Good value, high quality meal as usual. Attentive waiting staff. I had the hake from the "pre-theatre" menu, followed by the creme caramel - both very tasty and well presented. We had limited time, so kept to 2 courses, and I thought we had to wait a little too long before the meal appeared from the kitchen - but worth waiting!
Had to (greedily) remind about a special offer and bread allegedly included with soup - but staff very pleasant despite being busy and food excellent.
My guest had to return his muscles which were inedible and should not have been served.rightly an apology was made and no charge for them and 2 glasses of wine were given free.this is the first time this has ever happened and friends a and I eat 1\2 times per month. Handled well but shouldn't have happenedf
Lovely restaurant - the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. We have always been impressed with Cote but this one is particularly good. Highly recommended.
Food is classic french, cooked to a good standard, with plenty of choice. Wine is reasonable, even the house. Side dishes àre overpriced. Staff are friendly & attentive.
Early Saturday evening and getting busy - good job we booked! Staff coping admirably and still with their friendly and efficient manner. Crepe Grand Marnier excellent - should be on the menu more often
It's really good to go to a restaurant and be recognised as you enter. It's not as if we go as frequently as once a month to this Cote. Monica was on good form and our waitress Agatha was very efficient and always smiling. We go to an number of Cotes and always find charming and polite staff who find the time to chat a little as they are working which we really appreciate. Keep it up and well done in opening a new restaurant in Harpenden this week. It's our home town but we will still visit others in the area just to experience the slight difference between restaurants.
Great service excellent food as usual. The Calamari and Duck was to the usual high standard. The wine was also very good. This remains my default go to restaurant.
Lovely friendly and efficient service, flexible to our different arrival times and sweet to our toddler. Lovely food too: delicious cod special. Thank you so much.
Lovely meal attentive and friendly staff.Excellent attention to daughter's allergies. They made us feel confident that they understood and it was a great experience. Thanks
Great food, fantastic service and atmosphere, will go again! A good place to meet in Cambridge and very central. We loved it all, Thank you!
Visited with friends on weekend away. Great menu choices and food was delicious. Prices were very reasonable particularly the steaks. Service attentive. Would certainly revisit. All Good!!
Prompt service despite it being a fairly busy Friday evening
The waiter was rude. Impatient. He made a faces. Made us feel we weren't spending enough. Finally, we asked him to take the service charge off the bill. He didn't ask why. Obviously he knew. Other waiters were fine.
It was lovely. Service was great, friendly, not rushed at all...food was good. Happy to find a nice spot in Cambridge. Would definitely go back.
Always very good food, great location and three courses for less than fourteen quid, amazing value pre theatre meal deal! Will visit again very soon!
Extremely busy, but it was Fireworks night, so no surprise. Main reason for the 3 was not the service it was the heat - it was so hot that it was actually uncomfortable to be there and I ended up standing outside for a while just to stop myself passing out!! Food was average - my teenage boys ordered the steak and chips which was literally that - a steak and some chips, no dressing of the plate, just a slab of meat (which was cold) and a pile of chips. Very underwhelming. My meal, was excellent, both the main and dessert. As was my husband's, otherwise the rating would have been lower.
Food was superb, service fantastic However we were charged for food that did not arrive. Also I had a Cote award, recognised when I arrived but it appeared on bill. When questioned the free desert was taken off but not the free glass of sweet wine. It should not take 3 attempts to get bill right. I do not blame delighful Bulgarian waiter as all this should be automated but something went wrong.
Brilliant food , great service, Good prices, great location, what more could you ask for! Please open in Bedford we are waiting for you !!!
Easy to book online, confirmation email received. Really knowledgable staff with prompt service. Food very tasty. Only criticism would the tuna steak in the Niçoise salad was very thin and more well done than I would have liked. Will definitely be going back.
Regrettably, this visit fell short of the usual high standards. We had to offer evidence of the complimentary bottle of wine to 2 different waiters, Our starter was served despite having no cutlery laid on the table. We had to walk to the bar to attract help. The restaurant had run out of the Duck. I was served a Port with my dessert which was 'putrid' and way past it's sell by date. We eat here at least once a month and usually have a wonderful experience.
We had a fantastic evening on Saturday. The staff were lovey, very friendly and great fun. The food was delicious. I highly recommend it to all.
Cote always comes up trumps and the Cambridge branch is not exception. Food is of excellent quality- our Breton stew had excellent fresh ingredients and was spicy and tasty and perfect for a chilly Cambridge evening. Service excellent and punctual.Wine list easy to navigate, good value and well chosen. This is my go-to restaurant in Cambridge and will continue to be so.
Very friendly and good service. We all had the set menu and for main courses we had the pork, hake, steak and moules. Everyone said their food was delicious. Great!
Food excellent as usual, lovely menu and my favourite starter Crab mayonnaise has been re-instated, HURRAH! Service friendly and helpful, nice atmosphere.Great views of Cambridge life from the front windows.
Cöte is an excellent restart. The ambiance is pleasant, the food is excellent, the service is good and polite and the prices are reasonable bearing in mind the quality of the food,
Had a lovey meal in the Cambridge Cote last night. Despite the restaurant being full service was excellent as the the food. I’m not surprised though as this is the norm for the restaurant.
As always, we had good service, excellent food and felt welcome for our little regular lunch date. We will return soon and always look forward to seeing Lilly!
Always a pleasure at Cotés. Staff friendly and professional. Food is at a high quality and the price is very reasonable . Would recommend Cotés to all .
Enjoyed our lunch in a pleasant atmosphere. The moules frites we excellent. Recommended

The staff were friendly and professional. We had requested a window table which was acknowledged and we were given a choice of tables Lovely food and the Pre Theatre Menu was great value. Consistently good. Thoroughly recommend.
The restaurant was very busy so the service wasn't up to its usual excellent standard. I had the moules frites and the dish was disappointing the mussels were small & so was the portion.
We brought some friends who hadn't been to a Cote before. All enjoyed the meal: plenty of choice and all well cooked and delicious. We made a poor choice of rose wine, which was not up to usual standard.
As always good food good service & all for a very good price. We were 6 people & alI enjoyed their food. I can recommend.
One of the very few menus we could have chosen all of the options ! Great service from Lucy and great welcome when we arrived. Accommodating, professional and engaging
Excellent choice for my birthday, being a Coeliac and having a gluten free menu is wonderful and makes choosing What to eat much easier. The food was well cooked and presentation was good as was the service.
Cote never fails to deliver! The menu offers a wide choice of dishes. The service today was, as always, excellent. New winter menu now available.
We went for a pre-theatre meal for two and had the set menu which was first class together with attentive service - so everything was as expected from previous experiences at this lovely restaurant.
Simple and very well executed French bistro style food, in a a relaxed atmosphere with friendly, knowledgeable and professional waiting staff. The steak frites is a classic, and see if you can decide between the chocolate pot and the chocolate mousse - both delicious.
Polite and efficient staff, food exceptionally tasty. We chose today from the new November Lunch menu, good choice and excellent quality as always. Highly Recommended.
good food, good servoce, nice ambience we had a very nice de-stressing lunch in a busy day v good steak/frites with sides of french beans and creamed spinach
Lovely atmosphere, great service and really good food. We will be going back! We had a mixed needs group and everyone had a delicious meal.
Love the place: food, service, ambiance but why oh why can’t they warm the plates? I’m part of the rewards scheme and visit other Cotes in London and Cardiff. Same issue there.
Good value as always - recommended and ideal for pre theatre meal.

One main arrived a long time after others and spoiled the social aspect of eating, offered pud for free, but didn't really make up for it, also food here not as good as the B St Edmunds or B Stortford Cotes.
Excellent food with excellent service. I know of no other restaurant that offers such good all round value. Cote also has a reasonable choice of wines .
Instead of the lunch menu, we opted for the breakfast which is available until 1.00pm at weekends. Full English with juice and coffee, well cooked with usual good service.
Cote in Cambridge is a lovely restaurant in a buzzing area of the city. The restaurant itself is very nice, the Staff and food are excellent

We had a really good meal, the rump of lamb was delicious. Service was excellent, staff are friendly and attentive, but remain very professional. This is one of our favourite eating places in Cambridge. You do need to book a table, certainly on Fridays and Saturdays.
