Had a fab meal, the food was outstanding and the service was excellent overall a great experience, would certainly recommend this to anyone looking for a nice meal and service in cardiff !!

It was a relaxing and enjoyable environment with good food and good service which made Father's Day all the more enjoyable with 3 Generations of my Family together.

Our waiter was great. Engaged with us. The food was amazing the atmosphere was great apart from when 3 drunk ladies came in thankfully just as we were leaving. Overall great place. Will be going again.

Finished starter before they brought requested crudiment - then spilt a dirty plate down the back of my chair over my clothes - no complimentary action offered- spilt liquid over a fellow guest

Excellent as always good staff, nice atmosphere and food and wine served with style.Never disappoints.I tend to look for a cote when visiting any city.

We enjoyed our meal and the service was pleasant and efficient,Due to the high level of noise we had difficulty to hear other speak.This was a pity

This is always my go to restaurant for taking clients to because I know it is a reliable venue for good food and excellent service.

It was nice to be Greeted on arrival and shown to our Table. Wide variety on the Menu and some really different choices. Complimentary Water was a nice surprise. Our Waiter was very polite and attentive. Our Food was hot and beautifully presented. Wines were reasonably priced and nice choices.

Very ambient atmosphere. Good food. Great service. Our friends were 15 minutes late arriving and we weren’t made to feel awkward in any way. This was our second visit and we will definitely go again. Would highly recommend.

Had a wonderful meal, waiters & waitresses extremely helpful and happy which is nice to see, drinks were a bit slow but then it was very busy due to the amount of people in Cardiff for the Jay Z & Beyoncé show overall would definitely recommend :)

Fairly quiet when we visited at lunchtime. We both had the 2 course set menu which was tasty and good value for money. Service was very good.

Wonderfully friendly staff. So helpful regarding gluten free menu- had marked on all the options out of the Early Evening set menu which was a lovely touch

Food was very good. The service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere in the restaurant was good with it being quite full there was a pleasant 'buzz' about the place.

We visited as a group of four. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Food was of good quality. One of our group found his soup was somewhat over-seasoned with pepper, but otherwise we found nothing to criticise!

Tables far to small for two people and to close, food was fair, price for drinks for to expensive to be charged £3.80 for a 330 ml of Kronenberg is a bit of a rip off will not be coming back

Lovely place, good and attentive staff, the food was beautifully cooked and presented. The calamari starter was particularly good. Didn’t feel at all rushed. Good value for money. Will definitely go back.

I am a returning customer to Cote as it is very close to my place of work and highly convenient for business lunches. Unfortunately on this occasion I had the Calamari to start and found the portion far too large (I realise most people would love extra but I felt myself obliged to eat a but more than I usually would for a starter for fear of offending my guest and the chef). The main course of sirloin steak was very tough. The waiter was very apologetic and as a good will gesture the coffees and sides ordered were credited from the bill which I thought was sufficient to make up for it. Overall slightly disappointed as the food is usually of very high standard and spot on but I will return and won't let this put me off.

Enjoyable lunch food excellent and service felt we had all day so could relax and no pestering laid back but efficient good recommendation for our wine chosen

Lovely food and wine, and the service was first class. Plenty of choice on the menu both for dining and drinking. Would highly recommend and definitely will be visiting again.

We were seated straight away on a lovely table which was great. The restaurant wasn’t busy and we had to wait a very long time for the food. When the food arrived our fritters were cold so were our peas, by then we were in a hurry so didn’t ask to send them back. Our bill was originally wrong and we had to wait ages for someone to come and bring us the card machine when I asked twice and there were many members of staff around. I am quite disappointed because I visit Cote on regular basis in Bristol and I’ve never been left disappointed before. The meal in Cardiff was a treat for my friend’s birthday booked by me.

Lovely food but disapointed with the service. Had to ask a waiter for wine, took a longtime to serve and forgot a sauce on one of the meals.

Excellent food and wine, would recommend the fillet steak and the steak tartare. Staff are friendly, accommodating and professional. Pleasant surroundings and atmosphere. Great Tuesday evening venue.

Excellent service, lovely food and nice atmosphere. The set menu option is particularly good value for money. We will definitely return to try some other options on the menu.

Very good food and service. The only negative comment is about the main entrance door off the street, which - of necessity - kept opening and closing as customers entered of left. This created significant cold air draughts for those of us sitting with our backs to the door.

First class service. Excellent varied menu at a reasonable cost. Our party of 3 had duck, cod and chicken as main courses and all meals were superb. Will definitely be visiting Cote again.

The food was ok. The mussel starter I had was a very small portion but tasty. I had ribeye steak which was a bit gristly. The wine was nice and so was the pudding. Friendly helpful staff - it was just the food that was a bit of a let down this time. We opted for the more expensive set menu and it wasn’t as good as the cheaper one we usually have so not such good value.

We were very pleased with our pre-concert lunch. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. The timeliness of the meal was just right and the quality, presentation and quantity of our lunch was perfect for us. All in all, just what we were looking for. Absolutely no faults to find with this restaurant .

Delicious traditional french cuisine delivered with really friendly service amongst a warm and welcoming decor. Fantastic steak frites, luscious onion soup and smooth chocolate mousse. Cater well for children.

Very Good prompt service. The waiter was very friendly and engaging with us. The food was also very enjoyable. Reasonably priced and no issues at all.

Excellent food and service. Wife left mobile phone on the table but one waiter ran after us outside in the street to bring her the phone. Visited before and has been excellent each time.

This was our first time to Cote , it's a lovely restaurant, staff were pleasant and all our meals were excellent and very tasty. My only gripe was that in a similar restaurant around the corner they give you free bread and butter while waiting for your meal perhaps you could give this some thought. Would definitely recommend and would return.

We had great service, the staff were really helpful, and the food was delicious! And if you like creme brulee, then their's is absolutely superb!

The food and service was excellent. One of our party was gluten & dairy free and was looked after very well. The only slight criticism we had was that the side orders were quite expensive for the size we received.

We had a lovely meal, mostly. When we raised a problem with the steak being a bit chewy but acceptable (given we had a deadline - tickets for St David's Hall) - we had a very good response. The manager came over to offer complimentary desserts and coffees. As we were on a deadline, we accepted coffee but were very pleased to have the cost of those AND two large glasses of wine, removed from the bill! Thank you Cote!
