Côte Cheltenham

It's a well thought out proposition with tasty food served in a friendly atmosphere. It's minimally staffed mind you and when busy, which it usually is, can be slow. It's also all wooden decor which may be easier to keep clean, but noise levels become uncomfortably high very quickly. None if which will stop ya returning...

Service from Gabriel was superb attentive but not over the top. Food was excellent as usual. Good value and cooked perfectly. We will come again. Thank you.

Excellent - good choice of dishes, well presented and attentive friendly service. Would definitely recommend to anyone for a lunch or evening meal in Cheltenham.

I like the atmosphere at Cote & it's a good venue for dinner with a friend or two. On this occasion the food was ok but not great. The flavour of the Heirloom tomato salad was down to the dressing & not the tomatoes which were bland and possibly not ripe enough; it needed bread to soak up the juices as the 'croutons ' were more like breadcrumbs. Reminiscent of the asparagus offered with a fanfare at the start of the season which was very disappointingly shards of a handful of skinny spears. Two or three fat spears with a dribble of melted butter would have hit the spot.

Excellent, friendly service. Quality and presentation of food, great. Good value for money and a great location. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience.

I had a lovely evening. The service was friendly and attentive without being oppressive. The food was very good. I look forward to going again soon.

As always it was a superb meal and value for money .Staff were courteous and it was an enjoyable My husband had the Breton fish stew for the second time and I had the pork belly also for the second time.

Generally a very good experience. Food well cooked and appetising. Good atmosphere. Welcome and service good. Restaurant busy but not overcrowded. Menu choices interesting and varied.

Brought my parents to Cote for dinner on a Saturday night. Cannot fault the staff or the food - everything was excellent and we left very happy indeed. As we were walking down I had to change the table from 2 to 3 (I realised I'd booked for the wrong number) and they accommodated the last minute change smoothly and efficiently. Staff were attentive without being intrusive and I would say did their job to perfection.

Birthday celebration for 89 year old - all excellent again, as always. Fish particularly good. Lovely, helpful staff. Busy atmosphere - good noise level. Tables in main restaurant area are best.

My first visit to Cote in Cheltenham left me feeling most imprest. Everything i.e. food,service, atmosphere was superb.I found the price of the 3 course set lunch menu very competitive also.

Good starter, main and service was great. Only thing I could quibble is the dessert wasn't the best- one from the specials menu- (not so special).

Food and service was excelllent. The only thing that spoilt an outstanding evening was diners using FaceTime loudly on the adjoining table. Very rarely do we have a noise issue so will be back soon.

Great food, friendly efficient service, good value for money! Four of us went for a meal, and we weren't disappointed! Would definitely Cote Brasserie again

Poor service when we sat down, no one asked us we wanted any water or drinks, basically ignored for about 3/4 minutes. Food was good but not great. Expensive wine and you only get 175ml

Excellent value on the pre-7pm 3 course set meal with plenty of food choices. Air conditioning was a great bonus as it was a very hot day. Food quality was great and would have given a 6 but for the slightly pricey bottled beer. We had a great night and will definitely return.

Good food great service at reasonable price. No frills just a good all round place with nice wine selection. Staff very knowledgable about what they serve.

Really looked forward to going to the Cheltenham Cote. A beautiful interior. We were met by a lovely guy with great personality.?wine was excellent and food Devine.

The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. There is a wide range of food available. Their early bird special menu cannot be beaten for the quality of food for that price. The food was flavourful and would definitely recommend making a visit here.

Lovely setting, somewhat spoiled by the noise, so noisy because everyone got louder and louder trying to make themselves heard. However, the food is delicious and the service is excellent - friendly and efficient.

Excellent service and the usual delicious food. A good choice of specials so even regular diners can have something different. We look forward to a return visit.

Prompt, courteous and friendly service; all 4 of us enjoyed our food (starters and mains) and I, as a coeliac, was so pleased to be given a gf menu with as much choice as those on the usual menu and to be spared the embarrassment of going through the dishes and missing out on sauces etc. Lots of desserts too, if only I'd had room!

Fantastic food and lovely staff who made lunch with a 6 month old a breeze not a chore! As always the set menu was brilliant value and delicious.

Staff very friendly and efficient. Good menu reasonably priced. We had modules, fish cakes and tuna niçoise, all perfectly prepared. One minor negative: our wine was brought to the table but we had to ask for it to be opened and just poired

Food was alright. Not brilliant. Just alright. Which is probably not too awful a comment based on what the evening cost. However, it was very difficult to hold a conversation with our friends at our table due to the incredibly level of noise in the restaurant. What's more, we had to keep asking our waitress to repeat what she was saying. Admittedly a Saturday evening, but a few soft furnishings would help reduce the overall level of noise considerably. For this reason (noise level) we won't visit Côte Brasserie again.

Excellent venue, lovely French cuisine, we had a very pleasant annersersary lunch, the staff are very attentive even if not actually French !! I would still recomend

Our favourite place to eat in Cheltenham whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The food is always delicious and great value and the staff are friendly, helpful and professional. The early bird deal is one of the best around.

Good atmosphere. Parking can be difficult. Langoustine tails starter disappointing, six very small breaded shapes, lacking in flavour. Steak was good. Staff friendly and efficient.

Service a little slow, but they were very busy....so all forgiven. Always great food, consistently good. I had haddock with lentils which was excellent. Recommend Cotes Cheltenham.

We had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent - the most I have enjoyed a restaurant meal for a long time. The staff were attentive and good humoured. Our waiter even tried to teach us some Hungarian. Will be back soon.

Great breakfast with varied menu and all well prepared. Staff was attentive and courteous. Nice atmosphere with a background noise level that permitted casual conversation. We weren't hurried out the door and were able to have an extended visit with friends.

We went to Cote to celebrate my husband's 75th birthday, and we were not disappointed. Very busy but meal was lovely nice atmosphere and very attentive staff. Will definetly go there again

One of our favourite restaurants, with an excellent menu which is changed every month. The food is very good, served by friendly and efficient staff.

My food (Breakfast - sausage, eggs, mushrooms) were all cold when served. Strawberry jam on the table had mould on the top. My son's order came out wrong "twice" and had to go back. Very disappointing as eaten there often before in the evening without complaint.

This was a really enjoyable meal taken to celebrate my birthday Free Kir Royals made for a good start. Excellent service and a good atmosphere.

For a relaxed meal without any pretension but with VERY acceptable cuisine, Cote is a good value good choice. The wines are modest price good quality, so one comes away thinking, yes, we'll go there again!

Service was excellent. Unfortunately one of the main courses was underdone. The staff were very apologetic and a new course was cooked quickly but too late for the other person to eat at the same time. We were not charged for the one course. We would go back though.

The food was delicious and it arrived very quickly. The service was very good although I do object to the service charge being added to the bill. We were only a party of four!

Had to stand and wait for our pre booked table for 10 minutes . Once sat down good was great. Service could have been quicker.

Nicely placed table, excellent service, very good choice on the menus (main and specials), everyone enjoyed their choice of food and just enough time between courses to choose and talk. We will be returning soon.

It was up to it's normal good/high standard, our bottle water was replenish without being ask, the food was piping hot although I did have to ask twice for my strawberry jam but it wont stop me going back!

Lively venue for our 44th wedding anniversary with each of the three courses providing first class ingredients, well prepared and cooked. Excellent meal and service. Happy days.

As always excellent service. Meal this time was ok, usually it's excellent. My sea bream was over cooked, but the rest of the meal was ok
