Côte Chelmsford

We have been to cote brasserie several times and the food is very nice. However, the service was poor with a very standoffish waiter who never warm up to us. Disappointing evening and we will go to Cote Brasserie in Chelmsford to explain our reasons.

Excellent food great service, will definitely go back and highly recommended. Manager and staff very friendly very helpful with allergies And recommendations of the menu.

Meeting friends and workmates is always a very pleasante experience at Cote. Free kir royales just added to the whole thing. Will be back xx

Great meal........as always. Service was top notch as well.

Very welcoming and attentive staff. Introductory complimentary bottle of wine ordered online which we didn't have to remind the staff about. It came without prompting. Food was great as usual.

Good service, great food, nice relaxed atmosphere. Always greeted with a genuine smile. Nice open seating plan, light and airy restaurant. We love it.

Party of four had a fab time service was excellent food was good happy to return again. Recommend the G and T or house wine ???

Lovely breakfast with friends. We had the full English with juice & coffee. Staff were friendly and efficient. A great start to our Saturday. Looking forward to our next visit.

Wonderful food at a great price. Had the fillet steak (rare of course!) and was cooked to perfection! Service was great, especially considering how busy the restaurant was!

As always, the food was a high standard and the staff/management were very available and professional.

Pleasant friendly staff, good service and the food was great. It was a quiet Saturday lunch time so not too busy Waiting time for food was acceptable.

It would have been 6 stars out of 6 but I don’t like it when restaurants presumptuously add a 12.5% tip on the bill. I would have left the tip because the service and food was good, but don’t like it when it’s already added for me.

Had an enjoyable weekend brunch at the Chelmsford Branch. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, especially the manager! Food was served quickly and extremely tasty, and we were regularly checked up on. Thoroughly recommended!

I enjoyed my lunch today. I am wheat and dairy intolerant so I it was nice to eat my favourite food which is fish and seafood I had the fish stew and it was very tasty. I will be returning xx

Excellent food and service as usual. My only dislike is the greeting: I’m not a big fan of being asked “how my day has gone” or “what have you been up to” or “where are we going after?” I’m not a kill joy but this really has no bearing on me buying breakfast from you! It will actually put me off using Cotê! Hi, how are you etc, thanks for choosing Cotê is quite sufficient IMO?

Have enjoyed Cote's hospitality in a number of venues around the country. Chelmsford's Cote rates amongst the best. The service, attention to detail and quality of the food today was very, very good. The French couple beside us, who clearly enjoyed their meal, gave further credence to our judgement, as did another gentleman, who complimented the staff on the quality and ambiance when leaving. Keep up the quality and service, guys. will continue to visit and encourage others to do so.

Great atmosphere, amazing food. Our waitress (who we later found out was only here for training) was very friendly and gave us great suggestions for wine. Can't wait to go back.

Absolutely perfect as usual. Very busy as it was Friday night but nevertheless the service was efficient and the food great. We took Italian friends there and they enjoyed the whole experience.

As always the food was excellent and the service very good. Got a free drink for booking on-line and being on their emailing list. Had the crab bisque, roast duck breast and tarte aux Mirabelles.

Our companions and ourselves very much enjoyed our experience at the Cote Chelmsford. The staff, in particular the Maitre de were very pleasant and welcoming and contributed towards us having a very pleasant meal. The quality of the food was (as usual) excellent. Food was beautiful, really nice! Atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely and friendly. My only one little criticism would be the manger (server not in uniform ) pushing the up-selling with wine a little too much!! Made it a little uncomfortable, but that’s only a small thing! Everything else was truly beautiful, and the overall service was very good!
