Wonderful experience as always when I dine at Cote Restaurants. They all have the same high standards and the food is always delicious and the service is excellent
Excellent service. Very attentive. The food was good and well presented. One of the few restaurant where you are not to feel guilty when asking for tap water !!!! Certainly worth another visit.
They reserved us a really bad table in a very hot part of the restaurant. They did change it to a take they had left free for walk in customers.
Service very good. Delicious bottle of Bergerac. Set menu very tasty pea risotto and also duck pate. Baguette not as fresh as it could have been but chicken and avocado tasty.
Food was excellent and the service very good. Our waiter made a point of asking if we were going to the theatre and made sure our order was taken promptly and the food arrived very quickly. Only down side of this particular Cote is that it is a series of small rooms. Our table for 6 was at the end of a narrow room and this was a little squashed for us. It also made the waiters task of serving and clearing very difficult for him. Hovever this didn't spoil our overall enjoyment.
went to this restaurant to celebrate with our friends from Germany , my starter of chicken liver parfait was served in a jar straight from the fridge so it was impossible to spread. 2 of the main courses were rib-eye steaks which were served burnt and very dry, when we complained all they said was "thank you for your feedback".
Went for a pre theatre dinner. We sat upstairs which was good as it was quieter and we could all talk. Food very good value off the pre theatre menu , portions good size and food very good. Our waiter was sweet although his English could have been a bit better. Would definitely go back.
We had a very enjoyable meal before our theatre trip. My friend had the mackerel starter which she said was delicious but contained several large fish bones. The manager apologised and didn't charge for our drinks.
I was pretty disappointed. We had a pre theatre menu meal booked and it too so long to get the main course (1hour 40) that we ended up having to leave before my friend could get the dessert they'd ordered. Lots of people around us were asking where food was, if they could order as they'd been waiting .. if you're going to offer a speedy set menu it needs to be speedy!
Every Cote Brasserie offers good food, pleasantly served and at an affordable price. Your Charlotte Street branch is no exception and I would certainly go back.
At 5.30 on a Saturday night they had already run out of the escalope. This did not seem right. Apart from that we had a good time with very pleasant waiting staff. They were great
Good food. Good service. Good price. What's not to like. Waitress was delightful and very helpful. Had a very pleasant pre theatre dinner. Would definitely return.
the front of the restaunt is nice. However, we were led to our table that is essentially a narrow dark corridor. There were tables at the front that were empty, but they didn't want us to sit there. We'd booked on the loyalty offer otherwise probably would have gone elsewhere. However, the food was good. Service - a bit forgotten about being around the back. Noticed one of the other tables actually got up to find a waiter for the bill.
I always enjoy the Cotes menu & food. Today they obligingly gave me my tuna nicoise minus raw onions as requested. Only downside was that service was slightly slow but they had warned us that the restaurant was extremely busy when we arrived.
Pleasant restaurant. Pre theatre service could have been a little more attentive to the time constraints of diners. That way the experience could have been more relaxed.
Food was good. Set menu offered a good choice and good value. Service could be better- we had to ask twice for the water to be brought, the condiments we asked for when they were offered were never brought, and we had to wait 30 minutes for desert, which was only brought after we had asked again for it.
Service slow but meal ok when arrived. Nearly late for theatre. Manager abrupt. Ladies toilet blocked and towel bin overflowing. Wished had withdrawn service charge.
Excellent ambience, great food and service conveniently at the centre of the West End. If going to Paris for lunch is too time consuming then this is the next best thing!
All good, although service a little slow even though restaurant less than half full. Food good and staff pleasant and helpful. Look forward to returning. Good location.
Same consistent standard as other Cotes I have visited in London and Birmingham. Excellent value 2 course prix fixe lunch. As I'd booked, we had a pleasant table near the windows. Attentive and courteous service.
Very enjoyable. Great service, good food. Good value pre-theatre menu. Starters could have been better, but rest was good. Would visit again. Easy to book online.
Pre theatre dinner here was ideal. Tasty and not expensive and not too much food. Good value. Shifts change at 5 I think so it takes a while to connect with the new shift !
Excellent Food - Excellent Service - Excellent Value. Can't really say anymore!!! Have been to several of their restaurants, but so far our favourite is in Charlotte Street, London :-)
The food was tasty and reasonable value but the service was a bit surly. It didn't ruin the meal but nice service would have been preferable.
This chain is great value, we have been there before, and the pre-theatre menu offers good choices. However, they let themselves down the evening we went (8 April). Despite making a 5.45pm reservation and ordering the pre-theatre menu, the delivery of the food slowed down and by the time the dessert came, at the point when we were about to give up and pay and go, my husband had 5 minutes to gulp it down and we had no time for coffee. We had to rush to the theatre and got there just in time for curtain up at 7.30. They did not charge for the dessert (ie £1.45 knocked off the bill) but it made for a stressful end to the meal that could have been avoided.
Good value food and pleasant restaurant. Steak frites was very enjoyable and very good choice on the lunch and pre theatre menu across starters and main course.
Food was a bit cold, but very good experience in general. Staff were nice and the menu was good. The free water was a nice touch
Excellent manager (Denis) and highly professional, delightful waiting staff. Food, good quality, well cooked and nicely presented and served. Very good value. Can't recommend it highly enough.
It was a good meal but disappointing that having booked as part of a special offer, the staff were unaware of the offer and it took 2 or 3 attempts to ensure that me and my guests were included.
Very nice, good service. Good easy for pre theatre dinners with a simple set menu. Good location on Charlotte street in a busy and buzzing area.
We were given a very nice quiet table, had good food and an enjoyable meal. I particularly appreciate the gluten free menu and the reliability of having gluten free food without fuss.
Restaurant food, staff & vibe absolutely lovely. Our voucher for the free wine never came and still hasn't come, through the rewards on the website. Chef burnt my starter so I had to change my dish, but that was fine and the staff were super sweet and helpful.
As it was a 6:30 booking It was packed & noisy & the aircon didn't work, otherwise fine tho there were no croutons in my blood orange salad, but luckily I don't like them
Always good food and efficient service at a reasonable price. Excellent if you are going to the theatre or a concert. They don't seem to hassle you or want to speed you along as many London restaurants do these days!
Very good food and polite staff at reasonable prices. Easy to book and good atmosphere. Plenty of room to have a meeting during lunch and conversation
Excellent as always. Best french food in the area. Well cooked, hot and well presented. The staff are also attentive and eager to help with everything
The service was good - the Italian waitress very helpful and pleasant. The food was fine, the coffee came tepid - the waitress changed it.
Fantastic. Great food and service. Will be back. The set lunch menu was really good value. Decent portions - I had a salad and cottage pie - this was the best I have ever had!
We had a very enjoyable meal. The service was very good. The pre-theatre menu was very reasonably priced. Overall a very good experience. I would recommend Cote Brasserie to everyone.
Good food and friendly service in a relaxed atmosphere. Lovely varied menu and we weren't rushed as is so often the case in some places. Great location.
Front of house, very welcoming; waitress very efficient and helpful; brilliant location just a few minutes from the theatre; general ambience very friendly; overall a most enjoyable experience
Waitress was excellent, very friendly and efficient. She was Ukrainian. Food was good but had mussels as starter and linguine which had same sauce which was minimql. But overall very good experience.
We use Cote regularly for business lunches. The service is always Excellent and good food is a good standard. Set lunch menu is excellent value
Great location and wonderful (European) staff. Best whitebait I've ever had. The French cottage pie on the specials menu was tasty too. I would go again.
The food was lovely and is very good value. Staff are friendly and attentive. I would definitively recommend Cote. The ambiance is relaxed, clean and modern.
Slow service to start as very busy, had to wait a while for drinks order to be taken but apologies given. Apart from that excellent all round,no t made to feel we had to leave and spent all afternoon there. Apple crumble luke warm but not really a problem
The stafff were very welcoming and helpful. We had an excellent pre-theatre supper which was just what we wanted. We were then in good time for the show at the Dominion Theatre at 7.30 p.m. Thank you to all involved.
Excellent location - 5 mins from Tottenham Court Road. Welcoming and efficient staff. Fantastic choice of food, we especially liked the pre-theatre menu. Never used this chain before, we are newly converted!
Excellent food, service and surroundings. Good value for money. We shall go there again and try some other items on the extensive and numerous menus.
Excellent staff, very attentive. Food up to the usual Cote standard which once again is excellent. They always have such a great range of dishes on the menu and the pre-theatre menu is exceptionally good value. This is a good venue if you are going to the Dominion Theatre as its less than 5 minutes walk away and yet in a very buzzy street full of bars and cafes and people enjoying themselves. Highly recommend it.
