Côte Cheltenham

Good service, lovely food. We have been to Cote Brasseries several times before, but were introducing it to our friends who say they will certainly return.

Although they had an issue with their booking system going down. On one of their busiest days they appeared to cope extremely well and we were offered adequate compensation for the problems. The food was excellent as always as was the service. Would recommend.

I booked this lunch today for my wife's birthday, we happen to use this restaurant on a fairly regular basis and again we were pleased with the level of service and the quality and presentation of the food. Well done to Richard and his team.

Buzzy atmosphere. You get very good food with lots of choice and very reasonably priced. Fast and efficient service and the early bird set menu is very good value for money

Efficient staff - not too interfering, getting the balance right. Food is consistent irrespective of which Cote you use , and of a good quality.

Good location, lovely view from top window. Nice staff, good food. Good value. Don't like service charge being put on bill, would give tip anyway

The table allocated was up a steep flight of stairs which proved difficult for two in the party. The service was slick but a large group came in and the noise levels were so high that we could not converse. The waitress was not helpful but a second member of staff did offer to move us. We finished out main courses and moved to the lower floor for dessert and coffee. We did not like the suggested gratuity being added on to the bill. They forgot to add in the coffees so we paid enough to cover all we had had but did not leave a tip. I will not be returning in the near future as the discomfort of the building outweighs the good food.

.no benefit to us to have free wine. There were 4 of us having set menu at lunchtime so free bottle not allowed we were looking forward to it!

Superb food and wine in great surroundings, fantastic service well recommended and the French onion soup was the best i've ever tasted ! Can't wait to go again !

Food was good as always but, although our starter arrived in good time, we then waited a very, very long time for our main course. Our waitress chased it up but staff then arrived with someone else's order and we waited a further time for our meals. Although they were busy, it was Cheltenham Jazz Festival, other people were getting their meals served much quicker. As it was we had to forego our dessert to get to the concert in time. Disappointing. However the plus side was that we were not charged for my meal and my husband had a complimentary glass of wine. Overall I felt they responded positively but I know my husband will be reluctant to go back soon unfortunately.

Excellent meal and attentive service as ever. The boudin noir starter was particularly good. I would certainly have that again. My only problem was with the new online booking system. I had to phone the restaurant to check that my booking had been received as I didn't receive an email confirmation.

The meal was very good but the restaurant was too busy. The service throughout was slow with a long wait even to order our first drinks on arrival. Having been to cote many times, it seems they are booking in more people they can comfortably cater for.

Excellent food, attentive and friendly service. We requested a quiet (if possible) table because two of our guests were elderly and hard of hearing and this was accommodated as far as was possible for the restaurant. Very impressed.

We came for a champagne breakfast on Mothering Sunday.We found it tremendous value for money,as we always do at Cote in Cheltenham.The staff are very professional,always attentive and amiable.We will see you very soon. Thank you once again. Tom Madden

Service very slow, and added 12.5 per cent to bill for service! Food very good when it arrived though. Usual standard and as expected. May have been a one off but need more staff to provide adequate service.

Great food and good service but the very small table in what felt like a corridor lost it a point. Have been before and would definitely return. Exceptional salad!

We have been several times and have not been able to fault anything, what a joy to have such a reliable dining venue. We look forward to our next visit.

Poor service - very long wait for a table that had been booked. Generally the food was not great, my blue steak had to be returned as it was well done. However, it's a nice place. We went on Mothers Day and I felt they over booked and as a result the experience was compromised

As always the food was delicious, the service excellent. The menu changes frequently enough for there always to be something new to try. A great Birthday lunch.

Friendly, efficient service and the cooked breakfasts that we each had were excellent: cooked exactly as requested. The apple juice was lovely. Not too sweet, not too sharp and really tasted of apples.

Friendly staff, good food and good service. Like that you don't have to ask for tap water, automatically delivered to your table. Nice atmosphere, buzzy but not too noisy

Great food...excellent service.Early dinner before concert at Cheltenham Jazz Festival. Will certainly return to Cheltenham and more Cote restaurants. Looking forward to the new opening in Gloucester

First time visiting the Cheltenham Cote and love the building to start with. The restaurant was very busy but we didn't have to wait for our table. Menu choice always good and waiters very prompt with drinks and service throughout. A very enjoyable evening and will return again.

Great food, great service. booked on impulse at last minute, and very pleased. The French onion soup and haddock were outstanding. Two Gluten free people well catered for. Excellent. Will go again.

It's a fun bustling environment with food and staff who do their best to make you feel good. The dishes are well thought out, tasty, cleverly presented and well portioned so the "offers" actually probably still carry a healthy margin. When busy, which it nearly always is because of its proposition, it's understaffed so be prepared to keep attracting the attention you need.

Excellent food, with friendly, efficient and unobtrusive service. Comfortable surroundings, busy with a nice buzz about the place but not cramped. We ate at 10pm and weren't made to feel hurried. We'll definitely be going back.

Our first visit to Cote Brasserie, Cheltenham and certainly won't be our last! The service was very good, staff were attentive without being too intrusive. there were no long delays between ordering and the food being served also pace between courses was good. We all liked the choose on the menu and felt the variety offered would ensure a return visit in the very near future. Many thanks we had a very enjoable evening.

Everyone is so sociable and friendly. Our waiter a delight. Its a regular trip and it never lets us down. Thank you for my Birthday Kia. Love our regular table upstairs by the window looking over the town.

The restaurant was clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly, providing good service. My partner is celiac and again the staff were knowledgeable and helpful and anxious to accommodate him. And of course, just as importantly - the food was truly excellent!

Service was polite but very slow, the restaurant was not busy and there seemed to be plenty of staff but we waited 10/15 mins to have plates cleared after both starter and main. Lovely starters, French onion soup and calamari very good. Underwhelming mains, warm goats cheese salad was mostly lettuce, tiny salmon fish cakes. Lovely deserts, chocolate fondant rich and oozy, lemon tarte zingy and fresh. Just the rather slow service that let the experience down. Would return I think.

Enjoyable all round. Good Welcome and service and the food was excellent. The fillet steak was especially good - perfectly cooked - melt in the mouth.

Very nice food, although didn't like the fact that they automatically added a 12.5 percent service charge to our bill, only a table of four, although I guess that's the way they work - other than that all was very good.

Great food and atmosphere. Very busy Sunday lunch, insufficient waiting staff. Highly recommend this establishment in a great location in Cheltenham. They also have tables outside.
