Côte Cheltenham

All very nice, well-prepared and presented food, and the complementary cocktail was great. The wifi was not working properly. The menu is not clear that the ice cream flavours are a choice (unlike the cheeses, where you get the lot).

Good food, good service. Very accommodating with 4 children in our party.

The whole experience when you dine at Cote Brassiere in Cheltenham is just fabulous. The staff are friendly, attentive and professional. The food is exceptional and the ambience is just great.. Thank you Cote.. We will be back soon..

In general most the food was ok but my son ordered sausage and mash, the mash and french beans were stone cold and I mean stone cold served on a cold plate but the sausages were very hot. When we told the waitress she touch the mash with her fingers a couple of times, agreed with us and said I’ll be back in a minute. Sure enough she was with the same plate of food that she had just stuck her fingers in which was obviously just blasted In a microwave. French onion soup was good but we had to ask for a spoon and it was the wrong spoon. Extra drinks service was very slow and we had to ask 3 times to get a second drink. Apart from that all good. 3 adults 2 kids £165.00 spent. Will come back but hope for improvement next time.

The food and service were excellent however it wasn’t clear from the start that if you took up the offer of the free bottle of wine that you had to eat from the main menu and not the reduced price set menus. Why do that anyway? It seems somewhat mealymouthed. It left a slightly bitter after taste.

Whichever waitress happened to be passing served us, but overall we felt neglected. There was no one person checking in and we felt forgotten. At one point our food was brought out on a tray and plonked down on the side with the waiter being told to do something else by the manager leaving our food going cold in the middle of the restaurant. The table of 4 beside us were served their drinks and starters first, despite arriving 5/10 minutes after us, and we had ordered ours first. It’s little things but the overall ambiance wasn’t the same as the Worcester or Birmingham branch. Staff were smiley and friendly but just didn’t get the warm, welcoming vibe we normally do, or the slick service. Sorry cheltenham we won’t be returning!

Very enable lunch from set menu. Only criticism would be the grilled sardines. The anticipation was grilled whole fish the reality was 4 tiny fillets with leaves and dressing. The service as ever was prompt and friendly without being obtrusive.

As usual we enjoyed a faultless meal at Cote Cheltenham. Slightly irritated that the free bottle of wine when ordering 2 mains from the à la carte menu offer didn’t stretch to two bottles when ordering 4 mains for the four of us! We were told it was limited to one per table. Maybe we should have sat at separate tables!

Overall a lovely evening, good atmosphere and great food. Mixed service, one very good, the other didn’t seem to understand that a smile makes all the difference.

Arrived on time at Cote , table was ready for us and was escorted to it and given menus. The food we ordered was very enjoyable and presented very well , we also had the complimentary bottle of wine , the waiting staff were very good and made the occasion very enjoyable and we left very contented and happy . Always love visiting Cote. The reason I didn’t give full marks is: An extra drink was accidentally added to the bill which had to be deleted. The side suggested to go with my husbands Sea Bass didn’t seem appropriate- (new potatoes). green veg would have complemented it more.( we wouldn’t have realised until the mains arrived). The same as all restaurants- there seems to be a push to get us to order bread/olives etc. If Cote was in France, they would be free on the table anyway.

My wife , son, daughter in law and I enjoyed a perfect breakfast which set us all up well to face the day .

Love this restaurant. The food is consistently delicious and beautifully presented, and the staff are always cheerful and competent and lovely. It's a very elegant dining-room and they manage to keep the noise levels pleasantly low, so that conversation is easy. I wouldn't change a thing.

Should be 5.5 really. Could hardly be better. Noise is always a slight problem.

Lovely friendly staff. Warm ambience, great food, at a reasonable price.

Nice experience however my king prawn starter was over cooked and didn’t taste fresh. Also the mushroom risotto had a lot of flavour but the texture was mushy, over cooked and had the consistency of porridge. Would recommend the fillet steak and the pork loin

It was easy to book on line and we were able to request a table for four in a quiet part of the restaurant. We were welcomed by delightful staff ( all were very pleasant and we were happy to pay the 12.5% service charge), and shown to a perfect table. Lots of choice from the menu, all delicious and beautifully presented. It was a very enjoyable experience and we will definitely come back again. We have been quite a few times but today seemed particularly good. Thank you very much!

Enjoyable lunch! As always, the food was good and the service attentive and accurate! As our booking was late at 1:30 pm, the restaurant started emptying out and we had a quiet time to chat.

From the initial booking over the phone to our meal and service on the day we had 5 star service!! Everyone was so helpful especially as we had wheel chairs and also a big and continuous bill to sort. The waitresses were so lovely and patient. Just perfect, thank you so much. We had an amazing family meal and get together!

We were generally happy with our food but: 1) the Roquefort & walnut salad was a little skimpy 2) the bread served with the parfait was rather thick 3) side dishes were extra for 3 of our plates 4) we would prefer the bill to be offered minus the optional gratuity (although I know it is made clear on the bill). We normally leave a tip which should be at one’s discretion.

We ate from the a la carte menu & chose one of the January specials as a main course. As a regular diner at Cote the standard menu doesn't change that frequently so it was good to have some new dishes to choose from. The cod was delicious and the portion size was great as sometimes fish can be a tiny slither in some restaurants, but this was pretty generous & good value. The service was good and the only down side was that we found the acoustics in the restaurant rather noisy to the extent that we found it quite difficult to hold a conversation over the noise.

Very pleasant ambiance and courteous staff made for a very nice experience.
