Good food, sensibly priced. Pleasant service. Enjoyed the whole meal. Have visited various Cotes and in the vast majority of cases it has been very good value.

I have had many breakfasts at this place and the Formule 1 is normally really delicious. But his time the poached eggs arrived cold on a piece of rye toast which must have been toasted a couple of days before: rock hard and not good for my teeth. I sent the plate back which was the only thing that was hot. I was then served with a better hot breakfast. However the chef prepares the poached eggs and toast in a relatively quiet breakfast restaurant should be looked at.

Excellent breakfast and good coffee. The staff were very charming. I'd certainly come again.

Popular restaurant during lunch, lovely main.. downside, slow service and cold starter i ordered the pork and egg croquet. I had to ask for the bill 3 times and I understand it being busy but pay attention to customers who sit outside. I therefore didn't want to pay gratuity service which I felt obliged to pay!

We visit your restaurant several times each visit we make to london ... three months each year. This visit had some challenges with our server. He was pleasant enough, but he either had difficulty hearing or with language. It was very difficult to communicate our choices to him. Towards the end of our meal, we had to hail him in order to be provided with the dessert menu we had requested. Our food was well-prepared, as usual, but service needed improvement.

The food was up to the usual high standard. Service was generally helpful and pleasant but on occasions was not very attentive and a bit casual. What I personally found least pleasant was the noise level, which on occasions made it difficult for me to hear the two people across the table from me. I've lunched at Charlotte Street several times, and the noise had never been an issue before. We were unlucky to have loud people at nearby tables. It would also help if there were soft furnishings to mitigate/absorb the noise.

By their own admission, service was not great today. Slow and inaccurate. Things missing from order, things delivered that weren't ordered. Not their best day. Am sure they are better than this - as their apology showed that they hadn't met their own standards.

Good food good service and good value for the meal

Always a bit noisy at this very busy restaurant. I wish they'd open up the upstairs restaurant more. It is so much more quiet. The service is excellent and the food arrives hot and with a smile.

I love eating here on my own. The management allows you to sit where you like and doesn't squeeze you into a dark corner just because you are dining alone.

Having eaten here many times I love coming back and have by now invited most of my friends and colleagues to this place. We all love the staff and of course the Portuguese Maitre d'.

Not too busy and had a quiet table at the back. Food and service were good. This survey, however, arrived while I was still in the restaurant so not great timing!

Food was awful for the first time ever - we were all very disappointed, however the service was great.

We ate from the fixed price Menu Prestige,, which was good value. Most of the food was good but there were some niggles with the service. One of our party arrived early and was sat at a table but completely ignored for 15 minutes without even an offer of a drink. Although we had eaten from the fixed price menu, we were not offered this menu again for choosing desserts, and were given only the more expensive standard menu until we asked explicitly for the cheaper one. The desserts were then very slow arriving, and only came when prompted - the ice cream was largely melted and had clearly been standing for some time.

Great food and a good ambience. Only issue was with getting served initially, and they made an error on our bill, though they did correct it when we pointed it out.

Never been to this venue before but it didn't disappoint. We had a superb breakfast and service was brilliant. Definitely recommend

We often come to this branch of Brass Cote at Charlotte Street, pleasant staff, very good cook, cosy yet spacious and airy restaurant area, great location especially for pre theatre. Today it did not disappoint.

Was a wonderful meal - would recommend and go back again

Eating alone at this restaurant is a pleasure. There are plenty of tables especially at the front of the restaurant or even outside where you can have a lovely meal on your own. The maitre d' is always polite and has a friendly chat and the rest of the waiting staff are super friendly and very efficient. The set meal before 7 pm is good value for money and they have excellent chefs in the kitchen including breakfasts.

We were in a very quiet room as requested. Perfect. At a previous visit to a Cote restaurant, we had a poor quality and overpriced lobster. This time, we chose simpler dishes (croque monsieur and fish cake) which were fine. The service at both restaurants was excellent.

Have been a regular visitor to Cote in Charlotte street. Last night the food was good and the waiter. However, very uncomfortable on a hot night. No air conditioning, no fans. Surely fans in the ceiling would be easy to install. While this very hot weather is unusual, summer heat is not. Make your restaurants more comfortable please.

As usual the lovely Portuguese Maitre d' welcomed us with our usual Kier Royale and a beautiful smile and our favourite table by the window. The restaurant was very busy even at such an early evening time. But the waitress was not flustered and served us with polite cheerfulness. We'll be back!
