Whilst the food was delicious my mums starter soup was ‘warm’ as were the mashed spud in our main but we were so hungry we ate anyway as it was so tasty. The staff were very attentive. Thank you

Cote Brasserie continued to impress us with its high quality and friendly service, well prepared and appetising food and an excellent range of gluten free options. We had a very enjoyable lunch which cheered up a miserable rainy day. Many thanks to all the staff.

Service was great. The restaurant is cramped but that’s the building- they do the best with what they have.

There is a new look main a la carte menu which we had - and every course was delicious. Not cheap though. Because we had chosen the main courses we were presented with complimentary orange liqueur martinis - dangerous but delicious cocktails. The service was excellent, and we enjoyed the lovely Portuguese Maitre d' who looks more and more pleasant each time we go to this restaurant. He cannot do enough for you. We stayed for nearly three hours until the staff started to get the hoover out and put the chairs up. Sorry guys! But it was a very pleasant evening. Just the noise level remains a problem and you end up shouting to each other

Côte have nearly got it down. We ordered the pre-theatre menu having booked a table for 6.30. The menu met all our wants so there was no need to look at the a là carte. The service was very prompt, as if we were really in a hurry to get to the theatre. I explained that despite ordering from the pre-theatre menu we weren't in a hurry at all. The pace of service slowed appropriately in response. The service was just the right amount of attentiveness. The dishes tasty and interesting. The Armagnac served at a temperature that seemed perfect. The one thing I'd change is for Côte to pay attention to the provenance of their ingredients. They say nothing about it that I could see. At the least I want to know the welfare standards of the animals reared for the meat on their menus. I like that Côte ask for feedback about noise levels. The acoustics of social environments need to be designed too. But hey, first world problems.

The food was absolutely fine and reasonable value for money but the waitress was clearly under trained and added nothing but frustration to the experience. For example: cleared the table after starter and put main course cutlery in a heap on the table

I am an incredibly regular visitor to this particular Cote restaurant for all the above reasons - I just keep going back for more. Unusual is the noise level on this occasion with an incredibly rowdy table next door. Fortunately, they left reasonably early and we were able to enjoy all the aspects of Cote that are always spot on.

Mostly good but uneven service experience. Our order was taken by a server whose command of English was not the best although she definitely was trying her best to understand us. Starters intended for another table were brought to our table. The same experience occurred with our mains as well. The lamb rillettes starter was very good but would be far more enjoyable and flavourful if served lightly rather than fully chilled. The steak frites was solid as ever. I ordered a roquefort butter with the steak frites (set lunch menu) and specifically asked that the butter be heated before being served, either on the side or on the steak. Unfortunately, it arrived bone cold straight from the fridge. The Chocolate Pot was fine. I also ordered a double espresso to be served after my dessert (my dining companion elected to have his Americano served with this dessert) and the on-duty manager took this part of our order and executed our request perfectly. Cote offers excellent value/quality for the money and I am a frequent diner in other Cote restaurants. Today, the service was a little bit uneven but the kitchen was as consistent as ever. (For the avoidance of any confusion, the waiting time rating is meant to imply that there was none and we were seated immediately.)

Always a pleasure to eat at Cote. I asked for a quiet table and that is exactly what we got. Service was beyond exemplary - what I'd expect in a much more expensive restaurant. Food also exceeded expectations and it was just a perfect evening. The free cocktail was delicious and a huge and much appreciated bonus. I always recommend Cote to my friends!

I had dinner with myself and was introduced to the January set menu which no doubt I'll have weekly as I come to this Cote often. As usual the lovely waiting staff couldn't do enough and they made me feel very welcome. The noise level even early on in the evening is high especially when you are sitting next to a large table of 6-8 people. But the place is very popular and everyone wants to get in before 7pm to have the set menus. The hot Roquefort Salad is one of my favourites as a starter.

Very little to criticise. The waiting staff were courteous and friendly, food well -presented and tasty, wine prices very acceptable. Good choice on the pre-theatre menu. It's a bit noisy and the tables are rather too close together. We were completely hemmed in. Going to the loo involved quite a lot of juggling around.

I took a friend who had not been to any Cote Brasserie before. She has lost out! She loved it. Particularly the service. The lovely Danish Maitre d' welcomed me like a long lost friend, which of course impressed my friend. Since my friend does not drink alcohol they mixed a most delicious mocktail for my friend as a welcome drink which I might try in future as opposed to my usual Kier Royal. All my favourite waiters were there, the lovely Italian lady from Lecce and the ever smiling waiter from Greece. We ate from the Prestige menu. The calamari on my friend's hot plate looked and apparently tasted delicious. I had the hot roquefort salad (again) and we both had the salmon with the most unusual and delicious vegetables (I made my friend eat hers!). Of course I'll be back.

Lovely meal apart from the steak in my Stroganoff being a bit on the chewy side. My onion soup was excellent and my hubby enjoyed both his courses. Very good service and a lovely welcome!

Fantastic service. We were after an area for a long lunch meeting at the Charlotte Street restaurant was perfect. We had a quite almost private space and the waiter was extremely helpful. He balanced the right amount of attentiveness but also gave us space for our meeting. Our visit was today at Tues 11:30-15:00 and were table 51

We had the Forumule 'un' which is so delicious. He had the traditional English, and I the scrumptious vegetarian and naughtily didn't have the veggie sausage but BACON instead. Thankfully the gorgeous Portuguese Maitre d' is back. He had been loaned to another Cote and we had missed him. And the poached eggs were actually warmer than the usual cold serving of these eggs. Why can the breakfast chef not make them hot in the first place?

For the second time (in many bookings) I was not given the table I'd requested when booking two weeks ahead. However, the table I was given worked reasonably well. The food was up to its usual high standard and the service was very prompt but perhaps a bit too attentive. The noise level, which is important to me, was fine.

The girlfriend and I were welcomed by three of our favourite waiting staff, firstly the lovely hostess from Southern Italy - then the gorgeous Maitre d' from Portugal (thank goodness he is back) sporting a shorter haircut and the other waitress whose English has improved slightly. the girlfriend and I shared the charcuterie platter (too little toast) with the most delicious smoked duck, then the girlfriend had her usual steak frites and I had the scrumptious cassoulet (enough for at least four people) - and the service was superb. Oh yes, there was the lovely Albanian waiter who always smiles from ear to ear who replenished our glasses. We'll be back!

Both steaks ordered were served too rare to eat and were stringy and tough then the other frites one was cold and the chips undercooked. We waited far too long to be served welcome drinks, then ages in between each course, then all desserts were served to my family bar one and then we waited another age to get the last one which meant he ate his dessert alone after we had finished. Not good enough, especially as it was my birthday meal. Terribly shocked, as I often dine at Cote and never have problems, but i was very disappointed with Cote and would not wish to return again
