Disappointed that you seated my guest at a table when she arrived and then me at another table when I arrived! Sat seperately waiting for each other for 20 mins.
Food fabulous and service excellent. We felt welcome and the choice was amazing with several different menues as we were there on a Saturday and it’s near Christmas.
Very amenable when requesting slight change to menu but a little slow to bring first course and kept apologising - all in all good service and excellent food. Brought bill after 2 courses without asking if we wanted a dessert which was a little unusual but we were having the pre theatre menu so they obviously thought it was time we left!
Reasonably quick food service, however due to layout of restaurant, we were tucked down a little side room and were not frequented enough by waiters.
Excellent food and fantastic treat of a complimentary drink as we went for a special birthday occasion. The only negative was that service was slow and sometimes altogether lacking as the restaurant was drastically understaffed upstairs.
Excellent friendly service in a quieter part of the restaurant. My steak could have been a little warmer, also plate. Overall good experience. Thank you.
6 of us old friends had a very enjoyable meal in the lovely atmosphere of Cote. We shared starters: calamari rings are delicious and perfect for sharing (2 portions) 2 smoked salmon and some olives. Mains were shared salads (Nicoise and chicken) and a risotto. We had a bottle of red and one of white wine for which they provided an ice bucket. The service was friendly and efficient. They provided lots of water for the table served in nice earthenware jugs. Will definitely eat there again.
Staff were friendly and attentive and allowed us to linger over our lunch. It was a lovely occasion and I would certainly recommend it anyone in the future.
Staff inattentive, even the the restaurant was pretty much empty. No butter with toast, and toast was cold by the time I had asked for it and it came. Food average
Choice of food was good but overall would prefer the service in other Côte restaurants. Had lots of bones in the mackerel starter which was disappointing. Staff are always polite but seemed a little disorganised.
The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming . The pre-theatre menu was varied and the quality of the food good. It is Good value for money.
Cote Charlotte Street was excellent as ever. Cote sets the standard that other similar restaurants have to strive towards. Few do it as well as Cote.
Lovely dinner and extremel friendly service. Very good menu choices available. The early dinner 3 courses for £14. 95 very good value. Overall a great place to eat.
Good food and service as always, table at a busy 'junction' but a nice quiet place to chat over dinner, We enjoyed Cote yet again!
Good food, well served and for London reasonable prices. Slightly better value if you get there before 19:00 we were delayed because of train problems.
Fabulous as always!! The food was excellent and is such good value. The staff were extremely convivial and were always on hand when needed. It is one of my favourite places to eat.
Excellent food, excellent service good service. Good atmosphere. Value for money. Was apprehensive after reading other recent reviews . We were a party of four all pensioners and all agreed it was an enjoyable experience.
Cote is such great value and perfect for Londoners after work. I think the Charlotte Street Cote is the best in the city but I haven't tried all the Cotes in London as yet! x
Great ambiance, service very appropriate as always and the food was seasoned and serves to our specific requests. We always have an enjoyable time here and this time was no different.
Very good meal as always. Staff polite, attentive and extremely helpful. Meals arrive in a timely manner and there is never a rush to make you vacate your table for other customers. Wine is also a very reasonable price and good quality.
Had a very enjoyable lunch with friends. Have been to this Cote previously and have always found the staff to be friendly and efficient. Nice buzzy atmosphere and food and wine very good.
Good food good service . Easy location . Great choice of food and drink . Relaxed comfortable atmosphere and really nice modern clean toilets! I would go again
A fantastic meal , well served and a warm welcome ! Thank You . We will be coming again was soon as possible. Well Done
Good value for money restaurant, good food, decent service you know what your getting which is fine great for lunch or pre-theatre dinner. The drinks list could do with more creativity not the greatest wine and non existent cocktail list.
Friendly welcome, brillant food and good service. Glad to see the 2 & 3 set menus were also available at the London restaurants. Great experience.
We had an excellent meal, were looked after by new recruit Zjenia who coped very well. The restaurant missed Lana and Sandra who add a lot to the ambience
Good service and great tasting steak. Ideal before the theatre. Thanks team. Food was prepared efficiently and was not overpriced. All the best for the future.
Brilliant Service and Delicious food as always. the staff were happy to assist with extra requests, and helpfully made recommendations when needed. Great for a working lunch or meeting.
This is like visiting a good restaurant in France, The food is really good, as you would expect from a family restaurant in France. Although it is a chain, it still had the family feel. There were six of us for lunch and each of us commented on how good the food was. We were also very surprised by the economical bill at the end. The wine was typical of French wines that one does not generally see in restaurants in England. A very pleasant experience which we would recommend to anyone near Charlotte street. From service to the bill we could not find a fault, hence the full marks.
Staff not very attentive, hard to get their attention. They appeared to be standing around chatting. One of our dessert orders was not put through so did not all that course together. Waiter putting my chip and pin payment through walked off to meet new diners, I was not offered/given my cardholder receipt.
We love coming here, the food is great ! Quality and tasty. Every occasion we spend it here, we will definitely come back soon !
Disappointing. Poor service, not up to usual Cote standard. Disappointing. Poor service, not up to usual Cote standard. Disappointing. Poor service, not up to usual Cote standard.
Straightforward light lunch. Allowed to take our time and chat which was perfect. Service a bit slow to start but fine once we had ordered.
There was a slight delay in our order being taken and we weren't asked early on if we'd like a drink. But after that, the guy that served us was really good.
We arrived early for our table but that was not a problem. The staff were courteous and ambience excellent. A very enjoyable pre theatre experience.
Lovely food as always, very busy at lunch time making it quite a noisy place, Sat next to the waiters serving area which made it even more noisy .
The food was very good as was the atmosphere. The staff were friendly, but a little slow due to the fact that they were so busy. Always a good sign.
Very pleasant menu, but extremely slow service. Not enough waiters , poor manager, only her second day, need to sort the staff problem urgently. Love Cote, will go back
extremely slow service and too noisy - request to move table away from noisy stag night ignored and food adequate but not good enough to compensate for the wait and noise.
I had the new autumn menu and it was lovely The only complaint is we waited 15mins before our order was taken and I had to ask for our complimentary kir royale drinks at the end of the meal
Hi I didn't attend this event -I booked it for my boss and some overseas visitors. Feedback was positive and all enjoyed their time spent at COTE Would definitely book again
Food was good. However by 9.30 pm there was no toilet paper left in the ladies toilets! A meal, however good, can be spoilt by an unpleasant experience in the Ladies afterwards, and I'm surprised that a restaurant of the quality of Cote Brasserie doesn't have regular checks of the facilities.
Excellent food and service as always! Had the pre-theatre menu which is super value and enjoyed some nice wine as well. Very enjoyable evening before the cinema.
Service was dire, totally unexpected as I am a frequent diner at Cote restaurants. Manager seemed preoccupied talking to staff, on the till and ignoring queues. Drinks were wrong when they eventually arrived, food was lovely when it was served?!
Friendly, efficient service, but rather a long wait for our main course. I have been here quite a few times before and the food is always good.
Staff was great as always - food was served quickly, tasty and reasonably priced. It can get a bit too noise especially towards the back, so if you want a quiet lunch stick to the tables at the front. ...
Busy popular restaurant. Overall an enjoyable experience. It's not haute cuisine but the food is good and didn't disappoint. Would recommend for lunch or pre theatre dinner.
A convivial atmosphere with attentive yet unobtrusive service. The menu is interesting with a good choice of tasty dishes, catering also for vegetarians. Dining here is always a relaxed and enjoyable experience.
The worst experience ever. The free wine bottle is a total scam. Woefully understaffed. Don’t ever go there! Bad place. All lies. I would acid if at all costs.
Fine on arrival and shown to a table. 15 minutes later and not even water brought along let alone any drink order taken. Once the attention of a server was obtained the drinks and food arrived in good order, though the soup was on the warm side of being hot. Would I eat here again, I doubt it as two other tables of diners were likewise treated even to the point of one table about to walk out the service being so poor.
