A great new year dinnner, great food and excellent service!
Lovely atmosphere. Very good food. Brilliant staff. No complaints whatsoever
Food was great. Wasn't happy with the table we got. Having booked in advance would have expected something better than what we got.
The service wasn't the usual standard, I had to ask twice for the children's menu it took 15 minutes for the staff to locate one for us. I then had to find someone and ask for a children's colouring pack when normally my grandchildren receive them automatically. Eventually our food arrived, however the children's dishes were not what we ordered. No apology was given for this error and we waited a further 20 minutes for the children's correct order to arrive by which time we were finishing ours. Very disappointed.
Great food and atmosphere, catered for 9 of us at short notice.
Love the food, and at reasonable prices too. Large restaurant with plenty of room
A varied and imaginative menu which ever fails to please; great value for money. The December special value menu is real value.
Very good food, always consistently good. Service excellent as usual and the food came up pretty fast. Only slight negative was that my steak could have been a bit hotter.
We love the food and service usually would give 6 stars. Unfortunately the menu was rather poor as a lot of it was unavailable!!! Which was very disappointing as we had friends that had not been here before. Anyway the service was good the waitress opened our champagne and unfortunately it sprayed. All over the floor and table next to us which was ok as no one was sitting there. But when it came to fill our glasses again she had filled the men’s first so there was only a dribble for ours the wife’s. But we did say that’s probably because some of it went on the floor n chairs so she apologised but came over and filled ours up not sure what it was but that was a nice gesture, shouldn’t have had to say anything though should have already suggested when lost some champagne from the bottle. My advise is to ask who would like the refill first and normally ask the ladies before the men. Would still come back but be more aware if not have a full menu!!
Wonderful food as always, attentive staff and lovely atmosphere. Tried something different and wasn't disappointed.highly recommended
Food was good quality with a varied menu but service was lack luster and not in the Christmas spirit we have come to expect from our annual Christmas Eve outing.
Food and Atmosphere good. Service terrible. Time between clearing our main course and serving deserts was very very long. We had to ask for more water 4 times and to pay the bill took four requests.
Fabulous food and excellent service. Unfortunately I experienced a severe gluten reaction, even though I ordered from the gluten free menu. Maybe cross contamination.? Anyway that's why I've only given 4 stars, not 5. The rest of my party thought their food was superb too.
Food was fine. However we did not like the music (canned, too loud), as were with friends and wanted to chat. The previous two occasions we visited Cote we had no music and enjoyed this very much. - felt the place had not been cheapened by noise and also welcomed the fact that we did not have to raise our voices at the table. Thanks for taking into account.
Excellent value and very good staff who were professional at all time, especially alfie
Excellent as usual and the service very good and friendly
Very nice lunch in good atmosphere. Have been often, and will come again
As usual very good service. Starterbrilliant but my wife’s mains, pork belly was 70 percent fat. Waitress just said sorry! She could see the pile of fat on the plate
Perfect all round, very happy with the whole experience, will come again
The usual high standard very attentive staff and nice atmosphere
Superb food, great service, good value. Most delicious chicken and walnut salad I’ve ever had.
Comfortable ambience, a pre Christmas meal delight and excellent service 😊
From start to nearly finish it was great! We were at the the end and start of a service and feel that we were forgotten about at the end of our meal. It was so nearly perfect. Food was brilliant Merry Christmas Mr G Bradford
Great place to meet up with friends. Lovely atmosphere and very good food.
It’s the first time that we have been seated upstairs, which is much better for conversation between more than two people.
Excellent steak (we had the rib-eye, cooked rare), the best we've had at a restaurant in Canterbury. The French onion soup was tasty, too.
Good food, good service, not too frantic or noisy. Would mention though that the ladies' toilet (Canterbury) was out of order, very inconvenient !
The food was absolutely delicious. The service was fast and unintrusive. Good value for money
One of the best meals at Côte. Service, food, drinks and ambience 10/10 It was a busy time and despite that, we were fed and ´watered’ with charm and alacrity. Special mention to the scallops and boudin noir ♥️
We booked a table for twelve. We began to arrive from about 11.30, and the table was already made up. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The food was promptly served up, and it was hot and delicious. The waitresses were all very polite and capable. The ambiance of the table in the main body of the restaurant was great. No problems paying for our bills individually. We came here last year for our Xmas Lunch, and will probably come here again next year.
Really lovely and the exceptionally kind waitress Ayliesha (Sorry If mid spelt ) for it was our 48th Wedding Anniversary Dinner
Faultless restaurant right in the centre of the city. The only problem is the lavatory which is two floors up some very steep steps.
Good food spoiled by being served luke warm. Menus were good value. Overall experience not as good as our usual Cote in Chelmsford, which is excellent.
Feedback from our group Xmas Lunch has been overwhelmingly positive, especially from those who had special requests or needs. Booking and service could not have been more easy, flexible and considerate. The food as ever, was highly praised.
I was with my husband and elderly uncle, both of whom are deaf and wear hearing aids so background noise is a problem. However, our visit was enjoyable, the food was good and the service was excellent. So, we look forward to our next visit.
Waitress was friendly and observant. A very pleasant welcome. Was pleased that there were a few changes on the menu of the day.
This would be an excellent restaurant if the internal layout was improved. One of the most important is the arrival at any restaurant and the seating layout please improve.
Food was amazing, staff was friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was lovely, went there with my girlfriends for lunch had a great time would definitely go again
Cote Brasserie is one of our two top rated lunch venues in the city. Our guests for a pre Christmas lunch today were my sister and her husband, first timers to Cote. One of our menu favourites is the Breton Fish Stew which my wife and I selected and our brother in law followed our recommendation and also selected the stew. My sister chose the Mushroom Risotto. His opinion, "The best fish stew he has ever eaten". Our lunchtime experience was most enjoyable with first class attentive service and, the cherry on the cake, Kir Royales for early Christmas booking. What more can I say? Excellent!
Absolutely first class as always. Despite being very busy pre-christmas the standard of everything was just as we've come to expect.
Excellent in all respects. Tasty food, attentive service and a lovely couple at the next table that we got into conversation with. Good value for money. Will come again.
The venue is split over several floors, and, when one of your party is an octogenarian with less than full mobility, this is an issue. This is especially relevant when the toilets are on the second floor with long staircases. The web-site does not make this clear. Service could perhaps have been a little more prompt, especially when compared with Wokingham two nights previously. Needed to ask for bread and olive oil etc! Egg Benedict - muffin cold, Hollandaise barely warm, egg OK!
Service not as good as I have had in the past in this restaurant. Food not hot - I should imagine it was waiting for collection to bring to our table. Excellent menu choices and prices - we do like Cote Brasserie!
Excellent as always - good food, good service, good atmosphere& good prices -what more could I want!
Amazing experience, lovely service and gorgeous food. Thank you very much.
Lovely food with excellent service. We dined with our friends who hadn’t eaten here before. They were very impressed & will try one in their home town
I arranged to meet. Friends from West Sussex what a disappointment starter was cold the main you guest it was. Cold, and over cooked taking cost of three meals from the bill is not the answer
The service is always wonderful here and the food delicious, so great to have a gluten free menu to make things easy for everyone.
Very good food and service - though the latter did slow down a little after the main course!
Food was fine, but optional tip already on the bill is a disgrace. Don’t tell your customers to ask to take it off the bill, shouldn’t be part of the bill. Unlikely to return based on this appalling fact.
