Côte Cambridge

We went for a special mother’s day brunch, but the service was poor and rather abrupt. I have dined there’s for lunch before, and was happy with the experience, but I won’t return for breakfast or lunch again.

This was my first visit to Cote and there were so many great choices on the menu I found it hard to choose. I asked for a recommendation between two dishes and was talked through each dish and sides that would compliment. The food was delicious, the staff and service was great. I can't believe I've not been before now!

Early evening supper after evensong at Kings on a rainy evening. Very cosy to be in Cote watching the rain falling outside while enjoying a tasty supper and the usual excellent service. What more could one want?

Truly delicious food. I had Breton fish stew which was so fresh & tasty; my partner had Tuna Nicoise which he really enjoyed; wonderful service. Highly recommended.

Lovely atmosphere, excellent food and attentive service, still our favourite restaurant offering an all round service from charming friendly staff. Cote really shows how to offer consistent service and a great menu.

Great staff and service as usual, this time the smoked salmon was not good half of it was hard and unpleasant. Everything else was very good. I still love Cote!

Delicious food. All staff were absolutely wonderful. Really do not need 25 words minimum to say how the meal was enjoyed, again wonderful, cannot wait until the next time.

As usual excellent service, excellent atmosphere and wonderful food. Staff are always attentive and our food was with us quickly and we enjoyed the whole experience.

Warm and friendly staff on arrival, and given table at window. Relaxing ambience and had the set menu. The pea and mint soup was delicious, followed by sea bass which was cooked very well. All delicious.

Can’t praise Cote enough. The whole family choose Cote every time

Food and wine was good as usual. However the part of the restaurant that we chose was unexpectedly cold, and whereas the starter was delivered promptly, the main course took another half an hour.

Service excellent and food delicious. Very efficient and accommodating - especially as busy & we had an extra to our table, can recommend the fish stew - loads of shellfish and really hearty. Good value.

first time in Cote Booked it for my husband’s birthday. We had a very enjoyable experience and will definitely be returning we next visit Cambridge

Small portions and average quality food. Poulet was dry and tough. Coffee costly for a very small cup. Look elsewhere if you’re looking for a decent meal in Cambridge

The food I had for dinner was delicious and the soup was very tasty.I also appreciate the waiter’s free drink offer as a compensation for changing my table.All the staff very so kind and friendly.Thank you so much

Excellent food, brilliant service, comfortable seats, nothing more could be desired. We have eaten at Cote restaurants in Bath, Richmond, Seven Oaks, Shrewsbury and many times in Cambridge. We love it!

All the staff were pleasant and helpful.. we had the two course menu which was a full, satisfying meal and enjoyed the Begerac white wine

The service is excellent as well as the food. We went for the lunchtime/pre theatre menu which had plenty of choice and was excellent value. I would certainly recommend it. The reason why I didn't give maximum marks is I find that the tables are on the small side and the bottle of "complimentary water" is rather heavy, not easy to poor and only hold a small amount of water. A jug or a clear 1 Lt bottle would be better.

Excellent food, wine, & (of course) service - as ever, staff could not be more helpful. My friend and I will definitely be back. Loved the £13.50 lunch menu.

The food is not really french style and the portions aren't that big. The prices are good and the desserts are, too. The main courses are fine but not as good as one would expect due to the responses on the internet.

Service was slow but acknowledged by staff and reflected in the bill. Lovely surroundings, good food and wine. Children well accommodated for by attentive staff.

Food good, staff helpful and friendly great location in Cambridge. Prices are steep, though, and the surreptitious inclusion of an 'optional ' gratuity was outrageous.

The table wan't ready when we arrived. We had to wait for about 20 minutes. Good service. Good quality food. I would visit again .

Nice pleasant service. Good quality food. The fixed menu is good value. Eating a la carte is not cheap (same as anywhere these days) but that's what we had, as there was something to satisfy even two teenage boys. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Food and drink was well presented. They do add a 12.5% optional gratuity to the bill, but there was no problem when I said I wanted to tip separately. Overall very good and we would eat there again.

Pre theatre menu excellent. Good choice of well cooked food . Service was good. Food well presented and delicious. Blood orange salad particularly appreciated. Thanks.

Delicious meal and very attentive staff who didn't hassle us once we had finished eating. We stayed for 2 hours after finishing our meal just with a coffee and water.

The team were attentive and the food was simple but tasty. We were celebrating a birthday so ordered a glass of champagne each and were well pleased with this too. Would recommend for lunch

Chose Cote again for a birthday outing and were not disappointed. The team member who seated us was helpful in letting us sit where we asked to be, the young lady who served us was very bubbly and helpful and very attentive. Another great lunch, thank you.

The 4 of us had a very good lunch at the Cote in Cambridge yesterday. We ate off the Set 3 Course Menu with several side dishes to share. It was all excellent, good service and we felt most replete afterwards

Booked in advance a lunch table for three. Our greeting was not the best.... but were happy to eventually be taken to a window table. The main problem was waiting 50 minutes to be served moules frites and one other fish dish. The table next to us were waiting even longer. This despite the fact the restaurant was nothing like full at lunch time. The food when it did arrive was excellent... so full marks for the chef... not many for front of house.

Lovely, this month's specials are so lovely, especially the warm beetroot salad with Goats cheese !! We will be going back before March just to have that again.

The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The food was very tasty and came to our table quickly. All in all, a very good speedy lunch.

Great food and great service! Côte never fails to disappoint - we have been many many times and are yet to find a restaurant that is so consistently impressive.

Really helpful staff and a pleasant atmosphere as it was a Saturday brunch-time. We got our food promptly and it was very tasty, especially the Croque Madame!

Easy to book a table, date and time online, food and service was excellent as usual. And I would certainly recommend cote-brasserie to my friends.

We were met by a very welcoming host given a choice of a couple of tables which was nice. We had booked for three and our guest was late and arrived with one other. Our waiter coped with it all and the food we all chose was of the usual high standard.

Booked a table for my boyfriends birthday, we got the best table in the Restaurant. The food was delicious, the service fast and very friendly, perfect!!!

Great value for money meal in a lovely setting. An unfortunate incident involving a glass was well handled by the staff and we left the restaurant satisfied.

Great food. Speedy service. Lovely atmosphere. I really enjoyed my trip to Cote Brasserie in Cambridge. The low lighting and quaint decor make for a cosy location in which to get a great meal.

Extremely busy ,but the staff did cope and the Kir Royal was a most welcome start . The menu answered many different wishes in our group and was served with good humour .I just loved the starters ,imaginative as ever and suggestive of a trip in various regions in France . Good time was had by all .
