Lovely restaurant. Staff are always helpful and accommodating. Breakfast is amazing. We always have the formule which is great value. We have been with friends and family and all have enjoyed it and returned.

This was my first formule breakfast and I loved it. I’ve had lots of evening meals that have been great and I am thrilled to have discovered the breakfasts are just as good. I will definitely do this again.

Food good as always but service a little slow - we might have had desserts but not offered for such a long time that we had lost interest!

This was a very poor visit to the Cote Brasserie. The service was efficient but for the 15% service charge not worthy. There were two of us. I ordered the Moules as a starter. By some way the smallest portion I have ever eaten. Most of the shells were empty and the size of the mussels were tiny. We were offered bread but this would be extra so we refrained. Surely a single piece of bread should come with the moules? The main course was Bretton Chicken. Two small pieces arrived on a plate with a very small portion of French fries and some limp green leaves. The chicken was flavourless. I ordered a coffee which was good and well made. my friend order squid and again the portion size was tiny and tasted like cheap frozen supermarket squid. The ribeye selected from the so called premium menu included and extra charge. The steak was overcooked and the size was the smallest one I have ever seen. We had a couple of beers and the whole bill was just under £70 by the time the 15% service was added. This was the worst meal I have had out in the past 2 years or so and I will never visit CB again. Poor and mean. You will make money but I would be amazed if people ever come back. I have had better chicken and chips from KFC and a lot cheaper. We felt ripped off and we left the restaurant hungry and headed for the takeaway. Colin and Ian 21/05/2019 at 16:30

Our experience at Côte Brasserie began with a warm welcome, and continued with friendly, enthusiastic service. The food was freshly cooked, beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. The atmosphere was relaxed and customers seemed to feel very much at home. Staff found time to engage with diners, and when it came to settling the bill the manager was keen to hear our feedback. The overall experience was one of dining in a familiar family-run restaurant where you felt you belonged.

An excellent evening with good food, friendly and professional staff providing a very pleasant experience. Always a dependable place to visit. Highly recommended and my favourite place in Chelmsford.

Fabulous service, great atmosphere, reliable food and excellent value for money

Not the best Cote meal I’ve had to be honest. The staff were clearly very busy and there were delays/confusions on food coming out which left two of us waiting for bits to arrive before starting so it was a little bit colder than I’d have liked.

Had a lovely evening, Service was superb very attentative and not in your face, food was great! Felt very welcome and stayed for a few drinks after!! Will defunatly vome back!!

Waitress did not know of Blood Orange Martini offer! Then we were told they were out of vodka for Martinis! Plus, service was slow - particularly irritating as we mentioned that we were on a time constraint.

Great service from the staff and Lucas was very friendly and knowledgeable. Helped us choose a great bottle of red wine. The food was delicious too. Highly recommended.

Probably one of the best breakfast experiences we have had in and around chelmsford! The quality is also the same in other Cote restaurants. Great value for money and excellent quality and service keeps us going back!!

Amazing food, great service, just perfect! What more could a person ask for. Will definitely go there again. Had lamb rump which was a simply delicious dish, so tasty. My fellow diners both had steaks which they said were sumptuous!

As always one of the best places to eat in Chelmsford. The food is delicious and very good value for money. The service is also also outstanding. I have eaten at Chelmsford Cote Brassiere many times and have never had anything but a fantastic experience.

I requested a nice table - specifically because it was my daughters birthday. The restaurant was not busy and we were made to sit at the back near the exit for the bins. Even though the rest of the restaurant was pretty empty on the other side and at the front. Plus a bin was taken out by our table trying to hide it by covering it with a Napkin! Which does not hide the smell. Plus the back door was left open so a cold drought was coming in - had to be asked to close it. 2 waitresses decided it was a good idea to also stand on a chair and organise the glasses at the workstation whilst we were eating our lunch. Altogether very disappointing & we chose cote over other restaurants. I would think twice now about coming. Waste of time making a request.

Excellent service and awesome food, really attentive friendly staff and great atmosphere

A lovely meal but our wine order was too acidic; great response by the Manager to immediately agree and change the wine, but in recommending a more expensive selection I would expect to pay for what I ordered. Picky, but just how I was trained and would have dealt with the issue.

Great atmosphere and really lovely desserts. Tuna steak in my nicoise was a little rare for my liking, however. Service was prompt and polite. I would go back again.

Really great food, served efficiently and without too much hassle of fussing. Our waiter was really professional and a credit to Cote. My only moan about Cote is the limited beer selection. There are some superb French micro breweries and I would be happy to help you select two/three to add to the menu!

Birthday, Mother’s day, Christmas function, First date, family meal all have been accommodated perfectly. Love this restaurant and I s staff!

I’ve said it every time we visit cote brasserie, Chelmsford but it really is the best place for consistently excellent service & good food.

Booked a table online. Greeted by a very pleasant manager (female), food delicious and my gluten free diet (Coeliac) catered for, reasonably priced. Always chose a Cote Brassiere because of the gluten free options.

As usual the food was very good and the service (manager and waiting staff) was efficient , attentive and professional. The pricing is good , however , a few special offers (e.g.voucher codes) for the quiet days would encourage us to visit even more.
