Côte Cheltenham

The Golden Beetroot starter was a little disappointing as rather chewy. The sardines were very nice. The bream could have included a vegetable in the set meal rather than that being an add-on. I broke a tooth on the toast with the baked camembert, which rather spoilt my meal! The mint tea was delicious.

We had to send our main courses ba k because they arrived colder than they should have bee. Dealt with fabulously. Re cooked piping hot and took both of our bill. These things happen but excellent turn around.

As reliably good as ever. Good value breakfast. Well staffed.

Service was friendly. Food was tasty, value for money as the set menu can't be faulted.

It was a lovely meal overall, the staff were friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. We picked an ideal time to go for a meal, it was relatively peaceful and we were able to enjoy a quiet atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I have only knocked one star off the service as at the end of the meal we had to ask for the bill twice before we were eventually presented with it.

A well priced good value meal, nice restraint and pleasant and efficient waiting staff. We visit on a regular basis and are never disappointed.

Sunday evening, very nice reserved table for 2 in the corner downstairs. Polite attentive service and good food. A bit on the expensive side but nice to splash out in a decent restaurant. Will definitely go again.

Celebrating our sons 10th birthday at his choice of restaurant. His sirloin steak cut was a little fatty and had sinew. No nice medallion of prime steak which he loves. Our half chickens were very nice. He shared some and surrendered some steak so not to waste. Overall meal was excellent. A shame not to have a nice draught French beer on tap.

Excellent service and very tasty fare. Pleasant décor and ambiance. Would recommend for a pleasant evening meal.

We often visit Cote before going to the theatre and the food is always good but this time it was even better. Thank you Cote and keep up the good work. PPPS The mussels were particularly good although you should automatically serve bread with them. PPPPS I suppose I should stop now.

The best place to eat in Cheltenham. Good value for your money, excellent food, wonderful selection of dishes and the staff, simply GREAT.

One starter was very over salted, to the point where my husband didn't actually finish it (mussels) and the pork belly we had was very, very disappointing. The top was so under done, it was like jelly - no crisp top it at all. The servers were helpful and pleasant when we asked to send the mains back, after a ten minute wait, new ones were presented which were only marginally better. By this point we need to get our children home to bed, so we just ate and didn't complain again. The wait between courses was quite lengthy, we were there for 1.5 hours for only two courses where we ordered almost immediately as we all knew what we wanted. We have had these dishes numerous times before, so we knew what to expect, sadly it wasn't what we got. This was a disappointing visit and not up to the standard we have come to expect from Cote.

Perfect setting for an informal family gathering. Good food and relaxed brasserie atmosphere. Nice touch to provide Pampelle aperitif with the A la carte menu - made the meal that bit more special.

Another enjoyable lunch in Cheltenham though my lamb shank was a bit too salty for my preference. The veg was fine as were the starters and the service efficient taking into account the number of people present which was the only minus as the noise level gets too high. Suggest carpet on the floor and a material to line the walls to soak up the sound.

We had an impromptu stay in Cheltenham and ended up at Cote after a recommendation.. We hadn’t heard of the chain before and we were pleasantly surprised. Matt, who was covering as manager from Birmingham, made us very welcome and enthusiastically promoted the restaurant brand. The food was excellent and staff were attentive. Most enjoyable, thank you

Calamari was very nice ,it had only been cleared about a minute when the main course was put down ,sea trout over cooked no great beans or spring onions just peas ,new potatoes some were ok but most were hard ,nobody asked if it was ok during or when we had finished,disappointing as it was to celebrate my partners birthday.

In spite being delayed and having to rebook for a later time we were made very welcome. I never give full marks for food in case you excel yourself the next time.

Lovely food, good atmosphere, all very pleasant. We enjoyed the evening.

If the restaurant is full on a Monday evening, what does that tell you. The staff, the choice of food and the food itself were all absolutely superb. Faultless. My wife and I both had the three course set menu, what an inspired choice, each course was exceptional, large portions, tasty, well presented dishes. The setting, ambience, atmosphere were all exactly what we expected. If you visit Cheltenham, then Cote Brassiere is definitely worth a visit

Despite there being a problem with the gas which limited the menu we had a delicious meal, very much appreciated the refreshing complimentary spritzer, and found the staff charming and helpful as usual. Thank you!
