As usual, Cote met all our expectations. Excellent food, good service and at a reasonable price.

We had a lovely breakfast at Côte Brasserie in Canterbury; fantastic food with superb service from our dear waitress and manager who lovingly put some white roses out for our marriage party. The team really made us feel special and very much welcomed. I would recommend to everyone and anyone who wishes an authentic Brasserie experience and delicious food cooked to perfection. Thank you so much for making our special day that much more lovely!

An amazing experience and tge lady that helped me with my email booking is an absolute credit to you and I would hire her to be front of house in a blink of an eye, well done 10 out of 10 for food service and atmosphere

The food was absolutely beautiful, the atmosphere was great and our waitress was lovely.

Restaurant is lacking somewhat in atmosphere, & all the hard surfaces means it’s noisy. For some unknown reason we were given a gluten menu. And I found that there was too much raw onion in the crab starter, that overpowered the subtle taste of the crab.

A long looked forward to Lunch ruined by a totally lacklustre service from the waitress. Rule #1 in Hospitality: If you do not look after your customers, somebody else will! We were greeted just fine and the gentleman did his best to find us a suitable table. I am not sure if being 15 minutes early was a problem. We took the corner table left of the entrance. We'd been sat for barely 2 minutes when the waitress came across, greeted us in a tired monotone way and did not even bother to look up from her screen. She asked for our drink orders and also if we were ready to order our food....still staring at the screen and not looking at us!. We'd been here only 2 or 3 minutes and were being rushed to order our food. That I do not like. Drinks were ordered and off she walked,.. Yes she was still staring at the screen of the (i)pad they use nowadays to take orders. We were having a really bad feeling about what we were about to experience from here on in. We felt like we had disturbed her. The same Waitress comes back with our drinks a short moment later. She places the cloudy lemonade on the table and then my drink, the pompello sparkling wine thingy. She could not even be bothered to pour some of the lemonade from the bottle in to the glass. We then found a big lipstick mark on the glass... And that was it. Clearly, this Waitress was not paying attention to what she was doing let alone paying any attention to us. It's her job to make sure the drinks, the glasses they come in, the food and the plates they're on, are in a fit state to serve. If not, she must refuse to accept it from the bar or kitchen. We were not about to spend nearly £100 on a 3 course A La Carte lunch with such poor and almost rude standard of service from this place. In my experience, the standard of food tends to follow the standards of service. And this place has the audacity to want to add 12.5% to the customer's bills. For what exactly? Tips are earned and not an automatic right as sadly seems to be the norm in restaurants today. It means the staff have no incentive to do a good job, go above a beyond for their customers, as they are almost guaranteed a whopping 12.5% on top of everything! Actually, at this place it's to pay for the staff's food and drink they get whilst on duty. That is rather cheeky I think. Or is it really to supplement a poor pay they receive in the first place? I paid for the Pompello drink which to be honest at £6.95 is overpriced for what it is. A splash of red cordial, a thin half slice of grapefruit and a small amount of what tasted like some cheap plonk. You're Better off drinking a cherryade. You only get one chance to make a first impression and the impression I got was that they don't really care and just do not know what real Service is. It takes a lot more than just taking orders and carrying them to the table to be a Waiter/Waitress. It means paying attention to the customer, make them feel special and actually caring. Look at them when you speak to them, not at the screen of your ipads! Make recommendations even. Help a customer make a good decision! It's called selling and also shows you want them to have a good experience. As a result of today's experience, I will never go to any of this company's restaurants again! DH (Kent).

Amazing Cote de Boeuf - and very attentive staff. The complimentary bottle of Syrah smoothed the meal and made the final bill very palatable- Cote deserts are the piece de resistance so a lovely end to a Friday evening supper!

My wife and I enjoyed a late lunch on the outside patio. Moules were succulent, both main courses of fish and pork were both cooked and presented well. Service was attentive and the whole experience was most enjoyable.

We love the Canterbury Cote. Manager excellent and always well trained staff. The food is always correct portions and played nicely, excellent wine list. The July Vichysciosse soup superb. It never feels like a chain it feels like France.

The staff didn't seem to notice we were there , we got a drink after 20 mins and after them serving three people who came after us , we got our meals after others finished there sweets. The starter was over cooked and I had to send it back and choose something else , then that was a long wait and they didn't apologise. All in all we had a really bad experience for what is usually a really good one.

Excellent service and good food, balanced time in between courses. Very loud party which drowned our conversation.

It was ok. Food was tasty but a bit overpriced for what you got. Table was very small and right next to a cupboard that the staff needed to use so they had to lean over our table a few times so not very well placed. Overall not somewhere we would visit again.

Do wish they wouldn't just add 12.5% for tips onto bill May be optional but then why add. We always tip but this way it feels forced as it's based on cost of wine and food rather than people numbers and level of service by all Otherwise all great

Very nice restaurant in middle of Canterbury. Good and extensive menu with seasonal options. Very good service, and staff always very pleasant. Has a small outside area. Can get noisy at times, and tables a bit close together.

Starter, apple & cheese salad, lovely, main steak frites could do with one veg or a small salad as looks a bit sad without. Some staff great, others seemed like rabbits in headlights but it was busy. Not awful but not amazing.

Not my best experience today, just too busy. Main course was tepid, inedible. However was replaced. First water spilt over table and bags, replaced. Asked for another and never received. Normally excellent, so just a blip!

Enjoyed it very much, always a bit too noisy & could do with some sort of baffle to keep the level down. Waiter got one order wrong and had to correct it.
