A superb evening, I had not informed the staff of a birthday celebration, but the waiter over heard the occasion and started our evening with a complimentary kit royal. The food from the December menu was superb. Cannot wait to go back.

Another excellent visit and meal to Cotes. Our favourite Cheltenham restaurant! Wearing two hearing aids, as soon as the room begins to fill with diners, I find it more and more difficult to hear those sitting on my table. This cuts down my enjoyment of the meal. Perhaps some sound deadening might be considered to make the room less 'boomy'?

We went for our group breakfast just before Christmas and we were not disappointed with both the food and service!

Service was very slow. We had to keep asking where the food was! No colouring in available for kids - Especially on Christmas Eve when families must have been expected! No straws for kids.

Good food, good service, what more could we want? We had a good evening.

Excellent food and service and very good website for on line booking. We were impressed but not surprised as this is a restaurant we use regularly. First class value for money

Great food and service. Minor hiccup at the start was that one of the group arrived early and was sat on a completely different table out of sight ... as a result we ordered a bit later than planned. Didn’t ruin the luncheon .. always enjoy the high standards which Cote has continued to maintain

Have always enjoyed our previous meals at Cote but very disappointed this time. Booked online the day before to ensure a table but were shown to a very cramped corner seat at the back of the restaurant and told there weren’t any others available. Eventually after protesting we were shown to a better seat(do still think the seating in the restaurant is too cramped) Explained we hadn’t got much time and were only ordering one course but still had to wait over 1/2 hr for our food. We’d practically finished our drinks by the time the food arrived! When I checked up on the delay they said it was because we hadn’t ordered starters! Surely it’s not compulsory, I would have thought orders would be slotted in as they come in! My husband ordered the fish Parmentier and I had the half Breton Chicken. Mine was very tasty but my husband’s was quite dry and there were a number of bones in it which is totally unacceptable in a pie. Anyway we mentioned this and they took it off the bill which helped redeem what was overall a rather disappointing experience.

Very slow service today, extremely long wait for our desserts, we had finished our coffees by the time our desserts got served. The meals that we ordered were very nice, worth the wait.

I am always impressed with the friendliness of the staff. They are efficient,helpful cheerful, and I cannot rate them too highly. Today I and my friends were all agreed that the food was very good and nicely served. We were not rushed but were given plenty of time to enjoy the occasion. It was a good time as restaurant was preparing for a large party. When we were there all was peaceful. Climbing the stairs to the toilets all the rails were sticking and unpleasant to hold. WE were told recently painted but felt like food sticky.

Lunchtime group meal. Lovely food, great efficient service and lovely atmosphere

Our party of six had the three-course lunch - with several different choices on each course but it was all superb - beautifully cooked and well-presented. Every time we have been to the Montpellier restaurant in Cheltenham we have been impressed..will certainly be back yet again!
