Staff are very friendly. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The atmosphere at the brasserie is pleasant. I would highly recommend it with no hesitation.
I love the Cote chain especially the excellent pre theatre menu. This was my first time at the Charlotte Street branch. Service was good but the food wasn't quite up to ùsual Cote standards.
Good value pre-theatre set menu - good choice and tasty dishes - the chocolate pot is a delight for chocoholics, Within walking distance of Dominion theatre.
Food was poor for half the diners and service very unsatisfactory. Have been to other branches that were much better - would certainly not recommend this particular branch.
Very friendly. professional and efficient service- notably by Sandra and Lana. Food was well-presented, delicious and excellent value for money - timing between courses was well-judged- no attempt to hurry us at out at the end. Highly recommended.
Impressed with the food and appropriate service for the setting. Nice atmosphere with small rooms tucked at the back and although a bit noisy, its not overbearing.
I first ate in a Cote Brasserie in York in 2015. Then, I came upon one in Canterbury in 2016 and thought, aha! This is a chain! But I ate there, too, because this is the most un-chain-like restaurant imaginable. And so when I found Cote on Charlotte St, just two blocks from my Gower St B & B, I ate two meals there on my recent 4-day trip to London. The food is superb. The lunch and pre-theater menu (you can order until 7 pm) is a real value. The service is efficient and friendly, and the atmosphere very relaxing. It is also a place that makes a late middle-aged woman like me traveling on her own for business feel very much at ease.
Great value for money and great service. Ideal for pre theatre and a variety of dishes. Never disappointed and highly recommend for families and people of all ages
Great location, enjoyed our food as always in Cote, and house wine good value. Service a little slow and not quite as attentive as usual. But overall a great pre-theatre meal!
Such a lovely evening the food was excellent and the staff were very efficient and helpful. Would love to go again or pass on the word to others.
We went with a baby and it was great. Not rushed, very friendly staff and the food was very nice. We were sat in the back, so we had plenty of space while the rest of the restaurant was nice and busy. Perfect
Food excellent, staff very helpful.great place for pre theatre meal. Would recommend the warm Roquefort salad and the fishcakes and the fish soup. Wine prices reasonable.
Lovely set menu lunch. I have been there before and always have a good lunch or dinner. Service is good but not intrusive and we were able to sit and chat as long as we wanted.
As always at Côte, excellent welcome, service and food. The pleasant, warm ambience contributes to a thoroughly enjoyable two or more hours with my granddaughter.
Superb breakfast. Had a French and an English. The boudin noir was delicious and great sausages. Eggs perfectly cooked. Very good service and taaty coffee.
All the staff were so friendly (food was Great) and they wished us a good night at the theatre as we left the restaurant to go to see 'American in Paris'.
Easy to find and in a good area for our theatre visit. Friendly and attentive staff. Good layout inside. A menu that I know and trust
Great service, delicious food, can recommend the charcuterie chicken salad and steak frites. Perfect for after a matinée performance or pre theatre. A bit slow to get the bill and payment organised only quibble.
excellent value, nice ambiance, normal Cote chain but amazingly quiet for central London. Charlotte Street is ideal for the Dominion theatre but we usually go to the ones near Covent Garden which are always packed out. Whoever thought of this chain and franchised it is brilliant
It was 3 of us for lunch today, 2 of us had the leek and potato soup was very nice and then all of us had the steak fritters. The lunch meal deal is very good value for money.
Delicious food. We had lamb cutlets with peas and pork belly with cabbage and potatoes. The food was top notch and the staff were very friendly. One of the best Cotes we have visited.
Good food and friendly staff. Its inside is nice as well. Being in a busy area full of restaurants makes the competition difficult and drives the quality.
It was fine. V busy to start & table close to door not ideal. Moved to another. Waitress questioned my 'complimentary birthday kirs 'saying had to have a la carte. Nothing to say that on email so it was ok but she didn't apologise. Steak bit tough. Overall it's hard to beat but sometimes better than others.
Great food for all tastes and preferences. And what's more... a whole gluten-free menu! Not just dishes like most places... a *menu*. Heaven. On a plate.
Food and service both really good - same every time I go to cote. Also, everything was really reasonably priced, using their set menu. Definitely recommend.
I don't expect an argument with the waitress when she brings a warm wine glass to the table for the chilled white wine and still less for it to be replaced with a tumbler and an excuse that they are very busy. Too busy to run it under the cold tap. The manager resolved matters and the rest of the evening went fine, but I have noticed that the prices are creeping up a bit too fast. Brexiteering a bit on the profit margins, maybe.
Very poor service because the waitress ' English was so poor she couldn't take the order properly . Food average and not up to standard !
Great food and friendly service. Although where we were sat we felt a bit forgotten about at times! But overall very good and reasonable and would certainly go back.
Great food, great service ! We ate off the Theatre Menu which was great value at £13.95 for 3 courses - eggs Benedict, steak frites and dark chocolate pot - scrummy !
Fab food, perfect for a quick meal before the theatre. Service was great, atmosphere was just right, music could be heard, but we were still able to talk easily.
Visited for a pre-theatre meal . There was a good value menu, the food was good, served quickly , and settling the bill was handled efficiently , especially considering the restaurant was completely full by that stage. Would definitely visit again.
We had a 3 course set meal before going to the theatre. Good choices on offer at a good price. Food very tasty and service efficient. We wull definitely return
The food at the Cote chain is consistently good and good value. Service was speedy for the first course, so we ordered dessert, telling the waitress what time we had to leave for the theatre, and asking for our bill immediately. We paid the bill, but our desserts didn't turn up until after the time we had told her we had to leave.
Great food for all tastes and preferences. And what's more... a whole gluten-free menu! Not just dishes like most places... a *menu*. Heaven. On a plate.
Good and fast service. The set menu always has dishes we like. Very convenient for events at the British Museum, reason for our frequent visits.
Nice place; service was a little slow and the portions of eggs royale were a little miserly, but other than that it was good enough
Went for my mother's birthday. The waitress that served us is slightly abrupt (although this might just be her normal attitude as I was served by her before on a previous visit). The service was slightly slow (it was a Monday evening so not too busy). Also a couple that was seated just after us received complimentary bread - needless to say we didn't. Apart from the cold and inattentive waitress, the food was good and the waiter (or I think he was the manager) was very friendly.
Cosy, a good location with a reasonably priced menu and good wine selection. Service was a little slow to begin with, but very friendly. Would return.
Interesting space, lots of small areas. Pleasant service and good food as one would expect from Cote. They comped our desserts following a problem in their kitchen. Would go again.
Excellent customer service - prompt and friendly. Food was great too and very well priced. The lobster mayonnaise and garlic butter prawns were great. No complaints.
Very good food &I service , good location and atmosphere. Menu to suit all. Good value. Will go again. Staff very welcoming. Not too noisy.
The experience was at best ok. My starter of tomato salad was disappointing, the tomatoes were soft and mushy and lacking in the flavour you expect from anciene tomatoes. My fish parmentier was good but my partners risotto had limp woody asparagus on top. The staff were over eager and it felt like they were trying to move us on.
Everything was fine but the service and food just a little below some other Cote places. Nothing really wrong and would go again if nearby, simply that little edge.
Brilliant service. I would recommend using Quandoo to reserve and will definitely go back to Cote. Nice restaurant and reasonably priced. Many thanks for having us. Great for a business meeting.
I've eaten on core many times, twice this week. Our table service yesterday waa terrible, so rude, and that's being polite. I was actually embarrassed in front of my clients.
Lovely meal, with good service and nice new menu and tap water without requesting it. Wine costly and 12.5 % on the bill for service steep tho!
I eat at this Cote at least once a week and the quality of the food and service are always superb. Breakfast is good value and I can hold a business meeting here in the morning.
I had dinner on my own and was pleased to be sitting upstairs at this Cote. Downstairs can be rather noisy in the evenings. The table staff are really very attentive and the food always good. My favourite: mushroom crepe and a glass of Kier royal.
Cote is one of our favourite restaurants, mainly because of the varied gluten free menu. However, this time there was ice in our drinks when we hadn't wanted it and then the second drink failed to be served. As usual the food was delicious.
A pre-theatre visit. Tables a bit squashed but staff and food excellent as always. Have never had a bad experience in any of the branches. Love the Breton fish stew. A restaurant chain with very high standards. They always get it right.
