Côte Cambridge

Four of us went for lunch. We waited quite a while before our order was taken. The starters were good, however my chicken was undercooked. The waitress was apologetic and offered me a new meal but we didn’t have time to wait for it to be cooked again. They didn’t charge me for my meal.

Our favourite restaurant in Cambridge. Food and wine fabulous and competitive prices. But most of all the staff are the best... attentive and friendly with the ability to make you feel special. Merry Christmas 🎄

The waitress that served our table was lovely. However, by the time we needed to get the bill we couldn’t attract anyone’s attention. In the end I got up to go and find someone as everyone around us was more interested in clearing up the bar area etc and clearly wanting to get home. A different waitress dealt with our bill was extremely brusque: when my card was declined twice she handled it in completely the wrong way, announcing it loudly in front of my guests (TWICE) in a very unsympathetic tone. It turned out that cards were being declined throughout the restaurant due to a system error as the manager came over to explain, and I ended up paying with the same card using the old fashioned paper slip and sliding machine. The manager was very nice. I was pretty disgusted by the other waitress’s manner though, and sincerely hope she won’t be serving my table this evening when I return with a different group of friends. If she is, I will ask that we are moved to a different station. I am a regular customer and don’t expect to be treated in this way. Kind regards Rachel

Although out waitress was very pleasant, the food felt uninspiring (as a ready meal reheated in a microwave).

The food was great and the waitress was an absolute delight! Went for a friends birthday and the staff put one of his drinks and his dessert on the house, which was lovely. Had a fantastic time! Always have a great experience at this restaurant.

Always consistently good food, service, value for money and ambience. I’ve yet to have a bad meal at Cote Cambridge...whether it be brunch, lunch or dinner! Their employees are always cheerful and great to go to a place where they have been working for years. Hopefully this is indicative of the fact that the company looks after them well too.

I thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas celebration in your restaurant and would like to thank you for accommodating our changes at such short notice. All in all a great overall experience! I will be back and bring my friends. I want to try other things on your menu!

Enjoyed all my meal and service was excellent. The only thing that niggled me was the brioche toast which was only toasted on one side, this made it a bit floppy and difficult to spread .

Very enjoyable, delicious food, excellent service. The disappointing thing was no chocolate with the bill.

Our nearest Cote is 50 miles away so we eat there at every opportunity. My wife always has the gf meat platter followed by the fish stew. I have calamari ab duck. They are consistently excellent. The 12 1/2 % service charge is a bit high, but the staff deserve it.

Excellent food but the service in the beginning was very slow and the restaurant was not busy. Manager did not smile once.

As usual a very enjoyable lunch. A generous portion of sea bass beautifully cooked. The restaurant was very busy but the service was excellent. I definitely recommend.!

6 of us dined and we took advantage of a free glass of Kir Royale. We all ate off one or other of the set lunch menus and the food was great. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful.

Cote was a safe bet, said our French guest who was visiting Cambridge for the first time. We came here for dinner after attending a carol concert at Kings, a perfect evening.

Everything was good and they cater very well for my gluten free diet (Coeliac) It's vet convenient for us to eat here being very close to our Park and Ridestop.

Preferred seating as requested, delicious apple roquefort starter & suggested white wine, only needed a spoon for the haddock and leek sauce. Excellent service, always reluably efficient, attentive but understated.

Quick service & delicious food. (Only constructive criticism: the fire door needs to be made more draught proof.)

LOVE, LOVE. LOVE Cote! Wish you did a loyalty service as I am there all the time! Breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner! All different occasions and with different friends and family. The food is delightful and I love the drinks menu. Cambridge is my local Cote but I will visit Cote when in London/ Bury St Edmunds = anywhere! Cambridge staff really friendly and lovely - thank you

Excellent food and service at a very reasonable price. My only mini gripe was my beef bourguingon portion was on the small side. Having said that my wife went for the half chicken which was a much more substantial portion. Both were delicious however!

Good service and good food. I am always a bit negatively surprised that Uk restaurants automatically add the service charge on the bill. It should be the other way around. If you as customer want to tip.... you do it.
