Loved it, we had ribeye steaks and they were cooked to perfection. Great atmosphere and service. Would recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants a meal prior to going to the Dominion theatre.

The food was very good, and the service excellent! The general manager, however, was - as ever - unwelcoming. Her demeanour is glacial - maybe she doesn't like us, maybe that's her default position, but it is not pleasant.

As usual our lunch was tasty and the service exemplary. We were allowed to savour our food and engage in a long conversation without interruptions. This is our favourite place to meet in an area full of food options.

we have eaten at quite a few Brasserie Cote restaurants and Charlotte Street in London today was as all our other Cote experiences have been - good service, good food and good value.

I ordered pepper sauce with my steak and when it arrived there didn't seem to be any. My dining companion then proceeded to pour what she thought was vinaigrette on her salad as it was on the side of her plate. Turns out it was pepper sauce but she ate her salad anyway. I asked for more sauce explaining what had happened and I was charged for 2 lots of pepper sauce! I think there must have been a problem of communication.

I like Cote generally however the service was extremely slow on this occasion and the escalope was not up to usual standards. I was very disappointed on this visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Good food, surroundings etc. Friendly, efficient staff. We've eaten at Cote elsewhere, mainly in Oxford and have always enjoyed the experience there too. We'll always look out for Cote as an option wherever we are.

Lovely little restaurant on a great street. Food was fantastic, and the staff were very attentive. Highly recommend. I think next time I'll order the fish stew which smelled divine from the table behind us!

Great food. Quick efficient service and friendly polite staff. Excellent value for money. We ate from set menu three courses for £13.95. A good place to eat and price included service charge.

My asparagus soup tasted of lemon and my risotto was gloopy. Having said that, my two fellow diners were pleased with their choices of food.

Lovely location and good food. I would have said the food was great if the avocado in my salad was ripe. However, overall a very enjoyable experience. The service was a bit hasty and at times we could not understand what our hostess was saying as she was walking away from the table while speaking with us. We would recommend the restaurant nevertheless for the ambience and flavours of the food.

We had a delicious meal at Cote in Charlotte Street but the service was a little slower than we would have liked. We were going to the theatre and needed to leave the restaurant on time. In the event we made it but it was a bit touch and go!

Very good food at moderate cost, friendly service in comfortable surroundings. We were lucky to get a table for two at the Fitzrovia Cote when the St Martins Lane restaurant could not offer anything. Thanks!

The food was excellent as usual but they appeared to be short of staff so the service was poor. We had to remind them to serve us and later demand the bill. A less honest guest would have walked off without paying

Cote is a good formula. Most of our one course pre theatre lunch choices were very good. My veal chop was a bit grissly in part. Service swift once you approached the staff e.g ordering drinks, getting the bill.

Food, service, value all great. The only reason this didn't get a 6 was that like so many restaurants these days they are obsessed with aircon, otherwise all good

Nice set up and layout of the restaurant, felt quite French! It was great that they had such a variety of food for the Gluten Free menu. The food was tasty, especially the crab mayonnaise for starters. I even got Gluten Free bread with it, which is a rarity these days in restaurants. The risotto was a bit of a let down as it lacked flavour and seasoning but overall it was a nice meal.

Been to Cote branches many times. Food / wine are of consistently decent quality and reasonably priced for central London. However, serving staff can seemingly 'disappear' at times for long periods. I had to go hunting round the restaurant at one point to find anyone.

The restaurant atmosphere is nice, but the portions are really small for the price paid. The food was good, apart from the watercress, that looked just taken out of the ground.

Very poor service at this Cote. Very slow - we waited a long time to be served. Finished plates sat on the table for about 15 minutes - had to ask for them to be cleared. At one point, the manager served the table in front, then looked at our table (with finished plates) - didn't come over to clear or ask if we wanted dessert but left. Appalling service. No one asked if we wanted dessert at all. They eventually cleared 2 plates and left the other one. Asked for the bill and waited 10 minutes for them to come over with a card machine. In the end had to get up and hand them cash to ensure we got to our show in time. We left 1 1/2 hours thinking we would have time for 3 courses (in other Cote restaurants this is plenty of time) - but we just managed 2 courses and had to rush to our show as a result! This was not due to the food (which was lovely - all credit to the chef) but due to the incompetent service and poor management. Do not go if you expect efficient service or have anywhere to be after! Very disappointed.
