Great dinner here on a busy Saturday evening. Food and wine were lovely and a great choice of gluten free options. Service was quick and efficient. Bustling atmosphere.
Nice food good service. Found the portions sizes for the veg a little small and it was quite noisy but it was a Saturday night. However that said I would go again.
My reservation was for 18.45 on Friday and the restaurant was pretty busy but nevertheless, my guests and I received prompt and excellent service. The waitress who served us was very polite really attentive. The food was also delicious. I've been to Cotes Cheltenham several times and the quality of the service and food has never disappointed me.
Excellent value for money! The service was brilliant. We sat outside as the day was warm enough. We really enjoyed it. Definetely going back there.
The food was original, exquisitely prepared and plentiful! The service couldn't be faulted. I've been to a number of top end restaurants in Cheltenham and this is the best. You get more than you pay for in my opinion! It beats some other, more exclusive Promenade restaurants, hands down!! This was my second visit...I'll be back!!
Lovely staff and meals good. Only dish I did not like was Savoy cabbage with lots of irritating bits in it! Very nice restaurant! Loos ok but a bit dark
The starters on early bird menu were not great! Asparagus very stringy and Brie on flat bread not liked much by friends. I think main courses ok
As regular diners at Cote, we were disappointed with the slow service we received last night, including two of six meals arriving ten minutes behind the others. This is a first but I strongly feel it needs to be fed back. Hopefully the good service we are used to will return on our next visit.
Good food at not too expenive prices. The restaurant has a good lively atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The fixed price menu looked reasonably priced and varied.
Very good food and the staff made us most welcome also we were experiencing this restaurant for the first time? Both my wife and our two guests will be returning again.
Great food and service. Definitely worthy of their prices. The atmosphere was appropriate too. Their wine selection is simply outstanding and they also have an offer from Sunday to Thursday.
Easy reservation. Attentive service. Excellent food overall with a tasty vinaigrette dressing on plentiful asparagus. Chargrilled chicken tasted of BBQ with tender dauphinois potatoes. The crême brûlée is always sublime. A small criticism was that the asparagus needed to be peeled as some (only a few) stalks were a bit stringy on the outside. However at c £35 for two people including coffee I reckon this lunch deserves a five star rating.
We had the set menu. The food was dull and not cooked properly. The steak and veg were tough and inedible, particularly the veg. Soup OK.
Excellent food and excellent service. Good quality and good value for money. We would thoroughly recommend this restaurant. Staff are very attentive but are unobtrusive
Great price for great food. Lovely staff and relaxed atmosphere. Good selection of dishes with a fresh selection of daily special often. Deserts choice could be larger
Fantastic meal of sea bass and then apple crumble accompanied by a glass of lovely house red. Very charming and efficient Romanian waiter. Looking forward to my next visit. Thankyou for making our evening such an enjoyable one.
Fantastic restaurant. We had great service even though they were very busy. The food was excellent and great value for money. This was our first visit to Cheltenham and we were so glad to find this place. We will be back.
We enjoyed an excellent Saturday lunch. An interesting menu with the food well presented and served by cheerful, friendly and attentive staff. All in all a very pleasant dining experience.
Dined with overseas visitors.. First time they have experienced Cote. They can't remember a franchise in New Zealand but said they would seek one out. Do you have a Cote in Christchurch NZ. Excellent before theatre dinner in Cheltenham.
lively venue, staff very friendly and professional. Good selection of food on both menus. Fixed price menu very reasonably priced, A la Cart menu typically priced.
Lovely food in lovely surroundings. Service very good and an enjoyable evening had by all. Dine regularly at Cote and will continue to do so. Can't wait for Gloucester Quays to open.
I love the cote brassiere so I always leave good reviews or tell my friends to go there. But this time, I realised that if you want to have really good foods, you need to choose from a la carter menu then you won't disappointed. When this time around, we had early bird menu which are around £ 11 for 2 courses which are not too bad price if the food standard is little bit higher. The starter was tasteless and chicken was dry. So I was wondering why? I have figured out because of early bird menu. I was a bit disappointed. Hope they put same effort to cook a la carter menu to the early bird menu.
The food was not as high quality or tasted as good as other Cote restaurants we have been to. The service was also extremely slow.
The overall experience was good. However, although we specifically asked for bottled mineral water and not the free filtered variety, the waiter brought both and when asked to remove the filtered he left it on the table. We had a long wait for our main courses and one meal had clearly been hanging around, overdone asparagus. We then waited a long time for dessert but the Manageress struck the cost of that from the bill.
Food excellent and service very good. Early evening menu well priced and very good value. Good range of dishes on both menus. The Breton fish stew was excellent.
Excellent service and amazing food,a very pleasant restaurant. Good service and friendly helpful staff. It's the second time we have been and will continue to eat there, superb choice and excellent food.
As always, an evening with excellent service and wonderful food. Whilst my wife and I don't eat out in Cheltenham that often this was our 3rd meal out at Cote Brasserie this year and we plan on going again in the next couple of months.
Love cote. Brilliant atmosphere fab good 😊 Great gluten free menu which has been accredited by coeliac U.K. Me and my partner had a fab night
Friendly staff gave a warm welcome on arrival. The easy location and good food ensure we will definitely return. Enjoyable early evening dinner for two.
Food good and service fine. Tables a bit close for good conversation when it's a busy. A glass of bubbly for my husbands birthday nice
As on all of our previous visits, there was very good choice and quality of food, first rate service and excellent value. Great all round experience.
Had an enjoyable lunch at Côte - food and service excellent and a nice ambience. Only down side being that the dining room is noisy - not that the other lunch guests were being unduly so - it's all to do with the furnishings and hard surfaces which don't absorb sounds. Definitely worth a return visit.
Great atmosphere! Great service, delicious food and good value for money! Friendly staff, who greeted us on arrival as if they were expecting us! Varied menu which didn't disappoint! Would definitely recommend this restaurant as an informal, relaxed dining experience!
Did not like being given isolated table, given there were tables free in the front of restaurant. This was addressed when complained but spoiled evening
Lovely chain restaurant. Can't really fault it in terms of quality food and value for money. Staff are super friendly although service can be a bit slow at times. We've already booked to return twice in Juneceith different groups of friends :-)
We chose from the specials menu and enjoyed a fabulous meal at a very reasonable price. The service was also very good and the staff efficient and friendly.
Lovely atmosphere, attentive staff. Delicious food. One of our favourite places to eat. Good value too. Love the new menu, perfect asparagus as a starter. Sad that the beef bourginoun has been removed though:(
I tried the 3 course lunch menu. The choices were good, the food well cooked and tasty and the portion size was ideal for a lunchtime. The fish main course did not come with potatoes, which were needed and were an additional price. The meal was excellent value for money. Service was attentive and prompt whilst not hurried.
We were sat next to a 'hen party' of 13. Impossible to converse with our guests. Eventually moved but still surrounded by noisy people. Restaurant far too noisy for any meaningful conversation.
Lovely meal. Slightly let down by the crepe desert as it was very chewy and cold. 1st choice main course wasn't available, even though it was the special!
Consistently excellent food and service. Would recommend the Cheltenham Cote to anyone who wants good cuisine and a friendly, buzzy ambience, lunchtime or dinner time.
Very average food. Wilted salad and lukewarm crumble. For a birthday meal we were very disappointed. It was our first visit and will give it one more go
We all enjoyed our lunchtime meal. The wine we chose was very pleasant. An error with one of our meals was dealt with the minimum of fuss. The whole experience was enjoyable and one we shall repeat. The olives in the salads nicoise would benefit by not being chopped so small. A small quibble.
The food was tasty & well cooked but over-priced. I object to paying extra for standard vegetables. The double whammy was a 12 1/2% service charge added to the bill. I doubt I shall return.
We went for dinner on a busy Friday night. We had a great meal out-fantastic service from knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff and lovely food. Overall thought it was good value for money.
Meal was good, service good, but scallop starter was swimming in fat and oil from the lardons, I couldn't eat it, that was disappointing, so then felt hungry as only had a chicken salad for main, however chocolate mousse was delicious .
We had the plaice and the haddock both of which were perfectly cooked. Wine good as was the service. Highly recommended. Always reasonably priced and well presented.
We enjoyed our food, as always. We like Cote because the food is well cooked, interesting and the portions are not too big - which means I can manage 2 and sometimes 3 courses. In addition the staff were courteous, helpful but not intrusive. We will be back.
Good food, buzzy atmosphere, they were a bit slow to take payment at the end of the meal, but otherwise it was a very enjoyable lunch...
Fabulous Saturday lunch with girlie friends. Vry busy, but staff were excellent, attentive & nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was really good.🍹☕️👍
