Tables too close together. Ordered fish pie which had a lovely flavour but the sauce was very runny & the leeks were crunchy. Told the waitress who handled it very well & offered free desserts

Great food, good service, but sitting near the back of Cote Canterbury there was a howling draught coming under the back service door - my legs were freezing. So, busy there were no other seats available.

The menu was very limited and not the usual choice when we have been before which was a pity as my two friends had not been to the restaurant before.

We had an excellent lunch today and the service was efficient and friendly. We were a party of four and chose mains and desserts from the a la carte menu. There was a set Christmas menu too. My creme brûlée was one of the best I’ve tasted! There was a warm and friendly ambiance in the busy restaurant which made the meal with our friends very enjoyable.

Excellent service. The food was well presented and generally enjoyable. The dessert was really nice. I am just adding a few words to meet the silly target set by this website.

Service, food and atmosphere very good. They were welcoming and its was very festive. The young waitress knew the menu and the wine list and what she recommended was very good. The house red was excellent.

Good, tasty and attractively presented food and served promptly without fuss. Only slight criticism, very noisy from other tables but it was the season of festive good cheer.

As usual very good food and helpful staff, but please sort out the constant problem with the disabled toilet - it's enough to put me off going again in the near future!

A typical Cote Brasserie meal - well-priced, tasty and with friendly service. The ambience in the Canterbury branch is modern and comfortable. Certainly a good place for lunch out.

AS FOUND PREVIOUSLY THE STAIRS TO THE TOILETS ARE A HAZARD AND A PROBLEM FOR THOSE WITH ORTHOPAEDIC CONDITIONS = 2 OUT OF THE 7 IN THE PARTY. THE STAFF ARE SERVICE STANDARD EXCELLENT BUT DID MAKE A MISTAKE OF CHARGING US FOR 2 EXTRA BOTTLES OF WINE THAN WE DRANK! NOT A GOOD SIGN HAVING TO CHALLENGE THEM AT CHECKOUT. FOOD WAS SORT OF OK: THE MUSHROOM BRIOCHE WAS MADE UP OF BUTTON MUSHROOMS AND M-SOUP AND NOTHING MORE EXCITING THAN THAT - WHERE ARE THE WILD ONES? THE SEA BREAM WAS SMALL BUT OTHERWISE OK. DESPITE THESE COMMENTS WE WILL RETURN SOON - THE AMBIENCE IS GOOD AND AKIN TO THE 'FRENCH' EXPERIENCE OF OUR TRAVELS SO KEEP IT UP FOR US FRANCOPHILES!

Very efficient, good and friendly service etc, but the plates and food for the main course could have been a little hotter, also ground floor WC out of action - alternative of two flights of steep stairs too much for some people

A very nice meal, although I wish the tables were wider apart from each other as it can get very noisy and I do not always like to listen in on other people's conversation, plus I find it awkward to chat to my others.

Superb service, from the friendly greeting on our arrival to the professional waiters and waitresses. All the food we ordered was delicious, especially the French onion soup, the chicken parfait and the pork belly. The prices are mid-range. I would definitely recommended the Canterbury restaurant and plan to return.

Although it was extremely busy the staff as usual were attentive, helpful and friendly. There was a good menu choice with the December specials available as well as the usual menu and both represent good value for money. The food as usual was excellent.

Food was absolutely delicious, service was slow and perfunctory. Great place to eat in Canterbury city centre, but spoiled by disinterested staff. A rather impersonal restaurant with little atmosphere.

Taking into account the weather, pretty cold. Was sat by the entrance door which had only a curtain to stop the wind coming in. With the number of guest passing in & out a constant chill hit us. Not the best place to sit so not my best experience, to be honest!

This was graduation day in Canterbury, so presumably had been busy before we arrived at 3.40/3.45 for our previously booked table. Our drinks arrived on time and the waiter was good and patient. We ordered our lunch all mains with 1 starter, which I asked to arrive all together. Strangely my starter arrived after everyone had received their mains (I had to ask them where my starter was). Previously they attempted (twice) to give us someone else's meal. They waitress was terse to say the least! We had choices from the 2 and 3 course menus which I will say was very good value. The chocolate pot dessert was not good. I paid for 5 adults and 1 child and with drinks came to around £120, which I thought was good value.

We always get great service, great food and a great atmosphere. We absolutely love coming here. It's our restaurant of choice. We also love that they have their core menu but specials every month so there is always varied choice for everyone.

Outstanding service. Allowed the table to bring our own celebration cake in to have. Food was cold, however the staff were very responsive and generous in giving the dish complimentary. The whole table enjoyed the evening very much. Thank you. Will definitely recommend Cote to my family and friends.

The food and service were very good but, through no fault of the restaurant's, there was an event in the street that evening which was extremely loud! However, that would certainly not put me off coming to the restaurant in the future.

We always enjoy our visit to cote brasserie, but the last visit was very disappointing that the half roast chicken and tarts au Citroen was not available. This limited the choice of what we could have to eat and we had to have steak that’s more expensive

On the evening I visited the Restaurant with my granddaughter there were problems with the alarm system. We ordered our courses for the set menu, wine. garlic bread and olives. We were served the bread, olives, wine and our starter but they were unable to offer a cooked main course. I enquired what cold courses they could offer and when we ordered I advised we were now short of time and had to leave at 19.10 at the latest. After waiting 10 mins the main course still had not been served so I advised them we would have no time to eat this so cancelled our order. When I went to settle the bill the member of staff was very apologetic and I was advised there would be no charge due to the problems. It was not the experience I wanted, as the meal & visit to the theatre were my granddaughter's Christmas present, but it would not deter me from returning. A. Kiddell

Superb, authentic French cuisine with excellent service. The brasserie is in the heart of old Catnterbury so ideal for lunch or a pre-show meal. Reasonably priced with a food selection of wines. Always worth a visit.

It was for my sons 21st and one of the meals was cold and was returned 3 times and in the end where it was so microwaved it was hard and chewy and the potato looked burnt. You took the price of the bill but it ruined our evening due to fact we expected to eat together
