Côte Cheltenham

Second visit in a week so that can only mean one thing - it’s worth it. Service as always was friendly, efficient and welcoming. Food delicious. It really is a great restaurant. Made all the better by the lovely staff.

Service excellent, food very good especially the rib eye steak, which was very tasty and extremely tender. The crumble was perfect - the right balance between fruit and crumble. Yummy

First visit in about a month, which is unusual. As usual we were disappointed. We were greeted warmly on arrival. Service was friendly and efficient. Food delicious as always. Already booked my return visit.

Excellent choice of early menu and delivered quickly. Super hot food and very tasty. Especially the french onion soup which did not have tarragon in it which we had experienced in Godalming.

Five us went for brunch on mother in laws 91st birthday. The staff were great and very accommodating. The food was excellent as always , there was a good atmosphere and we were not rushed out as in so many places. Highly recommended !

Good atmosphere. Excellent understated service. Good Roquefort and chicory salad as a starter. The main course of mushroom cassoulet was a little disappointing as the whole point of a cassoulet is its unctuousness. This one had a sauce that was slightly too runny and gave the impression that the beans had been added late in the process rather than being cooked slowly in the sauce.

We had great food and wine in great atmosphere. Good service, thoroughtly good evening out. Service was relaxed but good, great value for money too!

Sunday lunch while attending the Cheltenham Literature Festival. Did not have high expectation as it was going to be busy - how wrong could we have been. Superb meal, great ambiance (we were in the upstairs room). Great waitress. Food quality fantastic and choice was great too. We ate A La Carte and considered the price very reasonable.

Extreamly good food and variety to choose from, very good service, staff are very hospitable and friendly, deffinatly a good place to spend the evening.

Firstly I was given a table down the side, almost like a passage with no atmosphere, and in a draught from the aircon. I asked to be moved & got a nice cosy corner seat. I ordered steak frites with French beans. The steak came fairly quickly but with a smallish portion of fries and no beans. I asked where they were, I was told they were on the way. I’d eaten half the steak before they arrived and they were barely cooked. The waiter didn’t charge me for them thankfully. Service a little slow.

arrived one hour early but this was no problem the staff found us a nice window seat the food as always was of a good standard and fair price

Very good meal and service. The fish parmentier and the duck were really tasty and good value for money, but the venue was just a shade too noisy!

Pleasant setting- tables not too close together. Pleasant staff. Good food, well cooked. I often come here on a visit to Cheltenham and am nestaffisappointed.

Cote is always reliable. My only criticism of this particular branch would be that it wa quite hot and airless. The layout makes it quite a squash. But good attentive service

Had the Prestige set menu for an early dinner before going to an event at the Literary Festival. The service was good and pleasant food. Thought the French onion soup could have had more onion in it, and the linguine in my husband’s Seafood Linguine could have been slightly more cooked, though there was plenty of seafood in it. Don’t like the fact that a 12.5% service charge is automatically added to the bill. I would have happply voluntarily given 10%, but think more than that is a bit steep when we were only there for an hour having a 2-course fixed menu..

Not been for a few months but this place is better than ever. It was full and buzzing because of the Literature Festival but service could not be faulted. We really liked the prestige set menu which is still amazing value. As usual a special thanks to the black shirts who run up and down two flights with the food. Guys you are brilliant.

Super food, super service, it is always an enjoyable meal at Cote which is why I return knowing it will always be great value for money.

Food was good, service very attentive and the house red incredibly smooth and great value! Our experience on the night was really good, only negative was that I rang and left a message at 11.00 am in the morning regarding our booking and nobody called me back, which resulted in us having to wait half an hour for our able on arrival. Other than this our experience was great!

Food was great but noise levels quite high and lighting a bit dim for reading menus! Will definitely return as the general ambience is very pleasant.

As always, just fantastic, staff superb, food wonderful, atmosphere incredible, this is probably one of my favourite places to eat that and the one is Gloucester Quays - they provide a level of service which is few and far between in this day and age. Well done Cote for getting it so right - back there again next week!

Medium-rare steak, was more well-done! However, it was changed without fuss and the service was excellent. Still one of my favourite restaurants in Cheltenham and excellent value for money

Unfortunately the PORK that I choose was practically raw,had blood running out of it!As I understand pork can be served slightly pink but never bloody! I did not eat any of it thankfully. However the waitress was excellent & took it away(didn’t charge me for my alternative meal either.)Was very disappointed as I have never had a bad meal at Cote Cheltenham before.

Service was good, but as in the last 2 visits the steaks while a good quality meat was overcooked and dried out. Crab mayo starter was excellent

As always we have enjoyed our dinner at Cote very much. The food is excellent and the portions right. And the staff is very efficient and friendly. It is still our favourite restaurant in Cheltenham. Brigitte

A very warm welcome led on to being seated comfortably and served an excellent meal for our party of four adults. The service and presentation were first class in this popular silver -service restaurant.

Excellent service and food - as always. And, particularly good for my wife, who is vegan. A very good range of options adapted from the vegetarian menu.

A thoroughly pleasant time was had by our party of four having dinner on Friday Sept. 14th because of the warm welcome we received on arrival, the superb food, first class presentation and excellent service. This experience was what we expected, the same as when we have visited the restaurant on many previous occasions. David Newman

Perfect portions of tasty food. Cosy atmosphere and good service. All in all an excellent meal in great surroundings and great value too. Highly recommended.

Good food. Good service. The staff are all delightful and always make it a good experience. Breakfast is also good and reasonably priced. We will be back ..... again!

Iam vegetarian food was not very good place was nice though

First visit and impressed. Tried the steak & frites with a glass of Merlot. Excellent. Service friendly and efficient. Will return again with some company!

Very pleasant and efficient staff, easy access for a wheelchair, food was excellent. We had a very nice evening the only issue was the general noise of the restaurant but that was due to it being very busy.

It was as lovely as ever and we always have good service and very delicious food . The staff are always quick and remmeber to put us in the back as my sister is deaf .

The usual high quality food and service. This is a consistently good restaurant with excellent value for money. The creme caramel remains an absolute stunner.

Slight problem with one of the meals in our party of 6 which was resolved quickly and efficiently. Otherwise food quality, service and ambiance were all excellent.

We both ordered your Breton chicken, which we have had many times before, but found the meat to be dry and over cooked. This was dissapointing as it was on our wedding anniversary. David & Sheila Gwyther

Great menu, especially the brunch deal, food great and good gluten free options. Friendly and efficient staff and lovely building. Took our baby lots of room and great atmosphere.

Lovely relaxing atmosphere - varied menu with plenty of gluten free choices as well as great meal deals. I have been to several of your restaurants - Bath/Worcester and now Cheltenham and the food has been absolutely delicious at each restaurant - I would thoroughly recommend anyone to visit 🙂

We were shown initially to a booth table which was rather uncomfortable for my duff leg, but the ever cheerful Maitre D immediately offered us another table which was perfect. He was apologetic for not realising, (but how could he have known?). The meal and the service were superb, as always. We were dining with friends and we all had a very pleasant evening. Although the restaurant filled up rapidly, we were never given the impression that they were anxious for us to vacate the table, quite the opposite in fact. All in all, a most enjoyable time was had by the four of us. Roger Nicholls

Excellent service and excellent food! I had a chipped glass that was changed immediately! Fair prices and lovely decor! Will be back without a doubt!
