First waiter very poor no customer service! Chargrilled chicken not chargrilled sent back Replaced with steak - but boring Other waiters and manager attentive when we complained. Bury st Edmunds cote much better experience. Get it right first time Cambridge

6 of us dined; 3 on set course & 3 a la carte - every course delicious & service couldn't be better! Lovely dining experience.

A very pleasant evening the staff were excellent and the choice and quality of the food was second to none. We will be returning soon!

This is the first time I have visited Cote outside of the great value set menu times so ate from the a la carte menu. The veal escalop was extremely good as were the lamb chops. You do however have to buy sides as an extra. Service was very friendly and efficient in spite of being very busy.

There is always an efficient welcome. I can recommend the delicious steak/frites, or chicken. The service is friendly and very good. Nice selection of wines. I would recommend Cote, Cambridge.

Very good a quick service. We chose from the rapid selection. My husband had the steak and I had the chicken - both were delicious

Friendly staff and tasty food. A very nice atmosphere that made the evening even better. I will certainly visit again to try the dishes I couldn't try this time.

Nice staff, food good. We have been to Cote in Peterborough on a previous occasion which was better, but I guess Cambridge is a bigger/busier restaurant, so maybe that was why?

Good service from friendly staff. We had tuna rillettes and a a pear and endive salad followed by haddock parmentier and pan roasted hake from the pre theatre menu. All nicely prepared and delicious.

Attentive staff that were not overwhelming. They were very accommodating of gluten-free needs and had lots of options. Both of us were very pleased with the quality of the meal.

Excellent food; friendly and timely service. The cost of the lunch was reasonable and a variety of gluten free options were available. These were clearly identified when the food was brought to the table.

Good food and atmosphere with friendly and efficient staff. Not a 6 only because Cote serves a main dish salad in a bowl - almost impossible to tackle with a knife and fork.

A great meal off the lunch/ pre-theatre menu. Lovely food and very quick service meaning we were well in time for the show. Highly recommended.

Cambridge Cote has always been a joy to visit. It has been my first choice for just myself or my family for about 4 years. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is excellent.

For a restaurant visit with a child with coeliac requirements this was great and allowed us all to eat together very happily. Great choice, reasonable menu prices and good service.

As usual this place is Great for food and great value. Look out for their special offers. More so really nice helpful staff! Accessible central location - what more do you need ! If you visit in April you dine with a super view of St. John's College beautiful apple blossom

The staff were relaxed pleasant and polite. The food was well cooked and delicious.It seemed as though nothing was too much trouble.The only small complaint was that they failed to recognise the promotion we had come for when responding to the bill.This was soon rectified.

Was well looked after by staff and meal was served with good cheer and helpful suggestions. Quality of food good and promised bottle of wine provided immediately. A very pleasant evening.

My only fault was that my meal was a tad too cool for my liking. Otherwise excellent food, wine and staff friendly and courteous. Tasted delicious too.

Excellent service and wonderful lunch! The set lunch was lovely, chicken and couscous followed by the very best creme caramel that you can beat even in France. Washed down with a bottle of Meteor a fine blonde craft beer.

Excellent evening and food. Only downside, which was not Côte's fault was that someone decided to clear the drains outside with noisy lorry. Otherwise great.

Never had a bad experience, and anything Ive not been happy with has always been put right immediately - the way it should be. Very impressed!

We chose the set menu which has a good range of dishes to choose from. Our meals were very tasty and excellent value for money. We would have preferred the hot food to have been hotter.....

Typically French but better cooking than you get in many restaurants in France nowadays. Excellent service as usual. I am writing so many reviews because we are going to Cote so many times it is difficult to write without repetition. We all had a very happy lunch until 4ish.

Sadly swordfish special was off so was sent back. There was also a new waiter who wasn't really up to speed with service. We were compensated with a free main and drinks. Normally much, much better.

Consistently good food and service. I go there with my family often and have started taking international clients there during the week and they love it

Great food plus good service, that's why we go there regularly. Enjoyed every course, different menu each month so there's always something new to try out. Especially love the good value set lunch.

The staff were very helpful and friendly and we all enjoyed the meal. We had plenty of time to chat and would like to come again.

The ood was good but unfortunately had run out of scallops and the replacement squid was a little disappointing. Service friendly if a little slow at times but all round a good experience. My guests enjoyed it!

Food was delicious and the service was excellent! I do recommand this restaurant if you like french food. We both enjoyed our visit at Côte Brasserie.

Excellent service on a busy Mother's Day. Beautiful food and not at all rushed despite there being a queue for tables. Thank you very for a lovely lunch.

Staff didn't know which order was for whom. Waiter changed sauce for a steak from one plate of food to another when he didn't know who had ordered what. Spinach was very salty - this was a comment made by several dinners. The "complementary" water was tap water in a bottle - what, am I meant to be impressed? Nice bottle, is it also complimentary, can I take it home? I hope the 12.5% service charge, automatically added to my bill, actually goes to the staff and not into the company coffers. Altogether slightly disappointing. Would I recommend - a good question.

As always, reliably good food and service. Only downside that my husbands burger was overdone. Apparently no longer allowed to serve medium/rare !! Apart from that everything was great as usual.

The restaurant seems to be very popular coz when we were there, we saw the staff turned down many walk- in customers . The place was packed. The food is great and the staff is so friendly and effiecient. The only down side was when it was full house like this , we needed to wait quite a while for our food.

Amazing food and excellent service. Staff were friendly and had no issues with us being noticeably early. Food was delicious and the wine recommendations were spot on. Fantastic evening.

The Food was nice, but my duck breast was warm, rather than hot, and the watercress garnish consisted of mant brown leaves and a lot of root. I wouldn't have garnished any dish at home with that standard of green. My son's risotto vert was tasty, but could have done with some more pesto.I didn't say anything in the restaurant, as sending back food is always difficult for the other diners. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Fabulous food, fantastic staff and a lovely relaxing place to visit. Highly recommended for every occasion. Beautiful place to sit and watch the world go by. I really cannot praise the staff highly enough.

Great experience, good food and good service plus the grandchildren were well looked after. It was a nice, combined Mothering Sunday and birthday lunch enjoyed by all eight of us. I am sure that we will be back sometime soon.

Our poached eggs were under cooked , my breakfast was cold , we weren't allowed to sit in window , and they forgot my pot of tea overall not the best of experiences - don't think I will be going back for breakfast again!

Food was good but service was not as good as it usually is at Cote. We came 10 min early and we were asked to wait, which is fine but we were not offered to order drinks. Tables were not cleaned properly, service was slow and chaotic and at the end waiter was not up to standards, He expected from me and my Mum to help him with passing empty plates and he only longed his hand towards us without at least politely asking us to help....very surprising and not the type of service we like.
