Excellent food, good atmosphere and efficient and friendly service.

Always my number one choice. Food is consistently of a high standard. Staff are welcoming and friendly and with a service to match. Cote always represents value for money.

Food and service excellent but noise levels rather overpowering. Well worth a visit.

Saturday lunch and the restaurant was full. We were next to a particularly noisy table, but we still enjoyed our food and marvelled at the cheerful approach of the staff, who were clearly under considerable pressure

The staff were excellent. however the minute steak we ordered was awful and although kindly replaced without any fuss, the second one was the same. Therefore, quality of meat awful. Staff cannot be faulted. We have eaten the steak on previous occasions and they were far better. So, not the usual enjoyable meal as we usually experience unfortunately.

Visited Cote in Canterbury this morning with my daughter for her 21st birthday breakfast. Really lovely experience. We were greeted with bucks fizz complimentary drink and at the end of our breakfast my daughter was bought a chocolate dessert with happy birthday written in chocolate on the plate. Really lovely touch thank you. Made the experience very special.

Brilliant food, excellent service & pleasant atmosphere. My husband was feeling unwell so didn’t want to eat, yet no-one pressured him. All round very positive experience.

Lovely food and service, just one little negative, we were seated upstairs and the sun was very strong and shining through the Windows, could do with some blind just to stop the glare.

We chose to go upstairs, we'd always had breakfast downstairs, and it was much more relaxing. We were a group of 4 and all chose different things which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Our waiter was very efficient, friendly and knowledgeable and could tell we wanted to enjoy one another's company so he didn't hover over us but could see when he was needed. We will definitely come back for lunch again.

Again, an excellent and unusual meal at the reliable Cote. Whitebait, delicious chickpea-based 'cake' (always a good veggie option)and excellent pot au cholate.... great service but v busy and must reserve.

We had one friend who was hard of hearing and another needing a gluten and dairy free menu and these were catered for with no fuss and lots of consideration. Sitting near the door definitely cut down on noise we have encountered before.

Throughly enjoyed our meal with good friends and very helpful staff.

Our manager is excellent. We came 45 minutes earlier than planned and no problem. Very new young server, yet did her best.

Pleasant meal, though the cornichons were forgotten about until I mentioned them, and the leeks were a little overcooked, but good service and good for the price. Will certainly come again.

Enjoyed our meal at Cote, menu was interesting and varied and the meal was very tasty, no issues at all. Also really liked the complimentary sidecar cocktail, a nice touch to make the evening more special. Service was firendly and prompt. Well done to all the staff

The service and ambience were excellent. In retrospect the butterflied fried chicken was overcooked: I should have complained but everything else was so nice. It was v solid and it should had had some softness inside.

Had three delicious courses. Steak was of course expensive but really tasty, definitely worth it.

Couldn’t find fault (maybe change lift music) but can’t use that to criticise a lovely meal!

Very nice restaurant in the centre of Canterbury. Good food with excellent menu choices. Very competitive prices on some menus. Service was ok on this occasion, but not as good as on precious visits. Staff seemed rather disinterested! Can be rather noisy if restaurant busy, as tables close together.

Nice restaurant with good menus and good value for lunch. Staff very pleasant and prompt service. Good position in centre of pedestrianised area, near shops and Cathedral.

Cote fever fails to please the pallet - everything cooked o perfection and each course just the right size, can't recommend this restaurant highly enough.
