Good choice of food on the menu, with good variety on the set lunch menu; food was tasty and appealing to look at. A nice ambience in the restaurant, excellent service. Great place!
As usual the service and food was very good. Cotes always has a nice atmosphere and is a relaxed and enjoyable experience. We will definitely visit again.
Always a great atmosphere and somewhere you are able to relax. Food is excellent and the staff are friendly. I live in Montpelier so win-win restaurant for me
Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff, lovely food.....as always. Even though the restaurant was busy, the standard of service and quality of the food did not disappoint.
The food was quite good and the service reasonably efficient. We booked to eat pre-theatre at 6.30 pm. My slight disappointment was the mushroom crepe: not very French being swamped with sauce - it tasted very good but didn't look very appetising.
Excellent food and service despite it being during the Literature Festival in Cheltenham The manager was calm and friendly and the complimentary wine very pleasant. I thoroughly recommend Cote in Cheltenham
As always at Cote, wherever, we had a very good time. Excellent menu, atmosphere, service. It is the favourite restaurant of the friends I was entertaining.
Great atmosphere,in the restaurant staff very friendly and attentive to service ,food as always excellent ,a very pleasant experience Every time we go to a cote restaurant we are never disappointed
As always the atmosphere was wonderful , could not fault the fabulous food. The service was superb, brilliantly efficient and friendly but inabtrusive so we could all reminisce to our hearts content. You never feel rushed but relaxed and fulfilled.
Having eaten Brasserie Blanc's Confit Duck and Cafe Creme dessert last week, Cote's Roast Duck and Pain Perdue (Bread and Butter pud) were decidedly ordinary. Both tasted ok though and the service was lovely.
lovely food and great service as always! Our waiter was very polite and helpful and we all had food that we enjoyed. The free bottle of wine on promotion was a bonus!
Excellent food, wine and service . The lamb with fennel and mash was gorgeousness ! It is always a pleasure to eat at Cote Cheltenham 😀😀
A lovely meal - quick and efficient service and a great selection of dishes on the menu. Cote never fails to deliver on its food and today was no exception.
Rib eye steak dry and inedible. Half the steak was a lump of gristle. Offered a free pudding but unfortunately the evening was ruined. Disappointing.
good food, just the right quantity and the service was friendly. Reasonably priced wine. will certainly continue to go to Cote as always consistent and reliable
Wonderfully cooked breakfasts. Booked table for four - service and food was amazing! Great quality ingredients & lovely place to have breakfast with friends before heading to the literature festival. Great food & location
Good value, surroundings and service. Drinks were a reasonable price too, so didn't mind too much about the 12.5% service charge. Will certainly go again, and soon.
Excellent food, good service but far too noisy! We enjoyed the fish pie and pork belly very much - first lot of green beans brought were very overlooked but they were replaced and taken off the bill , which was appreciated.
it was pleasant evening and the food was fantastic. it was busy night but the staff was attentive and quick serving, we will be back again.
We had the 2 course lunch- good food and excellent value. Service friendly and efficient. This is my 4th visit and I will definitely return.
Friendly brasserie style restaurant. Efficient staff made sure we were served promptly as we were attending an event at the Literary Festival. Reliable menu plus specials. One of the few restaurants in Cheltenham which wee open on a Sunday evening.
The meal was excellent as always and we were served by your very helpful, polite and efficient staff. Fine cuisine and enjoyable wine. Good value
Excellent service and amazing food. Waiter that looked after us was extremely helpful with everything we planned. Was for a 25th birthday and was very impressed!
In a bit of a rush at the end and couldn't find anyone to get us a bill. When we did, we paid, plus a tip - on top of the 12.5% we were already charged. The free bottle of wine we were promised was added to the bill. Realising what had happened , we had to go back to get the wine refunded. No apology.
Slow service and average food unfortunately. We were left for a long time before our order was taken and then it took a very long time for our plates to be cleared after each course. Again a very long wait for the bill to arrive.
We go to Cotes a lot and always have a great meal. On our last visit I was disappointed with the fillet steak. It wasn't very tasty and although I asked for medium rare it more medium. I chose not to have a sauce with it. I would probably not have steak there again but will stick with the other choices on the main menu.
Lovely delicious food piping hot, fellow diner decided she was too hot and so the air conditioning was put on ....sadly our food quickly became cold. Maybe less AC...
The food was delicious and the service very friendly. There is a good selection on the menu with a specials selection too. I'm looking forward to returning soon.
Very easy to book. Plenty of choice for pescatarians like ourselves. Great food and excellent service in a very nice setting. Will definitely visit Cote Brasserie in Cheltenham again.
Having previously enjoyed an excellent meal at the Cote Cirencester we booked a date at the Cote Cheltenham after the Cinema. The standard just as good, the Breton Fish Stew is just memorable. All the staff that we met were excellent, please assure them all that we really appreciate them improving hospitality standards in the UK and they are all most welcome to stay and settle amongst us.
We enjoyed the good value food as usual. I had been offered a free bottle of wine online, but because I had not booked via the offer page but separately, the management refused to honour the offer. I think that this was a mistake in customer relations, and as a result I declined to pay the service charge. I think it is a pity that the staff should suffer from the small-mindedness of the management.
The food was very nice, however we had to ask the waiter to take our main course order after we had finished our starter, and one of our desserts was completely forgotten and we had to wait another 10 minutes for it to arrive.
We all had a lovely meal, food was good, service very friendly :). They also managed to squeeze us in as it was busy with the Cheltenham literature festival.
The food is consistently good. the staff were friendly and efficient. The restaurant was busy and there was a good atmosphere. It is always just what you feel like. Plenty of choice.
My local Cote is a godsend. Always good. lovely staff. Gets a bit too noisy on a Friday evening - but it just shows how popular it is.
Great value for money, lovely food and ambiance. The set menu had plenty of choice for me and my friend, the duck pate and crème caramel particularly good
We went for an early evening meal on a Friday and had lovely French food with attentive service. Our only criticism was that the two mains we had (and I think it applied to most of them) had absolutely no potatoes or veg with them (when we asked the waitress what came with the mains, she said 'absolutely nothing!). We ordered side dishes separately, which added considerably to the price, of course. I can't imagine anyone eating a whole sole or veal escalope by themselves, so I think it would be better to price including a side order.
October set menu was great, I enjoyed the fishcake which was delicious, my friend had the chicken breast which she also enjoyed. I have been 3 times recently and it never fails to disappoint, great food, great value for money and good service.
Food was good just slow service on a v busy Monday night dining after the early bird rush . Service charge added automatically for two people !
Good food, good service. Early evening set price meal is good value. Been here a few times now and really enjoy it. What's not to like
For 6:30pm on a Monday evening, Cote was buzzing. Went for business meeting as Cote has always been consistently good. And again we had really good service and the food was superb.
Great food as always, and quick, friendly service, in a relaxing environment. This is our first choice for a meal out in Cheltenham, because we have never left disappointed.
Food was excellent and very attentive and efficient service. Steak was particularly good.Enjoyed my visit and not been there before. Lively atmosphere. Minus point.(Toilets up a steep set of stairs!)
Good menu choice, nice decor and pricing are the positives. Staff mean well and offer good service, but too little of them to customer ratio meaning service is slow. The place becomes very noisy when full due to the acoustics this decor is good until the place gets full. I would come back again but at a quitter period.
It was good, but disappointed that the lunch menu was not offered on Saturday, makimg it much more expensive than anticipated. Staff were a bit overextended
Service and food were good. I am all for romantic lighting, but it is too dark in the restaurant in the evening. Please lighten up,
Very nice food. It was a bit noisy in there, but it was Saturday evening. I don't like the fact that they automatically add a 12.5% tip to your bill when the norm in this country is 10%, and they make it hard for you to adjust it. I would have preferred to give a bit under 10% as the service was ok but not great, but I didn't want to get into a debate in front of my mum, as it was her birthday treat, so I just kept quiet and paid it.
Cheerful helpful waiting staff and excellently cooked French food. In a seat over looking the wonderful gardens of Montpellier, what could be better! . .
Could not fault this place in anyway. From the moment we entered the restaurant until we left we were made to feel so welcome. The food was excellent as was the ambiance. They were very busy but we did not have to wait too long and the young girl who served us was very pleasant as were all of the staff, and they all actually looked as if they enjoyed working there. Can't wait to go again !
As always, a very enjoyable evening, great service? Excellent food plus a complimentry bottle of wine. The only criticism I have is the noise, soft furnishings needed!!
