fortunately quiet hens needed a bit more attention later on. The coue boir was a sensual experience to remember.

The food is always lovely- I'm most impressed by the separate vegetarian menu which gives more choice- uncommon in French restaurants generally, in France I struggle to find something to eat that isn't an omelette!
