Côte Cheltenham

The food was good and the menu varied and it was value for money.

We are regulars at Cotes in cheltenham, but the last visit was the best. The food is always of a good standard, but this was exceptionally good. We like Cotes because you can rely on the food and the service is very quick and efficient which is important when you have two young children. The waiters and waitresses are all very helpful, professional and very good with the children wanting variations from the menu. The only very slight negative is that because the decor has few soft furnishings the acoustics are a bit harsh and the restaurant can be loud. This is only really an issue if we have my elderly father with us who finds it hard to hear. Otherwise - faultless. For the cost, which I would consider average / mid range, I think Cotes offers excellent value.

Steak frite dissapointing. Staff replaced our order but still below par. Its the quality of the product not the cooking.

Excellent, good service, great food and good value for breakfast. Only suggestion is, 2 of our party were vegans and it would be nice if Cotes could offer a vegan breakfast option.

The second visit this week and the food was first class on the Prestige menu both times. We had the same waiter too (Chris Marszale) and he was superbly helpful and friendly. Excellent and recommended.

Excellent experience as is usual with all Cotes Brasseries. We were visiting from Hampshire and we make a point of visiting Cotes when we can. A somewhat busy day today for you and kitchen obviously under pressure but food brilliant when it arrived.

The host was a bit abrupt and lacked care. He showed us the table and threw the menus down and walked away. Not a great welcome or start, however the Food was great and the waitress was very friendly and attentive.

The waiter was wonderful - he was attentive without being over the top. He was very thoughtful and tried to help when some of the dishes on the menu were not available. Without being prompted he brought out a celebratory fish with candle to sing happy birthday to one of the party. He made it an even better experience. The food as always was lovely. Nicely presented. Would definitely go again.

First visit in about 4 weeks which is unlike me. Food was fabulous as always and I was really pleased that the chicken live parfait was on the cheaper menu, delicious. Service was not as good as normal, new waiter, he took my friend's plate as she was still chewing her last mouthful which was a little off putting. I will still return though.

Staff need to keep an eye on the door. Two (or three) folk caem/went for whom the door had to be held open, and guests rushed to help. In one case, the door was left wedged open which was a bit drafty. Food was fine, poached eggs perhas a tad underdone (too much runny white). Quality good too. Service fine. My friend aid but I felt it was good value.

As ever the food and service were excellent. I would have given 5 stars if it were not for the noise level which makes it difficult to have a conversation. I realise this is not the fault of the restaurant, just inconsiderate large parties.

Usual attentive service, with good food ,well cooked representing good value for money. Still do not like the 12.5 % service charge, albeit optional !!

Had an early pre-theatre dinner here on a Friday evening. Had the Prestige set menu - good quality food and excellent service. Overall, very good value for money.

Service was excellent; I never felt overlooked. A nice touch, advising on likely interval between being seated and order taken. Food quantity just right: as the prices seemed so reasonable I was braced for mini portions, but they were ample. My only quibble was that the sauce was a touch too salty. I prefer savoury dishes left unseasoned. Definitely worth another visit.

A very busy restaurant - seated in a corner! Pissaladiere and creme caramel excellent. Not certain that the vegetable accompanying the hake was supposed to be burnt!
