Excellent food and service as always. And you get a free drink if you book your table.

Breakfast/brunch was lovely and the staff so welcoming and pleasant really enjoyed our visit.

Excellent service. Very friendly helpful and courteous staff. Everyone in my party of 14 enjoyed their food - no complaints at all. All meals came together and all orders were correct in spite of not pre-ordering! So impressed with everything!

We was a party of 4. Although we had a good meal and drinks and the food was of a good quality we all felt that the bill was excessive at £160.00. Also the service charge was over the top at £17.00.

Great service as usual. Young lady in charge friendly and attentive. All the staff are very good. Unfortunately my steak wasn't up to normal standard. When I notified the waitres it was replaced quickly without any fuss. The replacement was very good.

Friendly, Frenchified, great menu choice, reasonably priced drinks - and occasional free bottles. In fact, terrific.

I visited Cote Chelmsford for the first time last night with my girlfriend. I chose a fish dish topped with potato but could have been accompanied with some vegetables such as carrots or green beans. I would subdue the lighting just a tad more and the staff very friendly and professional. Genuine staff aren’t always easy to find. I asked for one of the rustic water containers to keep as I liked the look of them with the Cote name on it and was given one for free. Shall return one day and been recommended to try the breakfast with French bacon. Thankyou.

Lovely dinner, food and service were very good. Been to this Cote many times and it is consistently a great experience. Like the busy, noisy atmosphere as part of the experience.

We chose to eat at your restaurant because it was our 50th Wedding Anniversary and we shared the experience with our chief bridesmaid x what a wonderful time we had too. Staff fantastic and food great. Wonderful day.

Have used this Cotes several times and always had good service and good food. This time however, the service let it down. Three times I had to get up to order a drink and after eating our starter I had to get up again to ask soeone to clear the plates, waiting time was unacceptable.

Had a birthday celebration with my wife and a friend. Arrived at 1.30p.m - received a superb welcome from Manager and staff - food and wine superb - we had three different mains and all plates were cleared+ We will return+

The meal itself was fine, exactly what we would expect, however the staff are amazing. This was my second visit in a 6 weeks and on both occasions the service and quality of the front of house team was second to none.

We really enjoy eating here so good for early evening meal meeting our son and wife when they get home from working in London. Great food and service.

We were given some vouchers as a present and came to the restaurant this evening. It was an absolutely wonderful evening from start to finish. The food, ambience, and staff were second to none! We had an absolutely lovely time and the food was fantastic! We will definitely be booking again! Thank you to all staff for making a very enjoyable evening!

An excellent meal, my mum was even allowed a children’s meal as a normal meal is too big. I had the chicken and walnut salad and it was amazing. I can highly recommend the kir royals too.

We are regular customers of Cote. The food is always excellent with good varied menus.

We had the set menu. Mussels - Sea Trout -1 Chocolate Mousse -1 Creme Caramel All delicious............except the potatoes with the fish which we think were pre-prepared and vacuum packed. Some were soggy and some hard. This let you down. The staff were good and offered us fries.

Really enjoyed our evening. Started with the tuna carpaccio special and the prawns gratinee. Both very good. Then I had the mussels and John had the duck, again both excellent. We had a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc and then shared the lemon creme brulee special, with John having an extra glass of merlot. Lovely evening and we will be back.

We had a brilliant afternoon for my Daughter's birthday. We staff were very attentive and accomodating.

The food, as always, was delicious. Cote is our favourite restaurant in Chelmsford. However, it was rather spoiled somewhat today by the first waitress we had when we were seated. She was extremely abrupt whilst taking our order and not at all friendly like the others when we’ve been before. We were all surprised by her attitude, so much so that in I had to mention to the lady who was front of house, who understood my concern and dealt with the matter.

Excellent - Lucas was at his best and the food was exactly as we like it - great place to go - Trevor

Very pleasant seating area, service was efficient and attentive and the food was of a high quality, well presented.

We visited early on Saturday evening & enjoyed our meal. As usual we would recommend this restaurant for its friendly welcome and good quality food
