The food here is always excellent. This is one of our favourite Cote restaurants in London. The pre theatre meal is always wonderful with good service.
Delightful informal setting serving an unhurried breakfast, probably the best in town. The ‘formule’ choices of set breakfast were a departure from the routine full English. Highly recommended
It was rather noisy and the service was VERY slow. We waited over an hour for our main course, so decided not to bother with dessert.
Great tasty food, standard for cote. Nice table and good service throughly. Nothing to fault really. Maybe just a bit pricey for the food but nothing too crazy
Not enough time to enjoy pre theatre menu. We had to rush as service was slow and had no time for dessert. Potato gratin side was tiny not worth the money.
Very nice restaurant on a popular street. Friendly and very god service. Very good tasting staters and main. Our two children were happy as well.
The food and service were both very good. The staff were friendly and we enjoyed a delicious meal. Cote has never disappointed us. Good range of choices on the gluten free menu.
Great food and ambience. What let us down was how slowly the mains came out. We didn’t receive them as our starters weren’t cleared as quickly as usual.
I am a big fan of Cote and this was no different. The food was great and the service even better as we were in a rush. I highly recommend.
Fantastic service from the moment we walked in. Gave us table options and then as it was a birthday got a round of bubbly on the house with huge smiles and birthday wishes from our waiters. Delicious food and took good care of our two eaters with dietary requirements. All round Lovely evening. Thanks!
My husband dined here with a friend and has commented that compared to other Coté restaurants, his food was disappointing - the steak was tough. Service was bellow par as well - or example, no complimentary water was offered.
Very good food at a reasonable price on the set menu with a good choice of dishes. The service was friendly, helpful and quick. Overall a most enjoyable lunch.
Overall the experience was fine but the service was slow. The main course of haddock could have better however the desert was lovely. The table was in a good position for quiet business lunch.
excellent value food. Good atmosphere and helpful staff. Plenty of choice in menu with specials as well. Well paced. Had a very enjoyable meal. Would recommend.
I am lactose intolerant and said I couldn’t take the soup because it had milk or cream but I was not then warned about the celeriac pork loin which also had a cream based sauce nor the cream / cream in the mashed potato. Several dishes went back. None of these dishes were flagged up on the menu as having cream / milk.
Convenient for meeting up with friends in London. Lacked a bit in atmosphere and service and the food was not quite as well prepared as at our local Cote in Chelmsford which is excellent. Nonetheless a good experience.
Lovely service and really considerate, super nice food too and great value for money - it's one of my go-to places as I work nearby for a nice meal, which is very rare for a chain!
As always very good service and food at Cote's Charlotte Street restaurant. I visit fairly regularly and booked table for six to celebrate one of my staff's 50th birthday. Thank you for looking after us all so well and for the complimentary drink too! See you soon.
The food was delicious, as it always is, but what really made it special was the absolutely excellent service, which was cheerful, prompt, efficient and friendly.
We went to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. After signing up to Cote's newsletter I got a free bottle of wine so I thought why not use it. The food was delicious and service was nice! I will definitely visit again.
Pleasant early meal before opening of new musical Bat Out of Hell at the Dominion, just over a quarter of a mile away. That's one of the great things - you can have a meal any time you want. In fact, it'seven better when the place is relatively quiet. Relaxing and unhurried, good food, reasonably priced, and agreeable staff. Recommended.
The Tuna Nicoise salad was completely dominated by peppers. I absolutely hate peppers so this ruined it for me - I've never seen peppers on a Nicoise salad before so didn't realise (I acknowledge they are on the menu though). There was also not enough dressing and I asked for me but was just given olive oil & basalmic vinegar which was strong contrast to the mustard dressing already on the salad. Service was nice but not overly attentive. We requested an outdoor table and this was not accommodated.
Enjoyable evening. Seemed a bit short staffed - we were sat in an alcove and had to wait for service a long time. My Fish had been left under the lamps for too long and had gone hard on top. Otherwise all ok but a little down on normal quality.
Arrived in a very hot April morning for breakfast and the staff couldn’t have been more attentive. After a short wait they found us a lovely outside table at our request followed by a beautifully cooked full breakfast. A full pot of tea per person and fresh orange juice all for £10.95 each. Nothing to fault and would highly recommend.
We enjoyed our lunch at Cote. The April menu looked good at first glance, but out of six people we only had 2 of the starters and 2 of the main courses offered, so perhaps it was not as tempting as I thought. The service was friendly and the ambiance good, once the music was turned off.
Great service but the food was not great. Our mains were not great and one of us had a steak and it didn't taste fresh. they were nice to take it out the bill but not sure that somewhere we will go back to in the future
This has become our pre-theatre dinner venue of choice when going to the Dominion Theatre and this visit did not disappoint. Service was good even as the restaurant became busier after 18:00 and the quality of the food and drink was consistent with previous visits to various branches in London and elsewhere. We rated our overall experience 5 rather than 6 simply because our starters were a little more fridge-cold than we like on this occasion. Highly recommended!
Service was quick and food prepared as requested. Close the theatre so convenient. We were placed in the back of the restaurant so not able to enjoy the view
A very good lunch. Had the fixed price menu, several appealing dishes to choose from. Probably the best of the 'chain' restaurants for menu and food.
Food was good, great variety on the menu. Had an enjoyable experience thanks to our very kind and happy waiter. This review is just for him
Zack who served us today was amazing. We. Will definitely came back. The food as always was delicious. A complement to the chef. Thank you very much.
As ever, a very enjoyable experience dining at Cote Charlotte St. The staff are always welcoming and attentive. The set menu is delicious and great value for money. The restaurant is warm and inviting. I’d recommend it to anyone wishing to meet up with friends to catch up and enjoy good food.
Great food and drinks and lovely choices on lunch menu. Very cordial service by very pleasant wait staff. We will be returning again to Cote Brasserie soon.
Excellent food and service as always. I'm always happy to go to Cote Brasserie. The Pain perdu was a superb desert on the specials menu.
A very enjoyable meal with good service. The staff were very good as we were running a bit late for the theatre so they speeded up the food service
Great staff. Great food. Great atmosphere. French onion soup was as good as always. Fillet steak melted in the mouth. Chocolate fondant was to die for. Sancerre Rose was very drinkable. Noting to fault. Thank you, as always, Cote.
4 of us booked for breakfast. It was lovely, the ingredients were fresh and cooked to perfection and very reasonably priced. I’d would highly recommend Cote Brasserie and will be returning soon.
The food was fantastic and very enjoyable. Arrived quickly. The personal service seemed quite slow - our drinks took a while, a while to get the bill etc.
Utterly perfect. Wonderful and cheerful service and outstanding cuisine. Best steak I can remember and a delicious tarte au citron, all finished off elegantly with fresh mint tea.
We booked our table on line expecting to take advantage of the set menu. When we arrived we were told it did not apply on bank holidays. We said there was no indication of this on the web site and the manager came over and agreed to let us have the set menu whilst at the same time emphasizing that it shouldn't be available. This made us feel like 2nd class citizens as he was doing us such a massive favour. The food was lovely as always but when i spend £85 on a meal i don't expect to be made to feel guilty about which menu i choose. You need to make sure your web site is clear to avoid embarrassment or confusion.
Excellent location food was delicious Great Staff .i would defenetly go back to this place. I can only recommend this restaurant . A Great start for a wonderfull evening.
Friendly and efficient Staff, Good food, nice venue, would come back again next time in Britain and London, Loved THE offer but bad wine was a drawback.
The food and the service was excellent as always. You cannot go wrong by choosing a Cote to eat at and my particular favourite has always been the Cote in Charlotte St.
Great food, excellent pricing, superb service and very friendly & very engaged manager. Great value and service with a smile - highly recommended, highly appreciated.
I visit this restaurant fairly regularly and as always receive good service, well cooked food and decent atmosphere ... would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere decent to eat with friends or family ... good value for money too
This branch of Cote continues to keep standards quite high. The food is generally pretty good quality and well prepared while the staff are friendly and helpful, if occasionally forgetful when it gets busy.
Intimate-style restaurant (building/layout) which offered an efficient and quick service, which was what I needed at the time. A tasty breakfast, which offered good value for money.
Good food and service by the staff despite the previous night's burglary of all the spirits and some of the wine. Well up to the standards of my usual Cote in Muswell Hill.
Good food, well priced in a cosy atmosphere. Experienced staff managed everything well, even an erroneous fire alarm. Lunch menu always good value leads in to the wider dinner menu.
Good food, good service, good gluten free menu. But just accept my pisitive comments please don’t make word count demands on the happy customer - thanks.
