Very nice food - as usual in restaurants these days thumping music intrusive

Absolutely marvelous. We dined there twice this week and whenever we come to canterbury we eat there too.Delicious food and v pleasant staff. We will be back there to celebrate our wedding anniversary onthe 19thof December.

Very good meal although my duck was rather tough. The service was good but unsmiling. Great soup.

We met family for a Sunday Breakfast. We do this fairly regularly. We had a table of 7. Our order for hot drinks was taken whilst we waited for a couple of family members to arrive. Our food order took a further ten minutes to be taken. Unusually slow. Our order was taken, but had to remind our service that we were ordering the formulae breakfast, so juice is included. Felt server was alittle distracted, pleasant, but clearly did not take order down correctly. We then waited a further 15 minutes for our breakfast to arrive. Well some of it. My daughters eggs benedict was cold. So sent back. My husband and I had over cooked poached eggs. When I asked the waiter why eggs were so over cooked. He did offer to retify, but to be honest having waited so long to eat we just decided to leave and continue eating. We were never asked how our meal was? Food not usual standard clearly had been standing for a time. The table next to us were served before us even though sat down a good while after us. Just left feeling disappointed with food and service really. I did tell the server not usual standard for cotes.

The atmosphere was nice and the food was good. The 'formule' breakfast deal is very good value for money, especially for a large group.

Never had a bad experience, although busy, attentive staff & very nice food, well cooked. Pleased I booked as busy lunch service.

The food and service were good, which is why I paid the 12.5% service charge. But I resent this being automatically added to the bill. For this reason alone, neither I nor my family will ever eat here again. In France the custom of automatically adding a service charge is illegal. I hope this will soon be the case in UK.

Our favourite restaurant was awesome again! Perfect way to escape from a miserable Monday afternoon! Fabulous food and incredible value! The staff here are always outstanding- today Alexa and Grace were so impressively professional, friendly and personable- made us feel so welcome! Thank you for another fabulous lunch! Busy service, but the staff were attentive. Food was tasty although the haricot beans in the sea bream course were undercooked. Look forward to our next visit.

This is a ‘chain’ but not. Cote is always impeccable, great food. Perfect steak excellent bisque and great sides. Excellent wine list. Love how staff are proud of their training.

Best thing about eating here is you know that it is reliably good and you can take guests in the knowledge they will find something they like.

We had a double celebration meal for 8 people and nothing was too much trouble for the staff in Canterbury. They were friendly, professional and attentive. We will definitely visit again.

Lovely lunchtime meal at Cote today. Restaurant was very busy which was good, but this did have an impact on the service. Food however, was worth the wait.

We chose mushroom crepe with spinach. Very nice but is needed colour to brighten the dish with maybe a little bread. All inclusive!

Always enjoy Cote. Such a varied menu and a very good vegetarian menu also. The staff are always very pleasant and helpful. Whenever I visit Canterbury this is where I like to eat.

Waitress charming and food excellent as always. We’ve never had a bad meal here. Would have been six stars but we booked in advance and when we arrived were told by the lady manager they could lay up a table in the window or we could go upstairs which is away from the main hub of the restaurant. I would have thought a nice table would have been set aside. We got a better table when I asked for it. Overall excellent though

Good atmosphere and quick service but the chicken seemed to have not cooked properly.

This has become a regular eating place for us. The regular monthly menus served to inspire choice of food on this occasion, plus the offers.

We frequently go to Cote in various places and are always thoroughly satisfied.

Great service, attentive staff and the set lunch menu was very reasonably priced. My only critique was that the steak frites lunch option does not come with any vegetables and mine was not very hot, but everything else was excellent.

Lovely atmosphere, attentive service that’s not intrusive and excellent food.

I like the chain and eat there often. But something is wrong with the Canterbury operation. We had to wait well over an hour for our single course lunches to appear. When they did they were fine and management was duly contrite. But why did it happen in the first place? And why did the same thing happen to a french chap (see TA review) a fortnight before? Cote, you have a process problem in this kitchen.

Excellent service, cheerful attentive staff. Relaxed environment. Amazing food with plenty of choice on the menu. The restaurant even went out of their way to make my husbands birthday extra special. Highly recommend this great place
