A very enjoyable evening. Good food and service, would definitely recommend it to friends, as good quality food which was well worth the money. I will be back.
This was the perfect pre theatre meal - just a few minutes walk from the Dominion Theatre. Alway great quality and an excellent price particularly for central London. The Creme Caramel is heavenly...
Great as always ! nice relaxed afternoon with friendly service from the staff . Food was excellent as always , the treats were well received ,Thank Cote see u soon
The one draw back with the Cote Brasserie in Charlotte Street is that there is no downstairs toilet!! As for the atmosphere : that is pleasant, the menu and the food are excellent as it is in the cote Brasseries I have visited. The service was variable.
Excellent service, from the very friendly , and helpful staff. The Pre theatre menu is excellent value and offers a good choice of tasty dishes
We go there often and this really was the worst. The place was virtually empty but the service was appalling. After waiting 30 mins for our mains we asked what was going on and the waitress enquired and came back and said the chef had 'forgotten' our order. When the food did come it was very poor. Unfortunately we will not be going back which is a shame as we were regular patrons.
Waited well over an hour for our mains, with no explanation. After I finally asked, there was much scurrying among the staff. Finally, someone said "2 more minutes." It was about 10 more. When I asked what the hold-up was, I was told it was "a mixup in the kitchen." They did comp drinks (one glass of wine, a soda, and juice), but my risotto was under-cooked, the two orders of steak frites, over-cooked. Very disappointing...
Food was cold. Service was slow. Very disappointing, always had good service before but they seemed very busy this evening but that should not be an excuse.
Friendly, attentive and courteous. Great location and tables set far enough apart not to over hear everyone else's conversation. Good place to have a meeting lunch.
Nice food and good service, staff as ever very friendly. Would recommend it. Good position, easy to find. Lovely menu this month loved the asparagus.
Warm welcome, with efficient staff who ensured we were promptly served. Food was reasonably priced, but menu does not change a lot - been to one Cote - been to them all, but always reliable - you know what you are going to get!
The restaurant was very good over all, but one plate of the lamb that was served was almost inedible, because the fatty ends had been plated onto a single plate. The other orders of lamb were perfect so that this was unfortunate, but it should not happen in a Côte Restaurant.
Great food (apart from an overdone starter), but only negative was the 30 minute wait before our starter arrived, which for a pre-theatre meal meant we felt rushed for the remaining courses.
Fabulous value in their pre-theatre menu - excellent price and food was delicious (plus great choice) It's also good to find a place where you can get a nice glass of wine for under £5 (with some excellent options a little above that). Nice ambiance, excellent service. We were very happy. First time at the Charlotte St venue but we have often enjoyed other Cotes as well.
Went for pre theatre menu which is usually excellent. This time the steak was over cooked. And waiter didn't ask if we were enjoying meal at any point so my companion left hers. It was knocked off bill though.
Steak and Duck were both cold, as well as the waitress removing plates whilst one of my clients was still eating. Overall the food was good, but did not make up for the poor service and cold mains.
As usual good value food - but sadly service was slower than usual. We had the right table but waited for an hour before the main course arrived. If it had taken much longer we would have left. When the food eventually arrived it was delicious,
Good value, quality is consistently good. Service is average - attentiveness to detail could be improved (e.g. Don't pack people into tables so close to each other when there are so many open tables to select, refill water glasses without being asked, be quicker with the bill, offer a loyalty programme...).
Good service and rather pleasant food. The wine was great too. A nice evening. I would recommend this restaurant. And of course the location is great.
We arrived at half five and our friends arrived five minutes later. We told the waitress we needed to be out of there by 7pm at the very latest. The waitress was very slow serving both our drinks and the first course. She was even slower with our main course. Three of us had the risotto. This was awful - extremely soggy. We chivvied, and chivvied the whole evening. Our main course eventually came just after 7 p.m. By the time we had eaten it and paid the bill it was past 7.20 p.m. We didn't have time for the dessert which was part of the menu! The manager was apologetic but quite honestly that is not good enough - we had had bad service and an awful main course.
Excellent venue and one of my favourite restaurants. Well looked after; great food and good to be tucked away in a secret area. Will definitely return.
The choice of starters and main dishes on the set menus were very good the food was even better. I didn't think I could manage a sweet but I tried the creme caramel It was fantastic Looking forward to the next visit.
We were very disappointed last night at Cote in Charlotte Street. We were booked at 6.00 and there was only one fishcakes left on the menu. Obviously not enough staff as we had a long wait
Very pleasant afternoon and food was on point. Waiter was very entertaining and all in all a very good experience. Would certainly recommend for business and pleasure.
Meal was Ok and staff pleasant. However the asparagus was poorly prepared and my lunch guest sent hers back. Watercress on salad also slightly yellowish. So OK but I don't think I'd be inclined to return given the number of other choices around. Also no downstairs WC so tricky if you've mobility issues
The menu had a good variety and a good price for lunch menus. The quality of the food was good and value for money, and not expensive but service was very slow
Delicious food for good value! Really enjoyed my pre-theatre menu outside the restaurant, the food was incredible! Definitely worth the price! Will definitely come back.
Good scrambled eggs! Felt like we were forgotten about slightly. We were sitting at the back and I had to keep finding the waitress myself to be served.
Very disappointed with poor service, far below normal Cote standards. Soup was cold, staff were distracted and manager really wasn't gripping the situation. Daughter most disappointed as it was my birthday treat. We'll be off to St Christopher's Place next time we have a special occasion.
Lovely meal and service, very happy evening at Cote on Charlotte Street. Been to many Cote restaurants over the years and the food is always very good.
Lovely restaurant. Staff very helpful and approachable. We had pre theatre set menu. (Great value) Asparagus starter a bit woody at the ends, but generous servings, lovely puds!
Food was great but we were pushed for time. So we warned the waiter and what should have been plenty became a last minute bad tempered dash mostly because the waiter's English was not good and he couldn't understand how we needed to have the bill divvied up. Twice! We arrived for our 1930 perforamce at 1932. Just got in. But severely flustered and overheated.
As always at Cote Brasserie in Charlotte Street, we enjoyed the warm and welcoming atmosphere, the pleasant service and the range of choice on the menu. Having selected diffferent meals the three of us voted each delicious.
Good attentive service. Table was ready. My steak was a bit tough. But everything else good. I was given a chocolate cake for my birthday.
Kept waiting for 10 minutes for a booked table but food, wine and service were all good. Will be going again very soon, one of my favourite places in a great location.
Service was not fast, otherwise it was good. Rather generous portions compared to cote I LeamingtonSpa. Some waiters could do more with a customer service training
Service was friendly but a little slow,so we had to forgo desserts in order to get to the theatre in time.Food was very good & also looked very appealing.Seafood linguine was amazing.
Good menu choices, well cooked, gluten free no problem . busy midweek lunchtime so go early to beat the rush and draw out meal if you need to get to a show
Food very good and service pleasant although we got a bit forgotten when we were the only table left away from the main part of the restaurant!
The good is always Good and a varied menu. a good location and easy to find. loved the fish choice went down well with chilled white wine that evening.
Great food and fantastic value. Service was very slow for main course, especially as it's a pre-theatre menu and we were going to the theatre!
They tried putting us upstairs where no other diners were, even though there were loads of empty tables in the main dining area downstairs and as for the meal, It was poor and in general the whole experience was underwhelming to say the least. I think we'll be giving Cote restaurants a miss for the foreseeable future
Very disappointing. Waiter got the order wrong. Abysmally slow service. Waited for ages for main course meals & when they arrived they were cold. Despite telling them repeatedly that we were going to a 7.30pm show, the order was taken at 6.15pm. Mains arrived at 7.15pm - cold - we couldn't finish our meal & arrived very stressed at the Dominion just as the curtains were going up, feeling very stressed & frustrated. It was meant to be part of a lovely evening. In fact, it semi ruined the evening. Venue is nice and food is good value - if served at the right temperature!
Steaks were all good and cooked well, creamed spinach was tasty and desserts were great. It was unfortunate that several items were off the menu and the restaurant space was uncomfortably hot, as otherwise a good meal with good service.
Pre theatre meal - excellent food, friendly service in spite of the restaurant being very busy, early evening menu outstanding value for money in London, highly recommended.
Very good service. Not hurried can sit there for hours chatting with your friends. Food as always well presented and cooked. Prices really reasonable especially the two or three special courses at lunchtime or the pre-theatre menu.
Lovely food at a reasonable price. Good service and nice ambience in a convenient location. Will definitely visit again. Good menu and very reliable. Goods cost/quality ratio.
We have been to this restaurant a few times now and are always happy with the food and the service we will come back again .
The person in charge wasn't very welcoming. The service was slow. The calamari starter arrived long after the other starters and my steak frites was over cooked, not pink at all and was as tough as old boots.
Great côte de beuf offer - can highly recommend this dish which goes at a very fair price. Staff was also nice and location great
