Friendly staff who gave a warm welcome and were polite and helpful throughout the meal lovely food nicely presented - even sang happy birthday to our guest which was a lovely surprise

Party of four visited on Saturday night. As always great food and wine, great atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. We visit this restaurant quite frequently now and will definitely be back soon.

Wonderful food, great service in nice surroundings. Also really enjoyed the wine that was recommended to us to pair with the food. The Creme Caramel for dessert was to die for, the best we've ever had. Will definitely be returning

Excellant food good choice of menu. The staff were attentive and helpful . The only comment I would say is the green beans were too crunchy for my wife although I liked them.

Our first visit to the brasserie and we were thrilled with the quality of food, attitude and upbeat vibe from staff and our attentive waiter. Combination was our group of 7 all very much enjoyed the evening.

Delicious food and wine. Very good service, all staff friendly and good humoured. I was having lunch with a friend I hadn't seen for ages and once we had finished eating staff left us to chat. Never made us feel pressured to ask for the bill and leave. A very pleasant afternoon. Many thanks

As always, we had a fabulous meal here. My friends came for the first time and were so impressed!! One of my party was vegetarian and she loved her meal too.

Nice atmosphere with tables laid out for comfort and space. The menu options were excellent and varied. The group had steak, pork, salad, and moules and frites and all was of a high standard. Service was good. Only small grumble was the water supplied to the table in odd wooden bottles which was almost warm!

Very nice welcome from staff. The service and food were very good - the mussels were excellent and were enjoyed by two of our party - also the pork belly was very nice.

Without doubt one of the best restaurants in Chelmsford. Food is beatifully cooked and presented. The service is efficient and friendly without being overly attentive. Thoroughly recommended!

I really like the menu at Cote. During August they are offering a three course set menu to celebrate their 10 year anniversary with a complimentary glass of champagne. Very friendly waiting staff and good selection of French wines. Recommended

Choose our meal from the lunchtime menu. There was something for everyone and all four of us were very happy with the flavour, quantity and quality of our food. Excellent service would definitely return and recommend this restaurant.

Love this restaurant. Great food, good service and the lunch menu is such great value - 3 courses £12.95!! 😀 It is one of my favourite places to lunch in Chelmsford.

Our second visit to Cote in Chelmsford this week. This time with friends on Saturday night. On arriving we were given 4 glasses of fizz to celebrate my birthday. As always service,food and ambience excellent.

Service is always good. Food is good quality. Good atmosphere in the restaurant and a nice choice of wines on offer. Crime Brûlée is particularly good.

Excellent food. Not rushed in any way but attentive service. Very good value. The range of fish dishes was particularly strong. Central location much appreciated.

You can rely on good food, great service and value for money. Well worth a lunch time visit. Excellent addition to the restaurants in Chelmsford.

Had a great meal with my wife to celebrate my birthday with complimentary kir royales. We both had the classic soupe de poisson to start which was extremely tasty and invoked happy memories of past meals in France followed by chargrilled salmon and roasted pork belly - both of which were very well cooked. The service was excellent; our waiter was both extremely proficient and very amusing.

Excellent food and value for money! Staff very nice and friendly. Will be returning again. Surroundings pleasant. Had a relaxed lunch with friends who would also be returning.

Yeah it wasn't bad. My steak and chips was just steak at chips though nothing special. My tuna rillettes starter was delicious and the service was great.

Very friendly staff. Welcoming and restful atmosphere. The food was delicious. We had brunch. The vegetarian was beautifully presented. We also had the pancakes and full English. All were very good.

This is such a great addition to Chelmsford and the staff are excellent being friendly but at the same time efficient and caring The managers are also excellent and the new Manager Laura is such a delight The food is also always hot and very good

The food was great and well priced. The staff were all amazing!! They were friendly and warm, but really professional. We are really looking forward to going again.

Very pleasant meal. Service was attentive and not over bearing. A bit noisy but it was a Saturday night and busy. I recommend the fish stew!

We had a very enjoyable experience. The food was very good and the service friendly. We would go back to the Cote Brasserie in Chelmsford.

All four of us enjoyed our evening at Cote. One of our guests is gluten free and this was no problem. We look forward to our next meal at this consistently good restaurant.

We had a really good meal here, very nice mussels and fish dishes. The service is attentive and friendly, just right for our leisurely meal.

Enjoyed the evening . Will use again as the food was good value and the atmosphere was friendly. The service could have been a bit sharper as we had asked for our main course not to come up to soon as we wanted to enjoy our starters but not surpisingly they turned up while we were still eating them.

Wonderful staff, great menu choices and fantastic value. We love the whole Cote concept, particularly the monthly specials and two / three course deals. Consistency is also important for us, given we eat out regularly.

I came here to meet up with a friend for lunch. The food was great and the service was quick and efficient. Minor issue was sorted immediately. This was my second visit and I would definitely come again.

We celebrated our 3 year anniversary at Côte this evening, and as always we received amazing service! The food was impeccable and the ambiance made it for the perfect setting. Strengthened my opinion that this is the best restaurant in Chelmsford - thank you all for such a lovely experience

The Mussels were excellent and the service was very good. The decor is understated and the atmosphere lends to conversation which is nice. Very reasonable prices too

Had a nice meal. Slight problem with one of the starters, but this was replaced and we were not charged. Friendly, professional service. Would visit again.

Excellent meal, the food was delicious and the staff were really friendly. The manager in particular was very attentive without being instrusive. All in all a lovely evening.

The food and atmosphere were absolutely great, but we felt like they were pushing us out towards the end of the evening. Not rude in any way, but were urging us to go a little. Other than that, amazing!

Great food and service, attentive but not overbearing. We keep coming back as we are never disappointed. Plenty of room unlike some other places that cram in as many tables as possible and all you can hear is other people's conversations.

Consistently excellent in terms of value for money, quality and service. Delicious, fresh food and a great atmosphere, I would highly recommend Cote for any type of occasion.

Food was ok. Maybe it was my choices but food was a little dry. Prices seem reasonable for steak etc. 3 course set seems good value
