Côte Cambridge

I think we were so spoilt and treated so well at the welwyn garden city branch that the standard of service for Cambridge was hard to meet! As a chain I thought the specifics would be on point from presentation of dishes to a special occasion celebration and so was disappointed when we had mentioned on the booking we were celebrating a 19th year wedding anniversary so would like a lovely table to suit the ambience. The supervisor and waiter made no mention of our celebration through the whole evening and seated us in a booth which was away from everyone, I know maybe someone else might prefer that for an intimate evening but for myself the best table in my opinion is where you are surrounded by stylish decor and the bustling of a vibrant restaurant which is exactly where we had sat at the wgc branch greeted with Rose prosecco for the whole party at our anniversary and they also honoured us with the offer for July on cocktails that we booked with which we were taken back by so on that lovely experience we wanted this for our friend's anniversary. The 4 stars are for the staff who were polite and friendly and food was delicious though not as appealing to look at compared to the welwyn garden city branch.

A pleasant evening. with good service and food. Small complaints, a larger table would have been nice and not in such a noisy and busy traffic area (it was a Saturday night) considering we booked too weeks in advance, We were four older customers celebrating a birthday which we mentioned on booking, full marks for remembering this. maybe a little more effort than a blob of ice cream with a candle in it. Overall good job.

I cannot fault the food and service as it was excellent as usual ... but we did feel a bit rushed ... we were booked in for 1pm .... ordered and had eaten both starter and main within 1/2 hour!!!!

Côte Cambridge is outstanding: excellent, uncomplicated, well presented food; surroundings that are a chic modern take on the traditional French brasserie; above all, charming, attentive and highly efficient staff. It all attests to a superb management team and a rigorous commitment on their part to quality. It has justly become an important and much loved Cambridge institution - up there with the Footlights and King’s College choir.

Excellent food enjoyed by all 6 of us for a birthday celebration. The lady maitre d’ at front of house was really lovely, very attentive and did all she could to make our evening special so thank you. We love the choice of the 3 different menus too. Keep up the good work. Can’t wait to come back soon.

After two rather disappointing visits delighted to report that everything was as it should be tonight! Everyone that served us appeared genuine and determined to give good service. Thank you for making this visit a positive experience.

A delicious lunch at a reasonable price with cheerful and efficient service.

Cote is a family favourite. Excellent service and food, as always.

This was our third visit to Cote in Cambridge. I had asked in advance for a quiet table, as my father in law struggles to hear in a crowd, and we had a very nice table waiting for us. The waitress was exceptional, in fact we always think the staff are charming at this restaurant. The menu is varied and provides something for all tastes and appetites, and we all enjoyed our meal. An added bonus was a free "Spritz" for everyone (because I booked through the website), which was delicious. Thank you, we will be back.

Another big success Excellent ingredients , well cooked ,and elegantly presented . Delicious salmon trout , Fried Zucchini , Galantine , smooth and tasty sauces ...with delicious wine to help the lot down ...I could go on and shall be back with friends ! Thank you to ll the nice staff .

Service was its usual standard until we received our Main Course of a Sirloin and Rib-eye steak. The Sirloin steak had been ordered a 'Medium-Rare' with a Bearnaise Sauce, however, when it arrived it was 'Rare' and with a Peppercorn Sauce. The steak was also full of fat and gristle, making it very difficult to eat and enjoy. The rib-Eye steak came with correct sauce , however, although tasty, was over cooked. We were offered a free desert as compensation, however, took a long time to come and we had to rush, as we had transport arranged. Overall, definitely not the usual high standard we had experienced during previous visits.

Have eaten in many Cotes throughout London and often at Cambridge. Very simple.......cannot go wrong!! Food is always good and service perfect.

Excellent food, wines & champagne as always! The a la carte is simply divine. It’s like being in a Parisian bistro. What more can you ask for and not even having to travel to London. It’s one of my favourite places to eat. I’m 65 & travelled a lot & happy to be in Cambridge for this reason....

Decent meal. Atmosphere was okay. Service was also okay. Food was a bit subpar. Meats were either drier or tougher than expected.

Service excellent. Food gorgeous as always. Relaxed atmosphere never feel rushed. Love Cote.

The food was great and the service was good. The environment was friendly and cozy. It is a delightful dinning experience, and the quality of the good is commendable.

It was busy in Cote Cambridge yesterday but this did not result in any sub-standard service or food quality in fact it was fantastic. Our fourth visit and every time it's faultless. I had Trout Fillet and my husband Fillet Steak. At the time I thought why did you order steak, he had been disappointed so many times at other restaurants but not at Cote Cambridge it was superb. Can I just point out that the Cote Cambridge is far superior to Cote London, that's dire!

Service was a bit off, communication between our first waiter and the second waiter that served us later was missing.

Our meal was lovely and service was good up to the point of getting the bill, this was painfully slow, staff were abrupt when asked again, then took another 20 mins to get them to get the card machine for payment. One of our party ended up missing her train!

Everyone took care of us so well. We had a problem with our meal and they were so gracious in dealing with it. Thank you for giving our son a wonder birthday

This is our 'Go-to' restaurant and didn't disappoint on our latest visit.

Staff are delightful. Service is attentive and speedy but never intrusive. Balanced menu with choices to satisfy all and a range of prices. Food is delicious. The restaurant is very popular and can get busy but was quiet last evening. We always enjoy our meals at the Cote Brasserie in Cambridge.

Excellent August menus .Several visits will be necessary to enjoy them all ! The chef takes so much trouble with presentation , accompanying vegetables and other delicious sauces and sprinkling of herbs . ..A sheer delight ! the staff are thoughtful , kind and very professional .And the raw material is well- chosen ,so is the cellar-list . A few hours of delight ,good humour and gourmandise ,very much French style . Well done COTE ! Thank you .

We eat regularly at Cote - both in Cambridge and other cities in the UK, always a great experience. The menu has a good choice and is both delicious and very well presented. The staff are attentive but not overpowering and it is always great to watch the general public milling on Bridge St whilst you eat - a typical summers evening in Cambridge

Everything up to its usual high standard and quietly and efficiently managed by the duty manageress - she is a great asset to your business.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. We had a good selection on the breakfast menu including a range of Gluten Free options.

We had August pre theatre set menu. It’s fun to find out what’s like new menu every month, too. Staffs are always warm and friendly, we would love to come back soon. Thank you.

My daughter -in-law and I had an excellent lunch in the Cambridge Cote today, August 2nd. The food was tasty and the service quick. My only quibble is that they did not seem to know about the cocktail I had been offered on email. However they swiftly provided it and it was much enjoyed.

Enjoyable relaxing meal after our day of shopping in Cambridge. Excellent food and service will definitely be going back.

Always lovely, friendly pleasant staff, great service and really good tasty food. It was my second visit this week too. It’s always a pleasure to eat in Cote, in Cambridge. I had the delicious Puy Lentils with roasted vegetables, so tasty.
