Côte Cambridge

Some menu options were not available due to high demand from the previous evening (31st Dec) but what was available was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Will happily eat there again.

Great menu but very busy. Staff dud well but kitchen slow. Lamb special main superb; beef hot pot disappointingly average. Sorry, we have had far better from one of our favourite restaurants.

The worst restaurant experience I have ever had. No communication between kitchen and service staff, zero management in evidence. Will never eat in Côte again.

Waited about half an hour for the table, but it was NYE so very busy. The restaurant paid for our wine (a lovely gesture) and also have everyone a free glass of champagne on midnight. Lovely food and excellent service.

We met for Sunday morning breakfast at Cote Cambridge. As usual, we chose the excellent Formule deal. Food was delicious and service prompt. We sat by a window onto Bridge Street to peoplewatch, but the downside was a small table very close to others nearby.

he usual warm welcome from the Cambridge manager and his team. and always great food and good friendly service. The food is always consistant in quality which is why it is my favourite place to go.

Côte has the perfect blend of excellent service and brilliant food. I cannot rate this restaurant highly enough - on the rare occasions that something goes wrong, the staff are proactive and happy to set things right again.

Excellent service and food. We were delighted to see a full vegetarian 'menu' - not just a few choices - including vegetarian drinks. We were well looked after, the restaurant was cosy and we had a wonderful time. Thank you.

We visited the Cote, Cambridge restaurant for lunch today( 26th December). We were greeted by the manager, shown to table, menus presented to us. The service, by pleasant staff, was excellent. We enjoyed our meal, which was chosen from the 3 course set-menu. Very pleased with everything.

Brilliant as always, celebrated our engamanet tonight and have celebrated several a nniversarys after having our first date here . . . . . .

A bit disappointing. We were sat near the kitchen where on two occasions trays were dropped & it was very loud. My daughter's food was cold. Not sure we'll go back as it didn't feel like a treat.

The meal was to celebrate my daughters 18th birthday. The complementary glass of procecco for her was most welcome, although at a recent birthday celebration at the Tunbridge Wells Cote, all members of the party received a complementary glass, so some inconsistency. The food was very good, but the service was a little patchy with our wait staff disappearing for extended periods and requests being forgotten, until reminded. All in all though an enjoyable meal and nice atmosphere.

Excellent service and the food was very good 😊 The waitress was friendly and fun. Loved the risotto vert - very tasty and good portion size

Really good food and friendly service. Would especially recommend the steak frites and the crepe with Grand Marnier. Could have been served faster but overall fine.

Very nice meal from Early evening menu. Freshly cooked and good value. Service was OK- although they were pretty busy they managed to serve up our meal within a reasonable time frame (we were going on to a concert).

Delicious lunch, including succulent steaks, a decent bottle of wine and good service for a very reasonable price. What's not to like? Nice start to Christmas!

Friendly staff, prompt service, good food. A small amount of free bread - French style - for the table would not go amiss as this is a French-style restaurant.

The food was delicious and the staff were very pleasant and attentive. We had not noticed a delay in the arrival of our second course but the staff were clearly not satisfied that it was to their standard and offered us complimentary coffees as recompense. One cannot fault their attitude to customer satisfaction!

Always a friendly welcome, being recognised as a previous customer is so much nicer. The food as always was first class, service excellent. If I want to guarantee a good meal then Cote is the first choice.

We had a really nice time at this restaurant. It was getting very busy with big parties arriving but the service and welcome was friendly and quick. Very good food and good value.

A splendid time was had by all. We had a cosy little alcove set aside for us, and even in an extremely busy and lively restaurant we were in an environment where conversation was able to sparkle. Service was absolutely first rate, as it has been whenever I have dined at Cote, despite the fact that it was busy with many large parties. I am delighted and would recommend Cote, Cambridge, to anyone.

Great Meal in a lovely cosy, warm restaurant. Staff were friendly & polite and we had great service. Food was hot, delicious and plentiful. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and looking forward to returning!

The food here is good value for money, but the service was slow. In addition, I had to alert the staff to a charge for drinks we had not ordered or received. They took these charges off the bill, but it is not ideal to have the extra charges in the first place.

The staff was very rude. Poor service. The good was ok. nothing to more to say. Train your staff to be more polite and them how to communicate. Not to shout at the customer. Very unwelcoming.

As with all Cote restaurants we have been to the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our meal was good although on this occasion I did think that the 'frites' were rather over cooked and so were hard. As always the early evening menu is very good value for money.

Relaxed , festive , friendly and delicious, not heavy very tasty lunch enhanced by nice Kirs Royales whilst choosing and elegant glass of claret with good ,succulent steak ,cooked just "RIGHT" . all the rest fresh and good quality . Excellent service, waitress knew her wines. Very tender fillet steaks, cooked to perfection. Praline crepe delicious. Will definitely be coming back for another birthday celebration

Excellent and attentive service as always. Food was freshly cooked and full of flavour. A minor problem with one of the man courses was quickly dealt with in a professional manner.

A choice from the A-La-Carte menu but with a Cote reward of a chicken liver parfait and glass of sweet wine. Busy but usual excellent service

Very slow service and food cold. My french onion soup wasn't piping hot. I complained that my steak was stone cold and they returned it hot but heated up rather than a fresh one, still not sizzling! They took our wine off the bill as compensation which was nice. Our waiter was very nice but as I said everything was slow. The creme caramel was fantastic!

We were a party of four and we all felt we had a lovely meal and the service was excellent. The pork belly was particularly tasty.

The food was excellent! However they seemed to be rushing customers: our main courses came minutes after our starters, whilst we were still eating! The waitress hovered over our table whilst we finished our starters, before clearing the plates away and leaving our main courses.

Delicious food, only omitted one star as there was a bit of an excessive wait between courses for the following one - especially given it was a pre theatre menu.

Had a full English breakfast which was lovely, but the sausage was pink inside... however when I told the waiting staff they were great at sorting it out so quickly getting me a whole new breakfast and then at the end they didn’t even charge me for it! Lovely staff and food!

Having always praised Cote this was a most disappointing visit. The drinks, starters and main all arrived at the same time spoiling what should have been a good lunch time. Please do better next time.

Good food, good service. Menu choices from the pre-theatre menu had a great variety as well. Nice atmosphere Cambridge Cote always delivers despite being very busy.

Very good and tasty food served in a very well-decorated place in Cambrdige, UK. I will definitely go back for a lunch or dinner during my stay.

As ever, delicious food and wine. Staff coping well with a very full restaurant. But why does everyone feel free to enquire about one's health these days? My answer to 'How are you?' is long and a bit depressing, and I'd rather not be asked - 'Good morning' will do.

Very enjoyable evening. The service was excellent including some free fizz for my husband's birthday. Food very good. A couple of steaks a little more cooked than was asked for but everything else very nice.

My starter and dessert (both cold) were fine, but the main was disappointing - hot fish, but luke warm potato and cold sauce/vegetables. Would have been a six otherwise. Staff were lovely.

As always all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food and service was excellent, high chair and space for pram provided as promised. I cannot wait to go back
