Excellent food and fantastic service . The duck was amazing. Such a wonderful time celebrating my birthday. Would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant. Great evening had by all.

Excellent food and the fixed price menus are good value. The service was pretty good until we needed to pay the bill. We were in a hurry to get to a concert and the restaurant was suddenly very busy. I eventually went up to the counter to pay. I received an apology for keeping me waiting and the optional service charge was removed from the bill without me asking - which seemed a perfectly acceptable response. We've eaten there on a number of occasions before and this is the first time the service level has slipped a little. We'll certainly be eating there again.

Well cooked nd presented as usual. I was persuaded to have a portion of French beans. They were hard and undercooked. I appreciate that some like them this way but a little more cooking would have suited me better. Should I have been given an option when ordering them?

The overall meal was very nice. However, the Duck was a bit dry and needed more gratin potatoes, and the waitress ordered the wrong Lamb dish for one of the party which meant the extra vegetables arrived halfway through the meal.

We are never disappointed as we get what we expect. Good food and good service. Service is courteous but not too imposing. One is left to enjoy food one company without too much interference.

As usual it was excellent. Our booked table was ready when we got there. The sword fish and complimentary chocolate mouse were both excellent. The free chilled water was all we needed to drink and the bill was modest. What’s more they had turned off the music which made conversation much easier.

The gluten free menu provided an enormous choice (which I greatly appreciated). We both had the king prawn gratinee to start. For mains, I had the lamb rump from the main menu (not the special, though I was tempted) and my wife had the risotto. For dessert I had the chocolate mousse and my wife had the creme caramel. All the food was absolutely delicious. The wines were excellent too but the highlight was definitely the gin & tonic with elderflower liquor and cucumber which was the best G&T I have ever tasted. The service was faultless and friendly. My gluten-free requirements were fully recognised. All-in-all this was the perfect birthday lunch for me and we will definitely be returning to the Cote. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Excellent supper at Côte last night! Having eaten at the Cambridge restaurant countless times over the years we always enjoy the really consistent food and fabulous service, but our most recent visit was undoubtedly the best we’ve ever had here. Food was quite superb, the Tiger Prawn salad (March special) was great and the Escalope of Veal (back finally, summer must be near!) was exceptional. Altogether a delightful evening, rounded off with the usual outstanding service we always receive at Côte.

We breakfast here regularly and both the staff and the food are always excellent. It is a fantastic place to start the day looking out over one of the fabulous colleges.

Lovely restaurant, friendly staff, great service and a nice atmosphere. The only thing missing is more vegetarian and vegan options. The current selection is very limited.

Friendly and helpful staff. The food was delicious with good-sized portions. I had the duck breast which was cooked to perfection. The French 75 cocktail from the seasonal menu was lovely.

As always an all-round excellent evening . Great service, outstanding food, pleasant atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to anyone and I look forward to coming back !

Have had good experience at Cote previously but recent visit was very disappointing. The waiter that took our order was very offhand and borderline rude. Our poached eggs arrived stone cold and several items were forgotten and had to be requested. They did deal with our complaint well though, replaced the waiter serving us and gave us a discount on the final bill. Was a shame though as it has put me off going again.

Would highly rate this restaurant. This is our third visit to Cambridge Cote and we have never been disappointed we will return hopefully very soon.

As usual, a superb lunch with my husband and I both choosing from the seasonal specials. The monkfish and the side dish of Jerusalem artichoke gratin were delicious. Can't wait to return to either Cambridge or Bury St Edmunds Cotes. Linda and John Walker

Frequent diner at Cote, Cambridge. Always serve great food, love the ambient atmosphere, and the service is very good. I would recommend dining here without hesitation !

Overall a very nice meal with good service. My husband was a bit disappointed by the tuna Niçoise salad which had good tuna but not much salad. I enjoyed my complimentary chocolate mousse for dessert and the coffee was very good.

Nice, cosy little restaurant. Prompt and attentive service...a very pleasant evening. Vegetarian options a little limited, but the ones we tried were very pleasant. Would recommend.

Loved the main course I recommend the sea bass. The dessert, the April special, was disappointing but our complaint was dealt with courteously. We eat at Cote regularly and can expect the same high level of service and quality of food almost every time.

Good overall, though service was slow to begin. Peas with main course (in separate dish) were warm rather than hot. Error on bill too, corrected when pointed out.

The rest was rather chilly and the food okay. The service was good. Cote is not what it used to be. The bread is no longer complimentary for example.

We visit Cote once a month and as usual enjoyed our lunch immensely. The food was excellent and the portions today very generous Service was up to its normal high standard. I recommend this restaurant .
