Côte Cheltenham

My partner Amanda and I enjoyed a truly lovely meal this evening (Sunday).We ate from the 10th anniversary menu.Each course was superb and the complimentary glass of champagne was a lovely touch.The staff were very attentive and very professional in all they did and we would like to thank them for making a really enjoyable evening for us. Food delicious and service excellent. Restaurant was very noisy with no soft furnishings to soften the sounds. The extra charges for small portions of chipped potatoes and green beans was annoying, however the overall value was very good.

Excellent value for money, and good range of choices on the early bird menu. A little noisy when busy, but nice decor and good service,

As usual excellent breakfast. We were the first customers on Sunday morning so service great at first. Then place was deluged with people and we had to wait quite a while to get anther drink. But staff always friendly here.

A good choice of menu served promptly and offering excellent. Quiet on day of visit which added to the enjoyment but restaurant can become too noisy when full.

Great food and wines. Consistently good. Excellent and pleasant service. We had to ask for our complimentary kir royale, and then the computer had to be checked. This should have been done without us asking..Apart from this small thing, it was a lovely evening.

As consistent as ever with one exception this time. At least one of four main courses came to the table lukewarm. Our issue because we didn't send it back but will watch more closely next time.

It was our first visit today. The food was delicious and the service was excellent-friendly and efficient. Lovely atmosphere. We will definitely go there again.

Arrived at the restaurant at 2pm we waited a long time for our starter and even longer for our main ,an hour altogether ,I could understand the waiting time but there was less than 20 people in the place at the time of arrival and less by the time we left ,dissapointed with the service . Our meals were ok ,pork belly was dry but the accompaniments were fine ,the children's fish and chips were very nice .........not sure what's happened to the speed of service in this restaurant but it needs addressing as people have to pay for parking even on a Sunday .

Sadly the service was terrible last night. There was a large party of 20 that arrived an hour after our arrival which then caused the staff to forget our main course. After a reminder it came within 5 minutes but the steak was rare rather than medium. We were given free drinks and one pudding but sadly this did not make up for a very unpleasant night out.

We had breakfast which was really tasty and well cooked and served Also the staff were really pleasant and attentive as is always the case and we will definitely be going again.

The seating in this restaurant is odd. 50% of the seats have their backs to the room! Visually unattractive. Why not try angling a number of seats so both patrons have a view into the room? To make matters worse, my partner and I were seated in a back room on our own. We were promised we wouldn't be forgotten but we were. Not so much a room, more an oubliette. Fortunately I find the food memorable and moreish so I will try to overlook the regimented seating.

We were very impressed with our meals. Looking forward to our next visit. Great service. Best Nicoise salad I've ever had. Next time I'm trying dessert. 😁

Excellent meal and service, couldn't fault it! Decided on cote as we had a visiting four days and wanted a good atmosphere and were delighted

A power cut meant we did not have a meal at all BUT the Cote Manager and staff handled the situation superbly and we enjoyed a complimentary wine and went home!

First visit to Cote Cheltenham. Good food. Wine reasonably priced too. Place was packed on arrival, good job we had booked. Friendly service, what's not to like?

Yet another very good meal at Cote. My fish and my husbands veal were both cooked to perfection and all served by a very helpful waitress. Thankyou 😊

food and staff excellent. Noise level in the restaurant is so loud it is enough to make us look for another restaurant -that is a pity because we enjoy visiting Cote Brasserie.

Lovely lunch, had the three course specials. Lovely lunch, and service. Up two flights for the loo, but there is a disabled one on ground floor.

First visit to Cote Cheltenham, have previously been to Cirencester which was great. Unfortunately we were disappointed- it was very very busy, it felt like the staff had not anticipated the onslaught. Services was slow, starter (the bread with caramelised onions) was dry and cold, main course (steak & fries) was good. We were planning to have desert but gave up waiting for a waiter to come and take our order. Could have easily walked out without paying, had to physically go and pay at the entrance. We did complain and they did not charge us for the starter. Just a shame really, the Cirencester restaurant was much better.

Once again i enjoyed a first class set lunchtime menu in Cheltenham the only minus was no papers were available and the peach crumble were not available.

Lovely relaxing atmosphere. Friendly waiting staff. Very tasty and varied menu. Enjoyed all three courses from the set menu. Can highly recommend. Will go again.

The restaurant in Cheltenham has an excellent range of menu choices and the staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was very well presented.

This restaurant never fails to provide excellent food, service and good value. The atmosphere is fabulous, really buzzy and the staff a real delight. Don't know how we managed without it....

Food was perfect, staff friendly and helpful. It is a very busy restaurant but quietens after 9ish Good value and a nice varied menu would certainly use again when in the area.

We had dinner here on three successive nights and thoroughly enjoyed each one. Excellent food and drink at really good prices, attentive service and a great atmosphere.

Food and service were excellent; my only complaint would be the restaurant is very noisy due to the lack of soft furnishings, making it difficult for a table of two to have a comfortable conversation without shouting. Could something be done to address the acoustics of the restaurant?

Quiet a relaxing atmosphere with a lovely ambience especially during the week. It's good when they remind you of your forth coming birthday Reasonable prices - except there is 'a not so voluntary' service charge of 12%

All good except the white wine that was not properly chilled. Had supposedly "been in the frig overnight". If so the frig needs looking at.

Food and service were very good, but the table was in a very noisy area, near the plate clearing area. There was a lot of to-ing & fro-ing and clattering of china etc. Other visits on different tables have been better.

Nice food and friendly service. The bill was slow in arriving which was a bit of a pain but all in all a good experience.

Service poor. Main course dirty plates left on our table for about half an hour after eating completed. Fish ( Hake) not good, and bordering on "off". My companion found eating a half melon difficult as n o spoon provided and the melon was not cut well in it's skin so extracting it was a problem. Either it needs to be removed from it's skin in the kitchen or spoon provided.

Used this place before and always pleased with the food, service and downstairs atmosphere. First time for Early Evening Menu, good value, quality and prompt service for a quick turn around.

The service was efficient and polite, and I enjoyed the goats cheese salad. The ambiance of the restaurant was good and the decor good. My friend and I had a very pleasant lunch.

Very efficient and friendly service. No waiting times as everything appeared shortly after ordering (although this was on a Thursday and the restaurant was still heaving - have only been on weekends before and although really busy the service was excellent). Lovely food and a really good choice on the menu. Highly recommended

The whole experience was excellent. The ambience of the restaurant is very relaxed and the layout of the restaurant gives a feeling of space - the tables are not crowded together. The menu was quite extensive and the food itself first class. The service was attentive without being overbearing.

We enjoyed the evening: staff were very welcoming and attentive, though the waiting staff were proecedural (and smiling) but with very little humour. (Perhaps that is a cultural issue, where there was good communication, but evidently lost in translation. The bill was as expected, but I do think adding a service charge onto the bill is presumptuous; why not let the customer decide? I will was willing to pay the gratuity, but please do not force the customers' hand! We had the god fortune to eat in your Brighton restaurant last week; tonight in Cheltenham, the food on the whole was better.

Great staff friendly and helpful, The food was lovely and they were willing to make a few changes to the dish as I am a bit fussy. Well worth a visit if in this area.

I went, with two friends, to Côte, Cheltenham for their 3 course lunch today. It was really excellent. Charentais melon (nearly a whole one) with olive oil and sea salt, juicy and sweet savoury. Perfectly cooked Pan roasted hake on a bed of Provençal chickpeas was a full of flavour and brought back memories of Provençal holidays. Followed by their peerless crême caramel. Yum yum. Terrific value. Smiling service. Well done again, Côte.

Lovely staff, very friendly and helpful. Our party's meals were satisfactory apart from the salads unfortunately. Rough off cuts of lettuce and no dressing. Not to the same standard as other meals.

Cote is always good. We go to it in every town we visit. Just wish we had it in Australia, good food, great service.. always.excellent.
